Final PSP?
by Binh Nguyen [ Friday, 15th of May 2009 - 10:12 AM ]
All those rumors about the PSP Go, all those rumors about a UMD-free PSP, and all those rumors about Sony announcing a new PSP at E3. Well it seems Sony is not finished with the current version of the PSP, as they are going to release a new bundle PSP with Dissidia: Final Fantasy. If you do not know by now, Dissidia: Final Fantasy is not another Final Fantasy RPG, but rather a Final Fantasy fighting game (no it is not another Ehrgeiz) and will include the main characters from all of the Final Fantasy titles in this game. Packaged in the bundle, you will get a “Mystic Silver” PSP-3000 system, Dissidia: Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children UMD, and a 2GB Memory Stick Duo. I know most of you will hate this part, but this bundle will only be a Gamestop exclusive. Read More...

Aggrocast Episode 27: We're Back
by Michael Camacho [ Tuesday, 12th of May 2009 - 11:08 AM ]
EPISODE 27: Michael, Brian and Binh are back with the brand new Aggrocast Hello faithful readers and listeners. As many may know, when we launched Aggrogamer.com, we brought the Pwned.com Podcast, Total Meltdown, over with us. We changed the name of it to the more suitable title of Aggrocast. We retain the same cast of Michael (G-Nitro), Brian (Quiglin), and Binh (Church). We also kept the same format but moved around a bit to settle in properly with the site, and we also made sure the same craziness, humor and entertainment is still there. With that, we hope you enjoy the new Aggrocast, as we really enjoyed being back on the podcast scene after a few weeks off. Read More...

Crime Will P4y
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 11th of May 2009 - 06:02 PM ]
Thief 4 Officially Announced This little tid bit of news comes in two fun flavors. One fore gamers and the other for those in the industry looking for a job. It was teased and rumored no more than a week ago that Eidos-Montréal was going to be bringing us all another round of sneaking around with the much anticipated Thief 4. So far as that many outlets were trying hard to find anything that would give this away before any kind of meeting at E3. One of such ways that things have been leaked has been though other game companies posting jobs on their boards only to specify a title or aspect of a title they originally didn't want to. Another Evil Blast From The Past
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of May 2009 - 05:39 AM ]
Resident Evil: Archives I said it a long while back that this year was going to be the year of Resident Evil. Not that it would dominate the market and be game of the year. But that there was going to be a cornucopia of Resident Evil titles out for consoles this year. Although it would seem that more of them will be on the Wii over the other consoles out there. Count is 1 to 1 to 2 now. XBox, PlayStation and Wii respectfully. Read More...

So yea, be prepared for the Capcom flood here with all kinds of crazy stuff for you to take in and enjoy. Here are loads of screens stopped and perfectly taken from the trailer/game play video for Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicle for you to digest. Fallout: New Vegas Unveiled in London
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of April 2009 - 03:55 PM ]
Looks like there's a new Fallout on the horizon, but this time it's taking place in good old Lady Luck Las Vegas. That's right at a press event in London, Bethesda Softworks said that Obsidian (known for KotORII, Neverwinter Nights 2 add-ons Storm of Zehir and Mask of the Betrayer) will be developing the new Fallout title. Seems that Chris Avellone will be the lead game designer on this project. You may know his works from KotOR II or Planescape : Torment. Read More...

How Do You Like Her New Uniform?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 20th of April 2009 - 11:03 PM ]
Villains in Batman Arkham Asylum What kind of Batman game would the new Arkham Asylum be if it only had the main baddy of the Joker and a slew of crazed "escaped" patients for Batman to wade through? Well a short type of game really. There are only so many regular patients for you to incapacitate before you got your hands around the killing jokester. Or just very repetitive. Which is why we can rest assured that this one will be a very interesting and fun game, as here are two more of the named baddies you will have to face off on. Read More...

French Please?
by Binh Nguyen [ Saturday, 4th of April 2009 - 10:43 AM ]
So how would you like to play a game that speaks only French? Imagine seeing “Qu’est-ce que tu fais ici, vous stupid idiot!” (What the hell are you doing here you stupid idiot, and you thought reading this you wouldn’t learn anything) Well in Quebec you can. You heard that right, according to the Toronto Star, as of April 1st (and no this is not April fool joke…) Quebec passed a law to prohibit sales of new English-only video in Quebec if a French version is available. Because of this law retailers and gamers will have to wait for new releases to come to Quebec due to developers having to spend extra time to make the games French only. “I’m afraid it’s going to cost me my business” said Ronnie Rondeau, co-owner of Game Buzz around Montreal, “If it really was going to make a difference, I’d be for it, but only a small number of people want to play in French. by Kevin [ Monday, 30th of March 2009 - 07:09 PM ]
R.U.S.E. Exclusive Trailer (via gamespot) I don’t care if they are trying to present what the game’s premise is. What I want.. is a tabletop game that actually plays LIKE THIS. In any event, it is an upcoming RTS video game developed by Eugen Systems and published by Ubisoft (scheduled to be released in 2009 for the 360, PS3, and PC.  It's a strategy game involving the players to use decoys to trick their enemies into traps. The release from the community site says, "R. Public Leaking At GDC 2009
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 30th of March 2009 - 05:09 PM ]
Videos Leaked From GDC 2009 While the Game Developers Conference that just took place in San Francisco just last week isn't the largest place for crazy game announcements and substantial news, at least it wasn't my impression, there are always a few little things that get shown off or spoken about while there. A lot of it is also "off the record" type stuff that gets shown and brought up. Or even simpler, a please do not record and show off anything you see in this conference or booth. Read More...

Go Utah??
by Binh Nguyen [ Thursday, 26th of March 2009 - 11:34 AM ]
Well it seems Utah is not as conservative after all. Utah Governor Jon Huntsman (r) has vetoes video games and movie retail restriction bill. To those who don’t know about it, it’s the bill (that was originally written by Jack Thompson and legislator Mike Morle) that would enforce strict penalties on retailers who sells M-Rated games and Rated R movies to “buyers subject to an age restriction or recommendation.”   Utah Governor Jon Huntsman (r) wrote a letter to House Speaker David Clark and Utah Senate President Michael Waddoups about why he vetoed the video game bill: (from Sainless: http://saintless.com/2009/03/25/gov-vetoed-hb-353/)“Dear Speaker Clark and President Waddoups: After careful consideration and study, I have decided to veto HB 353, TRUTH IN ADVERTISING ACT AMENDMENTS, and have transmitted it to the Lieutenant Governor for filing. Save the Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 23rd of March 2009 - 06:13 PM ]
VGXPO Tickets On Sale Now Who doesn't like to save a buck given the state of the economy right now? Am I right? It has been dwindling a lot of gamers resources to make it to huge gaming events or conventions just in general. CES wasn't as big as it usually is, and I'm sure that this will kind of be the case all conventions over. But that isn't what I am going to drawl on about here. No. Read More...

Once again, Japan’s Famitsu magazine has released a bombshell with news of a Ninja Gaiden 2 port coming to the PlayStation 3. Yosuke Hayashi, the producer and director of the first Ninja Gaiden Sigma will be reprising his role in what is said to be not just a direct port, but an upgraded version of the original. Among some of the new additions to the game are a new weapon as well as all new battles against giant bosses.
