Before you get too excited Hitman: Agent 47 is not the title for the new Hitman title being made by Square Enix and Io Interactive. We still have some time to wait for that trailer. Hitman: Agent 47 is the new film for the franchise that is more of a re-boot to the cinematic universe for the Hitman franchise. You may or may not have heard of the film before now but if this is your first time hearing about it then you are in for a treat as the first trailer for the film has been released and we have it just a little bit further down the page.

I won't hold you Hitman fans back any longer. Here is the first trailer for Hitman: Agent 47. Have a look and we'll continue the discussion just afterwards.

I am not sold on the look of the actor playing Agent 47 here but I will admit that the film looks much better than the 2007 film for the franchise. It even looks to be staying closer to the overall Hitman mythology that was the larger gripe I remember hearing fans complaining about with the first film. As long as the script doesn't end up sucking (A Good Day To Die Hard, Swordfish, The A-Team in portfolio) and the actors can do the job (no doubts there) then Hitman: Agent 47 could bring Hitman just what they want. I'm only a little nervous about the use of CGI for things they could have done with practical effects but that could be just splitting hairs.
