Xbox One Gets More Storage With A New 1TB Console
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of June 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Just before E3 it looks like Microsoft has some new hardware in the way of a 1TB Xbox One and a new Xbox One wireless controller Usually Microsoft waits until their big E3 showcase to announce anything new with their hardware but it looks like we are getting a new Xbox One announcement a little early. Almost a week earlier than if it was during the normal show but I'll take it. Especially when it comes down to us getting a 1TB Xbox One. Read More...

Looks Like Some Gears Of War: Ultimate Edition Footage Leaked
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of May 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Two very short clips of what is thought to be Gears Of War: Ultimate Edition have cropped up online and point to an Xbox One release for the titles The rumor of a Gears Of War: Ultimate Edition coming to the Xbox One anytime soon may have just received a huge update and confirmation. If things are to be believed it looks like a new bit of gameplay has found its way onto an Xbox video recording service that points to the remastered version of the franchise. Of course the original footage has been removed from the site but the internet is a wonderful thing and nothing stays hidden for long. That being said, we have that lost Gears Of War: Ultimate Edition footage just a bit lower down just for you. Read More...

Square Enix's Witch Chapter 0 Shows How Future Final Fantasy Could Look
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of May 2015 - 09:03 PM ]
During the Microsoft Build Developer Conference Square Enix showed of their Witch Chapter 0 to show the power of DirectX 12 There is no doubt that Square Enix has always been on the leading side of computer graphics and rendering in the gaming world but with their most recent tech demo Witch Chapter 0 [cry] they were able to show off where we can expect to see our next games to go from them. During the Microsoft Build Developer Conference this week showed off said tech demo to show how DirectX 12 can be used to do some truly amazing things visually. In the case of their Witch Chapter 0 [cry] demo it showed how we could get some of the best real-time CG rendering that has been able to pull off a damn impressive CG version of someone crying. The Alan Wake 2 Game That May Never Be…Sadly
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of April 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
A new gameplay demo for Alan Wake 2 has made its way online to show us the Alan Wake 2 game we may never get It always sucks when a game like Alan Wake 2 will never see the light of day. Pun intended. What sucks more is when you get to see what the game could have been via gameplay demo and proof of concept work. That is what we have here to spread the hurt from Remedy moving on to do Quantum Break over Alan Wake 2 for their next huge title. The prior looks amazing and don't get me wrong, I still want it, but after seeing what the team was doing for Alan Wake 2 it is quite upsetting that we may have to be left waiting for a long time to see anything you are about to see hit our Xbox One or Xbox 360. GameStop has announced the pre-order bonuses for Halo 5: Guardians with a new trailer showing how the hunter can become the prey If you need more incentive to pre-order Halo 5: Guardians then it looks like GameStop has something to entice you even more. Not only is there the multiplayer beta access you should be getting later this year on your Xbox One but now fans of the franchise will be getting an exclusive Spartan Locke armor and helmet set as well as some Hunter-class armor for that aforementioned multiplayer beta. All the goodies to make 343 Industries game that much easier to play and beat. We wouldn't want anyone to have absolutely no advantages in Halo 5: Guardians now would we? Read More...

Quantum Break Is Officially Delayed Until 2016
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of April 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Microsoft Studios has officially announced that Quantum Break will be coming in 2016 now instead of the original release window It was rumored and "misunderstood" before that Quantum Break was on the delayed list for titles this year. Remedy Games made sure that we were all corrected at the time and led us to believe that Quantum Break was still going to be hitting the Xbox One sometime this year. Most likely late this year. Sadly though it looks like Microsoft Studios is reneging on those statements and has officially put Quantum Break on the 2016 bench now. Read More...

It's The Dawn Of The Rise Of The Fallen Machines In Sunset Overdrive
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 1st of April 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
The latest bit of DLC for Sunset Overdrive has been released and it is titled Dawn Of The Rise Of The Fallen Machines as you could expect With a game like Sunset Overdrive everything can be treated like an April Fool's joke as that is just kind of how the game is. It is the flare that Insomniac Games was going for and they achieved it. Thankfully we have some new DLC for Sunset Overdrive that is anything but an April Fool's day joke even though the title will make you question the validity of that claim. The title being Dawn Of The Rise Of The Fallen Machines. Read More...

ScreamRide Is Coming & We'll Be Able To Scare Riders Sooner
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of February 2015 - 06:00 PM ]
ScreamRide has a new launcher trailer and a bit of information on the Demo that is available today for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 ScreamRide had to be one of the more bizarre titles I saw at E3 during the Microsoft Conference. This would be the title from Frontier Developments where we will get to make some insane roller coaster or amusement rides all in the vein of generating screams. More or less a torture simulator when you split hairs only that the NPCs involved in the game don't seem to get injured and love being placed in life-threatening situations. Most people wouldn't find ScreamRide fun, I would think, if there were truly being injured. Read More...

This Is What The Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta Looks Like
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 31st of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
New screenshots for the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta on the Xbox One have been placed online for those who are not in the beta yet If you are part of the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta then none of what you are about to see is going to be all that exciting. In fact you may want to move on as you have seen all of the footage live and in play already; hopefully. For everyone else then we have a bunch of new screenshots from 343 Industries to show everyone who has yet to pre-order Halo 5: Guardians or turned on the beta what they may be missing out on. Although it seems odd to think that anyone who would have access to the Halo 5: Guardians would not have been balls deep in it just yet… To be honest it looks just as we all would have thought Halo 5: Guardians to have looked. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Sunset Overdrive's Mystery of the Mooil Rig DLC is out today and just in time for us all to fight some tentacle monsters on our Xbox One's for Christmas If you didn't already have a huge backlog of titles or any new games to play over the coming days then let Sunset Overdrive add a bit more DLC to itself to keep you entertained. In fact, it is some of the first Story DLC to be added from Insomniac Games and it can be downloaded to your Xbox One as you are reading this text. Of course that does mean you also have to have Sunset Overdrive for the system already but that should be a given. Read More...

Review: Sunset Overdrive
by Greg Tatterfield [ Thursday, 6th of November 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
We sit down and play Insomniac's new action third person shooter Sunset Overdrive. Is a trip to Sunset City worth it? Find out in my review. Story A new energy drink hits Sunset City and turns most of its residents into mutants, sending the city into the apocalypse. The company Fizzco who put out the energy drink then closes the city off to the rest of the world in hopes of covering up the incident. As a survivor you team up with others to escape the city and expose Fizzco. Hated There was not much to hate about Sunset Overdrive if you are into fast pace action and crazy moments. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 21st of October 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The November update for Xbox One will be bringing home screen and background customization as well as many other features It is no big surprise that the Xbox One is getting another update in November. From the look of things it looks like the Xbox One updates are happening monthly as opposed to the PS4 getting them whenever. In the upcoming software update though it looks like Microsoft is giving us something that Sony has yet to give a us a defined date on yet. It looks like the Xbox One is going to be getting background and theme-like support as well. Read More...
