Being Chicken In Metal Gear Solid V Can Be A Bonus In Disguise
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of December 2014 - 10:01 PM ]
Over the Christmas holiday it was announced that there will be a chicken hat addition to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to make the game easier for those having trouble If you are a huge fan of Metal Gear Solid and looking forward to Metal Gear Solid V then you were probably one of those people who sat around with Hideo Kojima on Christmas day while he opened presents, talked films, and then trolled everyone looking for a release date for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. To be fair, you all should have been having a good time with your families instead of watching someone who's culture doesn't celebrate the holiday do what he does best. That would be giving you just a little bit of something new so you don't loathe him but not really give you a thing you really want. Read More...

Not Everyone Will Be Summoning In Final Fantasy XV
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
New Final Fantasy XV screenshots and battle system details have emerged that explain that only Noctis will be able to use summons If reports are correct then the current state of the Final Fantasy XV will have it so only one of the party can call upon summons during battle. That character being Noctis and those reports coming out of an interview between Famitsu and game director Hajime Tabata. Of course this isn't too strange given the past of the Final Fantasy franchise as having only one character be able to summon isn't new. So there is not that when it comes to all things Final Fantasy XV when we look at the battle systems. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
We've collected some of the random virtual Christmas Cards and holiday well wishes from developers and publishers for you Ho ho homicide has to have been one of the best Christmas greetings I have yet to see from a video game studio or publisher this holiday season and I've seen quite a few over the last few days. Tis the season that all of those who make our favorite form of media to try and give back to all of those who keep their families fed. Or at least try to for those who are most likely going to cry and whine to their parents if they didn't get the latest Blizzard expansion or the pre-orders for all of those games coming out next year. Naughty Dog is celebrating their 30th anniversary and the developer and PlayStation have a nice video to help educate you on where they came from If you just thought to yourself "I don't need a history lesson for Naughty Dog" then you are most likely the largest fan of the developer or you're an employee of theirs. They have had a long 30 year run that has been pushed and promoted pretty much all year. Now we get it pushed again as we have a nice long history lesson that shows you a 50 minute recap of where Naughty Dog started and are going here in the coming years. Read More...

Karma Is A Bitch In The Latest Battlefield Hardline Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Battlefield Hardline has a new trailer and with that a whole slew of new gameplay to try and spin the game's core narrative into a positive light Looks like we have a new trailer for Battlefield Hardline from EA and Visceral Games to look at over the holiday week. Just like the story trailer we had earlier in the month it looks like this one also follows more of the narrative and to the un-savvy viewer it looks like it is trying to push more of the positive spin that the police force needs in these current times. Maybe it is just me but the words non-lethal and rescues seem to get placed more prominent than all of the violence that will be taking place in Battlefield Hardline when we get it. It's a good move in my opinion and I hope it does the job to distance the game from the real world events people are connecting them all to. Read More...

Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Zombies Trades Spacey For Other Names
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Activision teases Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Exo Zombies more but gives a bit of insight as to what is going on in the latest trailer One of the big draws for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare was Kevin Spacey and how amazing the performance he gave ended up being. The gameplay was just about as amazing as the performance for those who really care about the gameplay over how many huge celebrities that can be crammed into the narrative. For those of you who care about the actors and zombies then do we have a great tease from Activision and Sledgehammer again for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Exo Zombies. We have four times the names and another short glimpse at that gameplay stuff…for those that care about that again. Read More...

Grand Theft Auto V Online Is Getting Festive Without Heists
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
Grand Theft Auto V Online still has no Heists but you will be able to have epic snowball fights while wearing ugly sweaters While we are still waiting for our Heists in Grand Theft Auto V Online it looks like Rockstar is at least giving us a few new things to bring us back into the game over the holidays. Today the developer announced that they are rolling out some fun updates for Grand Theft Auto V Online with a bunch of Festive Surprises. We can hope it will be a sneaking way to add in the mode we've been waiting forever to get into the online experience but as of right now it is nowhere listed among the additions and timed exclusives we will be seeing over the holidays in Grand Theft Auto V Online. At least to me directly. Now we have the first real trailer for the game as well as all the ins and outs on how it is being released on January 30th 2015 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. The Day/Night Cycle Of Dying Light Is Intense
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 16th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Dying Light shows off the vast differences between playing the game during the day and night For Dying Light there have been two huge things mentioned as selling points time and time again. This first being the Free Running that Techland has looked to perfect in the game and the second being that of how viscous the Day/Night cycle will make the game. You know, the whole zombies getting crazier, stronger, faster, and smarter once the sun goes down in Harran. Just in case Techland and Warner Bros. Read More...

A new trailer for Grand Theft Auto V Online confirms that Heists are still on the way for the online experience If you were looking to be able to play Heists online for Grand Theft Auto V you may need to wait just a bit longer. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 16th of December 2014 - 06:00 PM ]
An English dubbed version of the Final Fantasy XV trailer from the TGS 2014 has been released for those non-Japanese speaking fans It only took about three months but there is finally an English version of the Final Fantasy XV trailer. Well more an English dubbed trailer so all of you Anime snobs can get ready to piss and moan. None the less Square Enix has given all of the fans of the franchise who don't speak Japanese a look at the trailer to put a few things into context for Final Fantasy XV. I'm glad I'm no snob and prefer my dubs as now I have words to place alongside the amazing looking title still in the works for the PS4 and Xbox One. Read More...

Story Time: Battlefield Hardline
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 12th of December 2014 - 10:00 PM ]
The official story trailer for Battlefield Hardline's single player mode has been released and it is pretty much Cops without editing If there has been one game that has had a rough go with its marketing as of late it is Battlefield Hardline. Not that the PR teams over at EA and Visceral Games are not doing a good jobs. All of the real world events that are going on well after Battlefield Hardline was designed and even into a beta experience are making it harder and harder to be "sensitive" to everything and everyone. I applaud the whole team for rolling with the punches as well as they can in a world where virtual cops and robbers is no longer a P. Read More...
