So I'm Guessing This Is The PSP 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 24th of January 2011 - 11:53 PM ]
Earlier today (1/24/2011) one of the outlets that give out a lot of PlaySation news slipped out an image of what could easily be the PSP 2 through a yfrog account. It has since been pulled down with the image being replaced with a nice "Removed Due To Violation of ToS" image so no one can see it any more. Well you lucked out that I was on the case and was able to snag not only the image but a screen shot of the page which you can see below. Now it is rumored that there will be an announcement for this later in the week, I'd say that this all but confirms it is on the plate for announcement. Read More...

Please No Dress Spheres In Final Fantasy XIII-2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of January 2011 - 07:44 PM ]
Well here is an interesting twist to the whole Final Fantasy XIII ten year plan. Just announced is the oddly named Final Fantasy XIII-2, a continuation to the story of FFXIII. I say it is odd because Square Enix tried this before with FFX-2 which didn't do as well as any of their wholly new story lined titles with Final Fantasy in the title. Yes I know I used the title way too many times there. Sue me. Read More...

PS3 Player Can Portal Into PCs For Free
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 20th of January 2011 - 05:46 PM ]
Well here's an interesting little tidbit of news. Any gamer that purchases Portal 2 on the PlayStation 3 will get FREE access to play the game from their Steam client. Think like a digital copy that comes with most BluRay films nowadays. Oh, but wait, there is more. Not only do you get a "free" copy of the game for PC, and technically Mac, but the two systems will be able to communicate with each other to allow for co-op play between the PS3 and PC/Mac. By communicate I am not only talking for play, but you will be able to actually chat with the other player and I'm not talking by screaming really loud. In game chat for those who still didn't get it. Read More...

Hello And Goodbye To The World Of Starcraft?
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 19th of January 2011 - 10:11 PM ]
Probably the coolest thing I saw this week was a video presentation for World of Starcraft! This whole video is done in the Starcraft 2 map editor and although it's in pre-pre-alpha it is something to watch. Check out the video after the jump! Now to answer your big question. No this is not Blizzard's official next gen MMO. Nor is it a secret leak for Titan. It's just modders doing what they do best. Read More...

All for no reason as well since the game appeals to a lot more than just you average gamer. Let me break it all down for you in LittleBigPlanet's coined terms for the game. Read More...

We Got To See A Hydra Use A Portal At CES
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 14th of January 2011 - 11:24 PM ]
At last year's CES we were introduced to a product called Sixense. It was a motion controller being made by one of the smaller companies Razor had under its wing. Sixense was a really cool device with A LOT of potential, but nothing seems to have happened over the last year. Well at least nothing all too public. While wandering the booths of CES the AggroGamer team happened upon the new design and updated controller in the wild. Something we almost missed out on as it has been give then new name of Hydra and an extremely different design. Read More...

A Date With Capcom At CES
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of January 2011 - 05:20 PM ]
CES is generally not known for the game developers rocking out their new products and IPs. That is what E3 is for and we all know that. Capcom likes to break the mold and show up in force every year just to spread a bit more of the word on all of their upcoming titles. In this case, the titles were Marvel vs. Capcom 3, MotoGP 10/11, Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 and Okamiden - all of which I was able to put hands on. Let the impressions begin! Read More...

Review: DJ Hero 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of November 2010 - 07:50 PM ]
Here we go with another rhythm game coming into the mix of things. Pun totally intended. The game this time is DJ Hero 2. The follow up and expansion on from last year's DJ Hero that let gamers hop into the world of "professional" DJing. Like every other title in the rhythm genre there are some new additions outside of the core track list. Some good, some not so good and some just kind of "What The F**k?" Let me break it all down for you and let you know if you should actually pick up a copy of DJ Hero 2. Read More...

Play Ring Around The Necromorph In Dead Space 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of November 2010 - 10:04 PM ]
While I doubt this will be a game play mode for the upcoming Dead Space 2 multiplayer, that doesn't make the below trailer for the game any less creepy and awesome. Just about on par with the awesome "Twinkle Little Star" trailer from the first Dead Space. Which I will add, there is nothing creepier than having a three year old look at you and start singing that version at you in a cold, dark game room. Check it out. Pretty damn awesome huh? New BioShock Infinite Screens Will Pluck You Eyes Out
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 21st of October 2010 - 08:42 PM ]
Why do I have a feeling that these crows are going to play a HUGE part of BioShock Infinite? I mean we all know it looks like there will be a Plasmid based around using a murder of crows, but is there going to be more than that? There also seems to be a lack of any other bird type in any of the visuals we have been shown thus far - unless you count angels, in the form of statues, as birds. I don't. If you haven't looked down by now, then I am telling you to seize the opportunity. Read More...

Valve Announces DotA 2
by Corey Dockendorf [ Thursday, 14th of October 2010 - 06:37 PM ]
Valve announced today that its latest title to be released in 2011 is DotA 2. Players have been waiting a while for this announcement considering Valve went on a Trademark spree and filed for the DotA and Defense of the Ancients name back in August of this year. According to the short and sweet press release: "Coming to the PC&Mac in 2011, DotA 2 promises to take the unique blend of online RTS and RPG action that has made DotA popular with tens of millions of gamers and expand upon it in every way." For those that don't know the name DotA comes from the Warcraft III mod Defense of the Ancients. Defense of the Ancients at its core is a small tactical, hero based strategy game which completely revamped the Warcraft III game and design by bringing a real RPG aspect to an RTS world.
