Ratchet & Clank's Story Will Be A Bit Different Than We Thought
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of March 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Ratchet & Clank A new story trailer for Ratchet & Clank has been released and it looks like it will be a bit different than the Ratchet & Clank film's story but for good reasons Up to now the joke about Ratchet & Clank's story has been that it is a game based on a film based on a game. Insomniac Games has been very upfront about that in all of their promotions and interviews so there is no surprise there. But it looks like things may be a bit different in terms of story between the game and the film that the game is based on. Hopefully you can follow along with all of that as plain and simple the PS4 very of Ratchet & Clank's story is going to deviate in quite some ways than the film's. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of March 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Uncharted 4 The next video for the Uncharted 4: A Thief's End making of series has been released and this time we see how Uncharted 4 is pushing the technical boundaries of the PS4 Here we go with yet another "making of" video for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and this time we get to see how the game is going to push the PS4 hardware to its limits. Or at least that is the claim that we have from Naughty Dog on the matter. Based on what we see here it looks about spot on at least for the current state of things and where Uncharted 4 is now that the game has gone gold. Read More...

New Details About The Factions In Mirror's Edge Catalyst Are Out There
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of March 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Mirror's Edge Catalyst The story and world of Mirror's Edge Catalyst has been expanded yet again as we get a look at the factions in Mirror's Edge Catalyst's city of glass It looks like some more Mirror's Edge Catalyst new slid right by almost undetected. It seems that EA has updated the official website without huge word and they have detailed out more on the factions that are changing the game's world. By the looks of things DICE is putting a lot more thought into the story of Mirror's Edge Catalyst than just "these people are bad because we say so" as the last title had. At least that was my takeaway from what I remember. Read More...

Nathan Is All Grown Up For Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of March 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Uncharted 4 The next dev diary for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End has been released and we get a good look at how the team and Nathan have grown into Uncharted 4 Last week we had a good look at how Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has evolved from the first title from so long ago. Of course that time does wonders not only on the game but also on the team over at Naughty Dog who have been working on the franchise for so long. They have aged and they have taken that "wisdom" into thought while crafting Uncharted 4 as we get to see how everyone in the game has aged as well. Such a roundabout way to get here but now we have the latest dev diary to spy on that covers just those themes. Read More...

New Mirror's Edge Catalyst Developer Diary Shows Off Enhancements
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 10th of March 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Mirror's Edge Catalyst A new Mirror's Edge Catalyst developer diary has been released showing all of the basics but also new gameplay for Mirror's Edge Catalyst and how it has all evolved Another developer diary for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst has been released and it does what most of them do; titillate without any substance. I'll never understand when companies like DICE do this but there is something new to watch for the game. Of course this could all be On EA's side of holding back information until we get closer to launch but seeing as Mirror's Edge Catalyst is a ways off with its May 24th release date I think we all need something more to tide us over. How Far We Have Come In The Franchise With Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of March 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Uncharted In preparation for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End there is a new video series to prep us and this one goes back to Uncharted’s roots to show us how the game has evolved Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End may have been delayed until May 10th but that doesn't mean the hype train has stopped rolling. In fact it looks like the schedule is still on track as it was before the delay as Naughty Dog is bringing us more behind the scenes that would have ended just before the official launch of the game. Either that or PlayStation's video team was too eager to give us a look at everything going on behind the curtain for Uncharted 4 and just wanted to get the word out there ASAP. Read More...

Mirror's Edge Catalyst Shows Off How To Hit & Move
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of March 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Mirror's Edge Two more gameplay trailers for Mirror's Edge Catalyst have been release and the both emphasize on the huge improvements from Mirror's Edge on combat and movement More gameplay for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst has seeped out into the world and is ready for our digestion. This time we get to see how DICE perfected the combat and movement aspects of the game from where they once were. Not that there was a huge issue on any of the in my book but as long as EA is paying for it they might as well make some improvements. We wouldn't want to pay for something that we already had right? Get Ready To Dance With Ratchet & Clank This April
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of January 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Ratchet & Clank The release date for Ratchet & Clank has been set and we have some more groovy Ratchet & Clank gameplay footage to get us all pumped for the reboot If you were wondering about any of the similarities that the Ratchet & Clank film will have to the reboot video game then you can add the release date to the mix of things as it look like we are set for and April 12th release date for the PS4 title. Of course as this is a reboot and not a remastering of the original Ratchet & Clank we have more to look forward to from Insomniac Games for this new game than just pretty new graphics. Some of which will be set by the film and game to reset the origin story that many PlayStation fans have grown to love. Read More...

CES 2016 Hands On — Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of January 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Rush Of Blood While At CES I Was Able To See Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood It was only announced a few months ago but Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood was one of the huge titles on display at CES 2016 in Sony's VR section of their booth. PlayStation didn't have a huge section this year but this Supermassive Games spin off from the main title was one of the bigger things for the PS4 and PlayStation VR here. Lines were up to an hour and a half long to play the ten minute demo of Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood and I braved it just for you so I could let you know how the game is shaping up for all of us.
