Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week You have to love weeks like this one with all of the various news and updates coming out for our video games. I mean, it is gamescom week and that was to be expected a bit but with announcements like Marvel’s Midnight Suns and Saints Row dropping on us, it was a bit of a doozy. Those were only a few of them too, as we had a whole lot of new footage for Black Myth: Wukong and actual gameplay for The Outlast Trials. That and the news and updates for more video games just keep on flowing out there as I am typing these words. Read More...

Black Myth: Wukong Smashes Us With A Whole Lot Of New Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 24th of August 2021 - 09:00 PM ]
Black Myth New gameplay for Black Myth: Wukong is out there with it highlighting how Black Myth will be using the Unreal 5 Engine We might have to wait a while between each new bit of gameplay for Black Myth: Wukong, but each time, it is overly impressive. That just happens to be what we have here once again with Game Science giving us a look at the game once more and in the view of the Unreal 5 Engine and the capabilities it is offering up for developers. That has been something impressive from the jump with all of the tech demos before now, and it looks like Black Myth will be showing us all just a bit more. Well, a whole lot more with the over twelve minutes of footage we have that all comes from the gameplay or in-engine visuals that we can expect when it comes to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2023. Fracked The launch of Fracked is upon us and we have another quick look at Fracked just before donning our VR headsets Our PSVR headsets are about to get a little more explosive with the release and launch for Fracked this week. Hells, it could already be the case for those that pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of the game and took nDreams up on the ability to play the game three days in advance. That was a thing and is still possible with the full release of Fracked hitting on August 20th. That would make that advanced play ability happen for you right now if you wanted to throw down the cash for it all. Read More...

Evil Dead: The Game Is Taking A Little Longer To Summon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of August 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Evil Dead A slight delay for Evil Dead: The Game is here with this addition to the Evil Dead IP hitting in 2022 now I know I was hoping this was not going to happen, but it looks like we are going to have to wait a bit longer for Evil Dead: The Game to grace all of our systems out there now. It has been hit with a bit of a delay. This is something that is a little odd given that Saber Interactive only stated that we would be seeing the game in 2021 and now we have the update that Evil Dead: The Game will be dropping in February of 2022. That is oddly a bit more of a specific timeline than we had before this delay. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 3rd of August 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
No More Heroes The alien superheroes for No More Heroes 3 is out there as we gear up for the next No More Heroes release soon Things are getting weird for No More Heroes 3 with the introduction of the full roster of the aliens we will be slicing through in the game. Not that things are not weird in the game since the first time Grasshopper Manufacture brought the IP to us so long ago. With the launch of No More Heroes 3 on August 27th for the Switch, though, it is nice to get a look at all of the enemy bosses we will have to take on in the game to climb the ranks of the organizations one more time. Fans of the IP will know where this is all going but new gamers will just have to dive in and hold on for all of the weird once more. Read More...

Fatal Frame: Maiden Of The Black Water Will Be Snapping Us Back In October
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of July 2021 - 07:00 PM ]
Fatal Frame The release date for Fatal Frame: Maiden In Black Water is set down in October now and we can gear up to take on the spirits in Fatal Frame once more It looks as if our assumptions paid off and now we know we will be seeing Fatal Frame: Maiden Of The Black Water launching again on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch, and PC in October. To be specific, October 28th will be when we can expect to see this one out there and aim to take more pictures of the restless dead with our super camera. That is a way over-simplification for the idea of the gameplay for Fatal Frame but does cover the basics for those completely new to the IP and looking to have a good horror game for the Halloween season. The State Heist Is On For Us With Hood: Outlaws & Legends
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of July 2021 - 05:00 PM ]
Hood A new mode is coming for Hood: Outlaws & Legends that will have us teaming up again with Hood and pals out there Get the band back together for Hood: Outlaws & Legends, as we have a whole new game mode to go in on for the team to work together on. That is more on the literal sense of things with Sumo Digital giving us a new mode that will have us only playing on the Co-Op side of it all. I know I have been looking forward to something like this since Hood first hit the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC so I did not have to compete with so many others out there. This new mode, called State Heist, makes it feel like the way I always imagined the game being since it was first announced. Read More...
