The Walking Dead Escape was back at SDCC giving all of us a feel for what a Survival Horror game really feels like For the third year running (pun intended) I was able to experience The Walking Dead Escape at SDCC. I broke down what it was all about before but I'll give the quick version just in case you are lazy. In a nut shell it is a real world survival horror event that tests if you could escape from one end of a location, Petco Park in this case, to the other without being swarmed by the undead horde. New gameplay footage for Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes has been released showing off the Guardians Of The Galaxy play set The Guardians Of The Galaxy are nothing completely new in terms of announcement for Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes as half the team was shown during the initial announcement of the game and the rest talked about at E3. What better place to show off the gameplay for the Guardians Of The Galaxy play set though than at SDCC right? During the Skybound Entertainment panel for The Walking Dead at SDCC, season three for the game was announced We haven't even finished off season two of The Walking Dead from Telltale and now we have season three on the way. It has been confirmed during the panel at SDCC where the game was mentioned and then confirmed from Robert Kirkman and the president of Telltale games, Kevin Bruner. A cinematic trailer for The Walking Dead: No Man's Land has been released to announce the new tie-in game The Walking Dead franchise is still a steam roller and in a preempt for SDCC we now have The Walking Dead: No Man's Land announced. The Telltale game has been relatively amazing, the Facebook tie-in social game was ok-ish, and the other console game from what I hear was 'meh'. Now we have yet another title but this time just for mobile from Next Games and AMC. A screenshot from the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain looked real enough to be used for real news This news report has since been updated but it feels more like a PR spin than truly admitting that they screwed up and used an image from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to shock people into believing their propaganda or at least listen to what they were saying. "News" outlet RT and show SophieCo were recently covering a story on children soldiers and were speaking to a former child soldier when the camera panned by and showed a scene from the next Kojima game. Like I said, it has since been updated to state that they knew it was from a video game but I have a feeling that is just to save face as something like this could ruin what the discussion was actually about. Sony and Naughty Dog just announced The Last of Us: One Night Live event for fans to see things, well, live It shouldn't be a hidden fact that many of us loved The Last Of Us. Hells, I'm included in that list there. It was one of the biggest games of last year and it was so popular that Naughty Dog was already working on bringing it to the PS4 shortly after the PS3 launch. During the Bethesda conference at Quakecon there was an announcement of a third release date for The Evil Within Unlike what will happen when playing The Evil Within, calm down. This is not another piece of bad news for The Evil Within but it is a bit of good as it was let loose that the game is now coming out a week earlier now. That means that evil will be taking hold on October 14th now instead of the 21st. That is as long as Bethesda doesn't change their minds after what they claimed at Quakecon here recently. The release trailer and dates for the fourth episode of The Walking Dead's second season have been announced As I stated yesterday, we now have the trailer and release dates for the next episode for The Walking Dead from Telltale. Also as I speculated all of these dates are next week scattered about based on the platform or region of the planet you live in. This means that all of you playing via Steam or on your PS3s in the NA region can look forward to downloading the new episode on July 22nd. Ubisoft is setting up a Parkour obstacle course for those at SDCC to hone their Assassin's Creed skills in real life It really looks like The Walking Dead Escape started something at SDCC as it looks like Ubisoft and Assassin's Creed are now bringing their real world video game experience to the convention with the Assassin's Creed Experience. What is the Assassin's Creed Experience? Well it is an obstacle course that is set up to have participants try out their parkour skills that they would need if they were part of the order of assassin's from the game. Read More...
