Rainbow Farting Unicorn, Yea That Was Said...
by Matt Waitt [ Monday, 25th of April 2011 - 07:04 PM ]
A new video has been posted on YouTube celebrity Freddie Wong's page, featuring a very gaseous little unicorn. Although at first it seems to be a normal humorous YouTube video, the credits point us in another direction. The video starts off with Freddie surfing the internet and getting a pop-up add claiming he has won something. Being slightly more curious than normal, he clicks on the ad and suddenly there are screeches in and out of existence dropping off what sounds like a heavy package. Freddie goes outside to see what it is. Read More...

Review: UFC Undisputed 2010
by Binh Nguyen [ Thursday, 3rd of June 2010 - 05:02 PM ]
UFC surprised us with a lovely right hook with last year's title UFC Undisputed 2009. A year later THQ gives us the slogan “So you wanna be a Fighter” with this year's release of UFC Undisputed 2010. Yeah the name hasn't changed much, but the game certainly has. If you do not know what UFC is by now then you seriously have been living under a rock - especially with names like Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell, Royce Gracie, Randy Couture, George St. Pierre (GSP for short), Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock. Names made famous cause of UFC. Read More...

Q&A with Vigil Games on Darksiders
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 10th of December 2009 - 02:50 PM ]
Only weeks away from the highly anticipated launch, Darksiders is a post-apocalyptic action-adventure that puts you in the shoes of one of the famed Four Horsemen.  Light and fluffy, I know, but after a couple years since its announcement, Vigil Games has positioned themselves and the game in a very advantageous position in the dawn of the upcoming year.  Also not hurting is the fact that the game looks to be shaping up like it's going to blow your mind.Haydn Dalton, lead designer of the game at Vigil, took a few moments to answer some of the burning questions surrounding the game. What Have You Achieved Before The End Of Days?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 7th of November 2009 - 01:37 PM ]
When dealing with the end of the world and pretty much the end of days, what would you expect your goals to be? Probably get laid one last time. Go on a drunken binge. Maybe even see what it is like to kill a person. Maybe even go looting through treasure chests that you may find around the world while riding a horse for 100 miles. Doesn't that sound about right for the general populace of the world? Well what about the horseman of War? Read More...

Then There Was Mayhem
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 4th of November 2009 - 09:55 PM ]
As I am sure by now you have heard of, seen, and/or played a bit of Darksiders. Either from your favorite news source or at your favorite gaming convention. But what is it really all about? How epic of a tale is going to go along with the game about a fallen horseman? I know I've been curious myself. Well curiosity is sated a bit more with THQ's latest trailer for the game. Nicknamed the Mayhem trailer. Read More...

The Ultimate Gaming Wishlist
by Jesse [ Thursday, 9th of July 2009 - 04:37 PM ]
For fans of the WWE, there was a lot to love about last year’s WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009. Visually the game was astounding. The characters models were about as lifelike as you could possibly get with attention paid to the smallest details. A great amount of time was spent revamping the tag team matches adding things like hot tags, illegal blind tags, and having inactive teammates being more attractive while standing on the ring apron. Add in the Inferno Match which debuted in the 2009 game and you have one heck of a game. But having played so many of the previous WWE games (going all the way back to when the company was still known as the WWF) I personally felt like there was so much I had seen before that had been cut out. UFC 2009: Undisputed Review
by Jesse [ Saturday, 30th of May 2009 - 12:18 AM ]
It’s taken years for mixed martial arts as a sport to grow into the worldwide phenomenon that it is today and much of the success is thanks to the efforts of the Ultimate Fighting Championship which has become the largest fighting league in the world. But if there’s one thing that’s been missing is an MMA video game that captures the spirit and the essence of the sport without having to step into the cage and get your face smashed in. There have been half a dozen attempts in the past, but nothing really seemed to work. Thankfully all that is about to change with UFC 2009: Undisputed. Read More...

More Beat Downs
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 10th of March 2009 - 08:55 PM ]
More of UFC 96: Undisputed Not wanting to let games like Street Fighter IV take the lead in fighting games, or at least all the headlines, THQ is pumping out more of those fun commentary trailers for UFC 96 Undisputed. Quite a funny and fun little thing they have going on. But I wouldn't say it is really all that needed given how nice this game looks. Just wish they would show how the controls work for the game. They look like they may be a bit sticky from some of the movements. Read More...

Looking Undisputed
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 26th of February 2009 - 09:30 PM ]
UFC 2009 Undisputed Footage Attention UFC fans, it looks like THQ is getting a great game wrapped up for you to dish out your own fantasy fights within the UFC. Just to show it off, THQ let a bunch more screen shots flow out to tantalize us all as well as a "mock" fight video between two of the fighters from the game. Complete with a not so drunken Joe Rogan giving his thoughts on how the fight is playing out and advantages one fighter has over the other. Kind of a fun little thing to show off the power of this new game. Read More...

THQ Has Spirit, How About You?
by Trina [ Thursday, 6th of March 2008 - 05:57 PM ]
THQ announces All Star Cheer Squad for the Wii and DS Okay get ready to roast me, but I am completely intrigued by THQ's announcement of All Star Cheer Squad for the Wii and DS. As a former cheerleader, I can't help but giggle as I imagine people cheering with Wii-mote in hand in the their living room. Players will enter into the world of competitive cheer leading as seen in Bring it on. "With the explosive growth of the girls gaming market in recent years due to the continued success of Wii and DS, our ongoing goal is to stay at the cutting edge of that success by bringing a brand new property for this segment to these popular systems," said Jim Huntley, director of global brand management, THQ.
