Review — Drawn To Death
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 1st of May 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Drawn To Death We sit down and review Drawn To Death. It's a new shooter/brawler that take place on a teenager's notebook of doom. Here's our review of Drawn To Death Today is the last day that you PS Plus members can pick up Drawn To Death and then it flows on out into the purchase arena for everyone. Given that fact, we thought it would be high-time to throw together our review of the game and how Bartlet Jones has done with it all over the last month so you can figure out if it is worth the time and money to add it to your PS4. We also wanted to make sure we took our time and watched as Drawn To Death grew and evolved as a good multiplayer title must to keep the fans happy. Read More...

Review — Styx: Shards Of Darkness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of March 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Styx We sit down and review Styx: Shards Of Darkness. The goblin is back and there is even more to steal & kill. Here's our review of Styx: Shards Of Darkness Styx is finally back and doing what he does best in Styx: Shards Of Darkness; stealing and killing. It's been a long wait since he was the Master Of Shadows and brought his fun to the screen but Cyanide Studios didn't want the little guy falling into the darkness of obscurity and brought us yet another experience through the eyes of the thieving goblin. Hopefully learning from any mistakes and adding in just enough new items to make the game feel the same but enough to warrant the extra funds that Focus Home Interactive doled out for the game. None the less, here's our review on Styx: Shards Of Darkness and just how the game did in our eyes. Read More...

Drawn To Death Is Coming Free For PS Plus & Bringing Amazing New Things
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of March 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Drawn To Death It has just been announced that Drawn To Death will be free for all PS Plus players out there and Drawn To Death will be bringing more exciting extras Back in February we had word that Drawn To Death finally had a set release date of April 4th but also that it was going to run the cost of $20 USD when it was first brought up as free-to-play. This brought on a lot of concern and questions for Bartlet Jones as to what had changed and if it would eventually become one of the titles that PS Plus brought us for free on our PS4. As it turns out, Drawn To Death will be coming to the PS Plus service for free and that "eventually" timeline asked is the same as its launch date. Read More...

Styx: Shards Of Darkness Now Lets You Kill With A Buddy Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 6th of March 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Styx It looks like Styx will be getting another buddy in Styx: Shards Of Darkness and this time it is one of your real-world friends The wait for Styx: Shards Of Darkness is finally over as the game finally comes to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 14th. That's not exactly why we are here though as not only is Cyanide Studios and Focus Home Interactive bringing the game to us but they are also bringing in the ability to play the game with a friend. Not the friend that we've seen already for Styx in terms of his clone but we are getting Co-Op game play in Shards Of Darkness. As if setting up all of our kills solo wasn't going to be fun enough but now we can do it with any of our friends who also enjoy slaying with this little goblin. Read More...

It Is Time To Go Behind The Notebook With Drawn To Death
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of February 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Drawn To Death A new video for Drawn To Death is out and this one gives us a look at how and why some of the Drawn To Death artists crafted the world the way they did Unless you are blind and living under a rock, you should know that Drawn To Death has a very unique style in terms of the art direction. It's not the first of its kind but it definitely shows off the direction that Bartlet Jones wanted to go with in the game and it has captured the eyes of many and the disdain of others. Drawn To Death is definitely not going to be for everyone but at least it is something new and with some solid gameplay to back it all up and I look forward to April 4th when it finally is released in its final form on the PS4. See How A Goblin Is Made Here For Styx: Shards Of Darkness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of February 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Styx A new developer diary for Styx: Shards Of Darkness shows off a bit more of the game as well as how Styx has been evolved since the last game and beyond If Styx: Shards Of Darkness will be your first foray with this little goblin then A, you are missing out, and B, you need a crash course in who this little goblin is and how he has been crafted for the game and how he has evolved since. It would be odd if Cyanide Studios left him in the past and didn't use all of the new hardware and game to further show off this amazing character and while they are odd, they are not that odd. This is why we have a new developer diary of sorts to show off Styx in his new light as well as to get to know his personality a bit more and just to enjoy another great IP that is coming out of Focus Home Interactive. It looks like the team over at Bartlet Jones has finally got everything wrapping up and we can look to be diving into the pages of the game on April 4th here. Werewolf: The Apocalypse Is Getting The Video Game Treatment Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 19th of January 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
Werewolf It has just been announced that Werewolf: The Apocalypse will be getting its own video game version for us to pretend to be a Werewolf out to save the world It seems like it wasn't that long ago that we were talking about a World Of Darkness MMO coming and then being canceled but now it looks like the universe is being brought back in video game form as we now have Werewolf: The Apocalypse getting the same treatment here. Yes, it looks like Paradox Interactive, the people who own the rights to the IPs, have given way for Cyanide Studios and Focus Home Interactive to give bringing this part of the universe to life and hopefully success. Werewolf: The Apocalypse wouldn't be my own personal choice to come from the WoD here but at least it looks like they are still willing to give it a try and give gamers a taste of the table top games in the realm of the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Styx: Shards Of Darkness Is Almost Here To Teach The Art Of Stealth
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 12th of January 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Styx A new cinematic trailer for Styx: Shards Of Darkness has released and it shows off a bit of Styx's stealth tactics and mayhem he can create in the process We are all still waiting for a solid release date for Styx: Shards Of Darkness as March is still the only part of the date still set out there but that doesn't mean that the videos and fun have to stop. Of course not and that is just what Cyanide Studios has brought us here yet again for the game with a new trailer aimed to highlight the thing we know Styx is good at; Stealth. I mean, his last title was named Master Of Shadows and with a name like that, not to mention how the game actually played, stealth was his strong suit and I know I was able to put it to some amazing use from start until the end. Styx Has A Few New Tricks In Styx: Shards Of Darkness To Show Off
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 15th of December 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Styx Another gameplay trailer for Styx: Shards Of Darkness has been released and this one shows off a few more of the tricks Styx has picked up since the last game I know I can never seem to get enough Styx: Shards Of Darkness and it looks like we have even more to sate some of our needs until March of next year when we can play the full game. I just love this little guy that Cyanide Studios has created for us and he only seems to get better with each new video and showcasing we get to see. Especially when we get to see a lot of the new tricks of the trade that Styx is bringing with the next title. Read More...

The Skies May Not Be The Limit In Styx: Shards Of Darkness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of November 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Styx New screenshots for Styx: Shards Of Darkness have released and it looks like Styx may be taking to the skies of Korrangar in the upcoming sequel We all know that Styx: Shards Of Darkness will have us venturing into some dark caves and dungeons to murder our way to some sweet, sweet Amber out there. Now it looks like more of the world is opening up to us as we will be taking to the skies in Cyanide Studios' sequel to the small hit. At least that is what it looks like from the new screenshots we have here for Shards Of Darkness that show off Korrangar in the game and Styx being up to his usual tomfoolery. Read More...

Drawn To Death Will Be Bringing Us A Lot Of Great Content At Launch
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of November 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Drawn To Death The launch date for Drawn To Death is still out in the æther but we have a list of what will come to Drawn To Death at launch Hopefully by now you've had a chance to give Drawn To Death a play through the Limited Access that took place a little while back or at the many different conventions it has been on display at. It's been going through a great evolution since the F2P battle arena game first was shown on the PS4 back at the first PSX but it looks like Bartlet Jones took all the feedback as they promised too and have crafted the game more and more to what we all wanted to see. It looks like there is still some time until Drawn To Death comes to our systems though but that doesn't mean we have to be left wondering what will be coming with it all when it does. Read More...

Styx: Shards Of Darkness Has Been Delayed But We Have New Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of October 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Styx Delays have hit Styx: Shards Of Darkness until next year but with it comes a new look at Styx and some of the upgrades that will be coming with this game It looks like my worries were true as it looks like Styx: Shards Of Darkness has been delayed until Q1 of 2017. I thought this might happen as we got closer to the original timeline that Cyanide Studios wanted to hit but as we had not heard much on the development of the game before now it was looking like a delay was inevitable. Not to tragic of news for a lot of gamers I know as Styx has been more of an underground kind of game already, pun intended, but as the team has been upgrading to the Unreal 4 engine for this game they and Focus Home Interactive though the delay was needed and I am going to side on this for sure. Now that the downer news is over here, let's move onto a bit of the new stuff for Styx: Shards Of Darkness. Read More...

Drawn To Death Gets Some New Characters, Maps, & Content To Look At
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 2nd of September 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Drawn To Death The brawler/shooter Drawn To Death has been progressing along well and now we have a lot of new stuff to look at for Drawn To Death right from PAX It's been a while since we've had the pleasure of writing about Drawn To Death and just how the game has been progressing. Bartlet Jones recently ended the closed access to the game and there were always things changing in the back-end for the game during that but nothing specifically selected to be given out to the public by the team. Well short of all of the streaming of the game and small video clips for Drawn To Death that we all have been putting out there. But for the gamer that has been holding off to give the game a play until its full launch then you will be glad to see two more characters have been added to the roster, a new map, and a whole lot of new content. E3 2016 Impressions — Styx: Shards Of Darkness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of June 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Styx While at E3 I was able to see Styx: Shards Of Darkness in a more intimate setting than just a trailer. Here's my take on Styx: Shards Of Darkness One of the other smaller titles on the floor at E3 that I was excited for was Styx: Shards Of Darkness. This would be the sequel to one of the smaller cult classic titles that Cyanide Studios gave us back in 2014. It is a fun little stealth action title that builds off the story of Styx: Master Of Shadows and from the looks of things builds off the expanded power of the Unreal Engine that they just didn't have before. Thankfully we don't have much longer to wait as the game is still slated to launch later this year for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...
