Driveclub Was Delayed Again But Now We Have A Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Driveclub has been pushed back once again but now there is a solid date of October 7th. Yes, that means that Driveclub won't be coming to the PS4 here in early 2014 as stated before. Apparently the game just will not be ready until about the first anniversary of the next gen console's launch. Now the date is October 7th if you sit through and watch the gorgeous trailer that was released showing the new date in all of its kind of glory. Good news for all of you race fans or those who want to see how pretty a racing game can be on next gen. The following trailer does look nice and I had no doubt that Driveclub would but outside of being free for PS+ I don't think I'll be playing it more than a few times. Read More...

Wolfenstein: The New Order Allows For Both Mayhem And Stealth
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
There is a new trailer for Wolfenstein: The New Order that shows off the different play styles available in the game. When I hear Wolfenstein I don't always think of stealth and I think more of the madness of shooting up Nazis. With the latest trailer for Wolfenstein: The New Order it looks like we are going to be getting that little extra style as a full option. I know that "stealth" is always an option as you can always snipe and set up kills to make it easier but that is just strategy and not a full selling point in general. The point here is stealth for Wolfenstein: The New Order though. Read More...

Enter The Devil's Lair With The New Destiny Gameplay Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
There is a new gameplay trailer for Destiny that shows a strike against the Fallen in the Devil's Lair. Here we go with some new Destiny footage straight off the PS4. In this case we get to follow three characters of different classes as they attempt to make a strike at the Devil's Lair. From the looks of the area it looks to be more inhabited by the Fallen and fewer demons or devils but Destiny is a sci-fi title and not a religious or fantasy title. Not that that should make much of a difference but I felt it worth noting for some reason. Moving on… All of that aside we do get to see one of the mission types and areas of Destiny in a close up situation. Read More...

Carnage Is Confirmed For The Amazing Spider-Man 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
An exclusive trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 shows off one of the best villains in the Spider-Man universe; Carnage. Earlier this month we got a trailer showcasing the villains that will be in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. During said trailer there was a possible glimpse of Carnage which was something of great speculation. It all made sense based on the short scene and how this game is supposed to stay semi-close to the cinematic universe that has been re-cultivated. As the 'exclusive' trailer from MTV for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 shows, it can be confirmed for the game now. Read More...

Avalanche Studios Has Their Magnum Opus In Mad Max
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new game trailer for Mad Max has been released showing off the amazing vehicle of the game; the Magnum Opus. One could have had a baby in the time it has been since we last got a video look at Mad Max from Avalanche Studios and Warner Bros. That isn't too much of an exaggeration either. In fact it had been so long that recently I began to question if Mad Max was still being worked on or if it had been canned quietly so as not to have everyone asking 'Why?'. It looked amazing when I first saw it at E3 2013 and it looked like the dev team was well on the way to having a finished product soon. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Activision has announced Skylanders Trap Team which will allow you to collect the various villains as well as heroes. If there is one franchise that I know is a cash cow it is the Skylanders franchise from Activision and Toys For Bob. That cash cow is going to get a whole lot larger with the addition of Skylanders Trap Team this October 5th as we will get a slew of new heroes and a way to collect and play various villains. Yep, we are going to be able to start collecting the villains, including Kaos, but there is a catch. Pardon the pun. Read More...

Check Out The New Evolve Trailer That Lets You Choose Your Vantage Point
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer/gameplay video for Evolve has been released and it lets you choose the character you watch in the match. That latest trailer for Evolve is completely the way that multiplayer titles should do it. As you have most likely not jumped to the following trailer yet, let me explain. Turtle Rock and 2K have put together a nice nine minute game session for Evolve showing off some of the game's mechanics as well as abilities employed by each of the five different playable characters. The best part is you can hop between each of them to see what they see while running around trying to kill the Goliath or trying to survive and kill the players. As of writing this I have yet to see the match through each character's eyes but I have watched the commentated version of the Evolve match and I can be colored impressed for this multiplayer titles. For all of you out there pining for some more news or updates on Destiny from Bungie and Activision, it looks like we are getting just that. In this instance it is in the form of three of the character classes that will be in the game when it finally launches. Not that there hasn't been a load of gameplay video for Destiny but here is a bit more geared toward those aforementioned classes. Read More...

Watch_Dogs Shows Us The Life Of A Hacker…With Giant Robot Spiders
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 23rd of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new developer interview has popped up on the internet showing Watch_Dogs on the PS4 as well as the life of a hacker. Man, Watch_Dogs really want to keep that moniker and title flowing after that amazing '95 film of the same name. I personally think cyber-terrorist or cyber-vigilante would fit better but it looks like we are getting a look at the 'future' of hacking yet again. On the plus side there is a whole slew of new gameplay on the PS4 version of Watch_Dogs so we can see how it will handle on the next-gen consoles before May 27th. That is a bit of a plus as things have not been so clear in earlier trailers. Read More...

Dragon Age: Inquisition Gets A Release Date And New Gameplay Footage
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
BioWare's upcoming Dragon Age: Inquisition is slated for October 7th and has a new gameplay trailer. The time has come and now we have a release date for Dragon Age: Inquisition to look forward to. That date is now October 7th on the main current gen and next gen consoles as well as PC for any of those who play games on their major tech devices. I don't know who would ever play Dragon Age: Inquisition on their PC instead of using it for curing cancer am I right? No one would ever do that… Not only do we get the release date for Dragon Age: Inquisition here but a good chunk of gameplay to pine over with a mix of story included too. Read More...

Why I Am Not Excited About Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Tuesday, 22nd of April 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Am I the only one who is disappointed by the new Borderlands game announcement? I have been a fan of Borderlands since its release day. I have played both games on all three platforms. Each time the game looks the best to me on the PC. Contrary to the evidence, I am not a PC elitist. The game just seems to pop a little better when ran at max settings on a PC. That is why when I heard that we were getting a new Borderlands game I was a happy camper. Then I read that it was going to be built on the same engine as Borderlands 2. Read More...

Rumor Mill: Resident Evil 7 May Be Announced At E3 2014
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of April 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
An article on a prominent Japanese economic newspaper suggests that we should see a Resident Evil 7 announcement at E3. Yet another item I want to mark under extremely hopeful; Resident Evil 7 could be officially announced as soon as this June. You can read that as "At E3 2014" if the current rumors end up being true and not just economical speculation. It would seem that a Japanese newspaper has made just that speculation for us to sit and pine over. This is all based on the mention of a next-gen console and the popularity of the Resident Evil franchise. Read More...

We Are Getting A Watch_Dogs 'Sequel' Already…In eBook Form
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of April 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Ubisoft has announced an eBook sequel story to the events of Watch_Dogs slated to come out around the game's launch. Watch_Dogs is still about a month out from launch and there is already a talk about a sequel to the game's story. This isn't another quick turnaround for another game in the new franchise but an eBook titled Watch_Dogs //n/Dark Clouds. Kind of an interesting way to go about it there but it does fit into Ubisoft's want for all IPs to be able to have a franchise built around it. From what has been stated so far don't expect it to be just a continuation of the story in Watch_Dogs the game but a whole new story in the same universe written by John Shirley. Read More...
