Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site I don't think there is a gamer out there that can claim this wasn't a huge week for all things video games. There was something for everyone this week; even though some of the news was a sad note for a huge portion of gamers out there. Resident Evil 7 A newly licensed candle for Resident Evil 7 has popped up and aims to bring a 4D experience to Resident Evil 7 through VR as well as scent If you were starting to get brave enough to give Resident Evil 7 a play through in VR, or you already have, then it is time to try and up the ante here again. As it turns out, Capcom has another way to trick the senses here for the game as they have joined forces with merchandiser Numskull to bring a candle to us for the game. Styx A new cinematic trailer for Styx: Shards Of Darkness has released and it shows off a bit of Styx's stealth tactics and mayhem he can create in the process We are all still waiting for a solid release date for Styx: Shards Of Darkness as March is still the only part of the date still set out there but that doesn't mean that the videos and fun have to stop. Of course not and that is just what Cyanide Studios has brought us here yet again for the game with a new trailer aimed to highlight the thing we know Styx is good at; Stealth. I mean, his last title was named Master Of Shadows and with a name like that, not to mention how the game actually played, stealth was his strong suit and I know I was able to put it to some amazing use from start until the end. Resident Evil 7 A new trailer for Resident Evil 7 has popped up online and it shows off a good chunk of Resident Evil 7's horror aspect as well as a few other things There is nothing like a good dose of Horror to wake us up in the morning and that is just what we have here for Resident Evil 7 in its new trailer for the game. It may not be the jump-scare and gore that you may be thinking of, but it is a nice look at the horror that Capcom has put together to bring the franchise back to its roots in the genre. Resident Evil 7 has been getting more and more attention for just that and since the demo popped up for all to experience now it has only been escalating more as we get ever so closer to the January 24th release date. Guardians Of The Galaxy A release date for Guardians Of The Galaxy's physical version popped up at GameStop and could point to when Guardians Of The Galaxy will launch this year It looks like we may have a timeline for when to expect Guardians Of The Galaxy to release; or at least the first episode of the season. It looks like there was yet another screw up over at GameStop and the release date for Telltale Games' physical version of the series popped up online. Given how they usually run their releases for digital and physical versions, we may be seeing Guardians Of The Galaxy landing sometime in late March or early April for the digital release as the physical version was listed as April 25th on the site before being pulled back down and hidden again. Resident Evil 7 A new event for Resident Evil 7 has been announced and will physically place people in the world of Resident Evil 7 and all of its horror As if Resident Evil 7 wasn't already terrifying enough with just the visuals and taking away the VR experience, but it looks like things are going to get a lot scarier for those who opt to take the plunge. As it looks, Capcom is bringing a real-world version of the house from the upcoming title and having people play out some of the events in real life as well. Final Fantasy VII Remake Another listing for Final Fantasy VII Remake indicates that we actually may see the first episode of Final Fantasy VII Remake sometime this year Here we go with just a bit more pointing to the fact that we may be seeing Final Fantasy VII Remake at some point this year. This isn't the first time something has popped up like this of course but to the dismay of Square Enix it looks like retailers just can't stop letting things slip out a bit earlier than they should. Like I said, this one also shows that we could be seeing the first episode of Final Fantasy VII Remake this year as there are now options to pre-order it all right now. CES New hardware and partnerships for VirZOOM at CES 2017 have led us to a place where the first vSports event could be held at CES this year It is a rare instance that we have something here that is about health here but seeing as gaming is getting mixed in we had to have a look at the VirZOOM during CES this year. More so when you look at it as we are getting some of the first vSporting events out here as well. Grand Theft Auto V Liberty City is coming to Grand Theft Auto V thanks to the work of some modders out there and it will flow in Grand Theft Auto V just as DLC If you are here then you are most likely excited to see that Grand Theft Auto V is going to be letting us venture across the ocean in game and actually make it to Liberty City. It was on the map and in the distance from the start back when Rockstar Games first launched the game so it seems like it would be about time to see it coming. Just like last year, the next Call Of Duty title has been given a tease and many have their thoughts on where Call Of Duty is going in 2017 Maybe you saw it or maybe you missed it with all of the New Years celebrating going on but the next installment of Call Of Duty has been teased out there in some manner. At least this is the speculation given what happened last year with Infinite Warfare and what Sledgehammer Games posted just at the beginning of the year. The Steam Awards The winners of The Steam Awards have been announced with all of The Steam Awards winners being selected by users for the first time ever Here we go with the start of the new year with The Steam Awards first ever announced winners. While many other outlets and award shows were going on well before the end of the year, it looks like there was one that waited right up to December 31st to be able to give all games a chance. At least those that released on PC via Steam as The Steam Awards were all selected by the users during the big Steam Winter Sale and not some hand-picked panel of judges.
