My Favorite Games Of Last Gen [Part 1]
by Kenton Winkfield [ Tuesday, 28th of January 2014 - 04:20 PM ]
A short list of some of my favorite games of last gen consoles. With the hype of the next gen consoles finally dying down, I decided to take a look back at some of my favorite games from last generation and reminisce about what drew me to those games. Or, I could just sit down and play them again and relive the gloriousness. That sounds like a great idea actually. I think I'll do that after I'm finished here. Read More...

Very little has been known about Basement Crawl, but now it looks like we finally have a release date and a bit of gameplay to look at. If you have been tracking Basement Crawl up until now, you'd know it to be a creepy looking version of Bomberman. At least of sorts. We've had the announcement trailer and a few screens with descriptions, but no real gameplay to show off. Well wait no longer as we have a nice little bit of gameplay to show off below. Let's watch. Here Are Some More Interstellar Destiny Screen Shots For Your Eyes
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 27th of January 2014 - 07:19 PM ]
We have eight more eye popping screen shots for Destiny from Bungie and Activision. Did J.J. Abrams take over the game's visual direction? Sure looks that way. I will still admit that I am not completely sold on Destiny yet as many of the developer's fans already are. That said, I cannot deny that it is looking absolutely amazing and my jaw is dropped with almost every new shot. Not as far as The Division just yet but it is getting there with each new batch of visuals or gameplay video. That isn't what sells a game for me though even though it is nice to look at. Looks Like We Are Getting Kraven's Help In The Amazing Spider Man 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of January 2014 - 07:20 PM ]
The official announcement trailer for The Amazing Spider Man 2 has been released to the public and it looks like it will be turning a Spider Man villain into an ally. Or is this a ruse? We had a tease for The Amazing Spider Man 2 a little while back and the time has come where we get the full trailer for the game. Yes it is another film tie-in game but the previous game was actually quite decent given the usual lackluster experience these kinds of games usually provide. Hopefully we can expect the same with The Amazing Spider Man 2. Read More...

Ah…The Photo-Realism Of The Division Brings A Tear To The Eye
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 23rd of January 2014 - 06:49 PM ]
A few more stunning screen shots from The Division that are hard to believe are in-game and not pre-rendered. This is what 'next gen' should really look like. I mentioned this before and I'll probably keep saying it, but how did I let The Division slip past my radar for so long? Every time there is something new to show of the game I am blown away with the aesthetics of the game and what the Snowdrop engine can do. If anything, the below screen shots should help drive that home a bit more. Mind you all but one is compiled of 100% in-game visuals and nothing pre-rendered. Read More...

Check out the new trailer for The Last Of Us Left Behind DLC. It is rife with hints as to what is going on in this story DLC. So last we heard about The Last Of Us DLC was just that it was coming and a short glimpse of what to expect in the Left Behind story add-on. Don't worry yourself with trying to look up any of that information because if you still haven't heard the DLC will be out on February 14th and as for the trailer, you can just watch the first little bit of the following video. The real bonus here is that there is quite a bit more to what was shown before. Over twice the amount as well as a few clues as to why Ellie and Riley go on their misadventures. Read More...

The Tomb Raider Definitive Edition was announced and claimed to be bringing us the next gen Lara Croft on the PS4 and Xbox One. Let's take a look at if they have kept their word. The Tomb Raider Definitive Edition is only about a week away from hitting our "next gen" consoles and giving us not only another title to play on them but a look at what Crystal Dynamics is claiming to be the definitive version of the game. At least to date. There have already been a few comparison videos and images spread out in the ether of the internet but are you not truly interested in what went into making this 'definitive' look? by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 18th of January 2014 - 06:37 PM ]
Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow 2 is on the horizon of launch and it is time to see all the locations and transformations we'll have to go to and use to defeat Satan We are on the cusp of the release of Castlevania Lords Of Shadow 2 so it is high time to see what we gamers are going to have to turn into to help destroy the forces of Satan. I'm of course not talking about turning yourself into an ultra-nerd gaming machine that does nothing but grid boars to level up. I am talking about the new dragon form that can be assumed by Gabriel or Dracula, if you want. Read More...

Alien Isolation Is Proof The Franchise Will Never Die
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of January 2014 - 07:24 PM ]
Alien Isolation has been announced from Sega and Creative Assembly games but will it be the Aliens game we hoped we were getting before? During the hullabaloo of CES it looks like Sega announced a new Aliens title, Alien Isolation. Yea, after the huge fiasco that was Aliens: Colonial Marines, it looks like Sega and 20th Century just doesn't want to let the franchise fall aside and let the fans still love what they already loved. One bonus that Alien Isolation does look to have is that it is being handled by a new studio, so there is that. Why don't we take a look at the announcement trailer and see what is going on here. Basement Crawl Is Shaping Up To Be The Creepiest 'Bomberman'
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 13th of January 2014 - 11:52 PM ]
Basement Crawl, the new title coming to the PS4 is on the edge of release…so let's have some new screenshots. Back during Halloween I brought you a look at Basement Crawl. I also had a bit of fun speculating on what the game was all about outside of being a creepy looking PS4 title. If you're eyes haven't already betrayed me an ventured below to look at the new screenshots, then let me inform you that we have five new shots that help show off how Basement Crawl is like a creepy version of Bomberman in sorts. Not only that, but it kind of looks like my fun speculation is a little on par. At least as it goes with the trying to kill each other in a creepy basement. Read More...

A Few Updates On PlayStation Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of January 2014 - 05:31 PM ]
PlayStation Now was announced and we got some of the news but after getting to talk to some of the people behind the service we have a few updates. Earlier I wrote about my experiences with Sony's new PlayStation Now service that will be coming to market in the next half a year or so. I had a few reservations as well as a few other questions crop up during my writing. Being semi-responsible I decided to go and get some better clarifications and answers to expand on my experience. Here is what I learned directly from the horse's mouth at CES. Read More...

CES 2014 Hands On: PlayStation Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 9th of January 2014 - 05:32 PM ]
Sony unveiled PlayStation Now at this year's CES and had a little taste of it on the show floor. Here's what I discovered while giving it a whirl. In case you have missed the announcement, Sony has announced PlayStation Now as a new video game streaming service coming to the PS4, PS3, PS Vita, and Bravia TVs in the near future. Think of it along the lines of OnLive or the PC game streaming feature from GameFly but aimed at PlayStation games and at Sony products solely. That is the general gist of things but here's a bit more of a break down for you. Read More...
