Street Fighter V Adds A New Character Into The Mix For The 2nd Season

Street Fighter V

The third character for Street Fighter V's second season of DLC has been revealed and adds a new-ish character into Street Fighter V that has only been in lore

The next fighter to join Street Fighter V has been announced and shown off. This would be the next fighter at least in the second season of DLC that will bring a full six new fighters into the mix here and now we get to meet Ed. Not the most unique of names that Capcom could have come up with, but given how he's been introduced in the past, it makes total sense on how and why he is coming to Street Fighter V here when the next DLC drops. Whenever that may be though, but it is coming to the PS4 and PC versions of the game so there is at least that.

As for the characters himself, here is Ed. You may have seen him a few times before Street Fighter V in a few story scenes that explain him to be the replacement body for M. Bison. This was back in the SFIV days though and the experiments have advanced Ed's aging so he is where he is right now. Along with the "Psycho Powers" he has to fuel his V-Skill, V-Trigger, and Critical Art moves that can all be seen in the trailer below. This is where you can also see the other outfits and such for Ed that will also be coming in this Street Fighter V DLC in the near future.

Street Fighter V — Ed

At a young age, Ed was kidnapped and experimented on by S.I.N., a division of Shadaloo, in order to become a replacement body for M. Bison. Many of you might remember a young Ed appearing in Rose’s Street Fighter IV story and Balrog’s story in Super Street Fighter IV. Due to the experiments, Ed’s body ages faster than normal humans until they are old enough to be suited for battle. Since Balrog raised Ed, his fighting is centered on boxing but since he carries M. Bison’s genes, his fighting style is enhanced by Psycho Power.

What do you think about Ed here for Street Fighter V? Are you glad to see a pretty much new fighter joining into the ranks or were you hoping for another blast from the past? How do you feel about his abilities and powers to pull in opponents with relative ease here? Let us know down in the comments and discuss. There are still three more fighters for this season of Street Fighter V DLC and when they are shown off, we will have them all here for you. Be sure to keep checking in here for all of that as it comes. Hopefully sooner and not later.
