There is no news on what songs or when the songs would most likely be seen, but from the interview performed at SXSW with lead singer/front man, Oderus Urungus, it looks to be in the works. At least if they can clean up the lyrics enough to be on the rated T game. Which I'm sure they will. Just not sure how much of the songs will still have words.
This leads me to think that maybe we should start labeling DLC for games with a rating. At least if it could change the overall rating of the game. Technically that is. There are already quite a few songs on Rock Band that have been edited for content so they can keep their T rating. But what if you want the M rated DLC? Like me.
Nothing worse than singing a song, like Master Exploder or They Say, knowing there is a "curse" word in the original song. They when you sing the word, you get docked in score. I mean, it is not like teens don't already use these words in everyday conversations. Sir Oderus actually, albeit censored, brings up the same points I have when it comes to censorship in the video below.
So give it a watch. Maybe GWAR can get pushed through as the first band to be uncensored in Rock Band. Doubtful. But slaves around the universe can hope.
