Star Trek Online Beta Impression
by Binh Nguyen [ Monday, 1st of February 2010 - 04:18 PM ]
Space... the final frontier... these are the voyages of the starship Aggrogamer. That’s right folks. Atari, and Cryptic have banded together to make Star Trek Online to enrich the MMO world, and thousands of gamers beamed aboard to play the beta. With phasers set to kill and transporters all set to beam down to the planet surface, it is time to explore like we never explored before. Disclaimer: Remember this is only a beta impression. With the story taking place thirty years after Star Trek Nemesis, you start the game by making your character. Read More...

Dante's Inferno Needed A Montage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 30th of January 2010 - 09:40 PM ]
While not the same montage sequence from Team America, it is none the less as awesome. Just in a different way. One was a comical character build up using marionettes. The other, well a action packed showing of how bad ass Dante is, and will be, through out the game. With Dante's showing him off with all the in game graphics and effects we will be getting here in just over a week. This clip is not all that long, but it will give you a cool feel for what actions and attack Dante will have in his arsenal. If you haven't played the demo all that many times that is. Read More...

A Dead Rising Movie... For Real?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 30th of January 2010 - 03:11 AM ]
Thankfully, it is not being done by Uwe Bole. Un-thankfully, it looks like it will be just a bad Japanese subtitled flick that will have people like me hating subtitles even more. Too much reading when there is so much action going on behind those bogging words. But in any instance, it looks like it is still a go. Here is the trailer for the film, and it looks nothing like I remember from the game at all. Partially because it is only based off the game world and takes place in a separate part of the world and protagonized by two totally different characters. Read More...

iPad Gaming For You... Coming From The UK
by Binh Nguyen [ Friday, 29th of January 2010 - 09:10 PM ]
Two days ago Apple announce their new tablet that they have been working on. We have seen the keynotes, the videos, the ooh's and the ahhh's, and tons of opinions on the device. TIGA, the trade association representing the UK games industry, has announced the launch of Apple's new iPad, welcoming its potentials for creating further creative opportunities for game developers. First up we have Paul Farley, CEO of Tag Games made this statement, “The Apple iPad is another huge milestone in the move from games being consumed via physical retail to digital platforms. The iPhone is a hard act to follow, yet the impact of the iPad on the games industry could be equally as large. Read More...

Kratos' Fury To Quench Kratos' Rage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of January 2010 - 06:08 PM ]
When you have a red, hot rage against the gods like Kratos does, how are you suppose to quench it? A rage that is hotter than the deepest bowles of Tartarus hot. Well with the new Kratos Fury Slurpee being housed in your local Seven Eleven stores in the next week or so. Then you can probably enjoy this Blackberry and Lime flavored frozen delight all the way up until the launch of the game in March. At least that is how it was made to sound from Evan Brody, the Marketing Manager for Slurpee and Big Gulp Brands. To go a bit further for all of this, on each of the four different cups for this promotion there are codes you can input on Slurpee. Read More...

Super Street Fighter IV Flies Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 29th of January 2010 - 03:59 PM ]
So if the AggroCast about the Capcom event didn't satisfy you with what we thought about Super Street Fighter IV, let me introduce you to the new trailer for SSFIV. A new trailer that is full of all the new character goodness and a bit of the new gameplay options. Including a nice little opening showing off the transition from smashing a car in 2D to smashing the car in the 3D world of Street Fighter. The clip below shows off the characters that have been announced and some of their special movies and ultra combos they can do. Also showing off the beautiful, yet confusing to me Juri. Read More...

How Far Is Heavy Rain Going To Push You?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of January 2010 - 09:58 PM ]
Would you cut off the end of one of your fingers to save your own kid? Could you actually do that? Tough to think about in theory isn't it? But in the intro to this new gameplay trailer for Heavy Rain, this is just what is asked of the game character. All in a very Saw type of way. Very cool and very creepy. But that of course is not all that it shows in this awesome new trailer. It also shows off, in a very movie trailer way, a bunch of the other action and a bit more on the story of the game. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of January 2010 - 07:55 PM ]
Well it was rumored earlier that the End would Begin on March 17th from the release date of the God of War III PS3 bundle in Europe. There were no confirmations about it being the true listed date or not. Well that was until now. That is, Sony just announced the official release date for God of War III as the 16th of March. So mark it as official and get ready for the Chaos. With that being announced, Sony was also nice enough to show off exactly what the Ultimate Edition will look like before you open it, and then after. Read More...

Who Wants Four Min Of Lost Planet 2 Goodness?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of January 2010 - 03:31 PM ]
I bet you are getting tired of all of the these trailers by now. No? Good, because here is yet another one to keep up with Mass Effect 2, BioShock 2, and Heavy Rain. This time it is from Lost Planet 2 and it is in more of an episode style that Capcom has been pumping out for the game. Kind of like a small mini-series for Lost Planet than just a trailer. Which is a nice change of pace. As long as they don't give up too much of the game's story and action. Read More...

BioShock 2 Shows Us How To Use The Scout Plasmid
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of January 2010 - 10:32 PM ]
During your play through of BioShock, didn't you always wish there was a way to Scout out what was going on in the next room? Wouldn't have been nice to be able to do that and also set up or actually attack enemies in the next room so they were weaker before kicking down the door for the attack? I know I would have saved a few deaths if I was able to do that. Actually screaming out "I wish I could [insert what I said above]" when I died. Not really, but I can picture it in my head. Heavy Rain Gets All Virally
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of January 2010 - 02:26 PM ]
With the viral campaign for The Secret World kicking off officially yesterday, why not throw another one into the mix. Right? Sony couldn't be out shined by Funcom, that and this campaign will by up and over in a matter of three weeks. Even though it is called the Four Day Experience. Looks like Capcom helped with the math here. In any instance, if you head over to www.HeavyRain. Read More...

'Action' Packed Heavy Rain Footage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of January 2010 - 11:28 PM ]
Hold on to your seats. This latest video clip to hit the internet is going to blow your mind with the action of Quantic Dream's Heavy Rain. Watch as one of the characters goes through their morning ritual of getting ready for the day. The epicness of taking that morning piss. The great hygiene of brushing teeth and shaving. Also all the fun of showering and drying off. Oh, and drinking a bit of orange juice for healthiness. Read More...

Kingsmouth And The Secret World
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of January 2010 - 08:02 PM ]
It has been a bit since we have had any good and fun news about Funcom's upcoming MMO The Secret World. Am I right or am I right? We are still waiting for the continuation of those cool and creepy videos they were pumping out over last Summer, but it doesn't look like that is coming just yet. But instead, it looks like they are starting another viral marketing scheme to get people interested. Marketing by, you guessed it, a "secret" website based on one of the game's cities and battle locations. Or at least how it is before the crap hits the fan. Read More...
