There is no doubt that we all want to see more on Quantum Break. Remedy Entertainment's Xbox One title made a huge splash when it was announced and still keeps on impressing with each new little bit that is released for us to see. Now we have an extra eight minutes of gameplay to see as well as a few new bits on Quantum Break's mechanics and dangers in game. Even to the point where the game looks like a platformer more than any other genre of game.
If you already took a quick glance down at the following video I know what you are thinking. It says that the video is 16 minutes long and not 8. I know that but if you have been following all things Quantum Break you will notice that the first 8 minutes of the video is exactly what we were shown at Gamescom this year without any deviation. So if you've seen that already you can save a few extra minutes and skip ahead to where everything get interesting and there is some really new stuff for Quantum Break.
Quantum Break — Demo Walkthrough with Sam Lake
The first thing that looks like an amazing choice for both story and level design for Quantum Break has to be the repeating 'stutters' that create dangers in the game world. That is a really cool idea that seems to blend in well for Quantum Break from watching the gameplay above. Granted this is all being driven by a developer and not a general player so there is no way to truly tell how it feels when you play but it looks nice and smooth. I just hope it doesn't get to platformer-like in the end though as I know I want Quantum Break to be all action instead.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, for those who are not Halo fans or Xbox fans I think that Quantum Break will be a console seller. We are still a ways off from Quantum Break launching but by that time I think that the Xbox 360 will be winding down and all the hold outs will be looking to jump forward. Quantum Break looks like the best option for those to start off with and I have a feeling that is when I'll join the XB1 universe too.
