The Dead Rise Again At SDCC With The Walking Dead Escape
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of July 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Escape is back at SDCC 2015 giving all of us a feel for what a Survival Horror game really feels like in the world of The Walking Dead Looks like the SDCC tradition just keeps going as The Walking Dead Escape is making its return again to SDCC 2015. This would be the live action, survival horror experience set in the world of The Walking Dead that graced Petco Park back in 2012 and has been going strong ever since. The only difference this year is it would seem that this video game-like experience is being brought to life even more not with just the TV show but also it sounds like the other media platforms and versions are making a show during The Walking Dead Escape. Notably one of the best characters from the franchise; Negan. Read More...

The Assassin's Creed Experience Is Returning For SDCC 2015
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 1st of July 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
Just in case you couldn't prove your Assassin's Creed merit at last year's SDCC Assassin's Creed Experience, the event is returning and coming with a new Victorian London vibe If there is one great way to promote an Assassin's Creed title it was definitely the Assassin's Creed Experience at SDCC last year. Sadly though if you were not able to attend San Diego Comic Con or you didn't want to stand in the long line for a short experience that was the only way to experience it. If you want another chance though it looks like the Assassin's Creed Experience is returning again and this time it has the Assassin's Creed Syndicate makeover added into the mix with this time ending in a Leap Of Faith out of the Tower Of London. This Week In Gaming 7/28/14 — 8/1/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of August 2014 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming You would think that in the wake of SDCC we would be occupied with more on the gaming recaps than we would the fresh news coming out afterwards. That was not the case in this week and as usual we did our best to bring you everything we could in the world of gaming so you can have an unbiased perspective on things. Ok, well as unbiased as anyone truly can be who doesn't get paid by companies to talk up and excite the internet just to spark the burning in your wallets. None the less though we were also able to recap some of the great gaming experiences from last week here for you. Read More...

SDCC Experience: Assassin's Creed Experience
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of August 2014 - 09:01 PM ]
I was able to unleash my inner assassin during Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Experience at SDCC 2014 We spoke about the Assassin's Creed Experience a few times before it was unleashed at SDCC last week. This would be the huge parkour course that they set up outside of Comic Con to allow fans of the franchise to see if they could handle the same stuff that Arno may need to do in Assassin's Creed Unity. It was gimmicky but it was also a blast to be able to run through. This isn't the first time that Ubisoft has brought something Assassin's Creed themed to Comic Con but it definitely was the most interactive. Read More...

by Julia Schoebel [ Thursday, 31st of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
We wondered what it would be like to enter into the Borderlands and Nerdist gave us that chance with Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Las Tag at SDCC San Diego Comic Con was not only filled with gaming/geek news this year but it was also filled with loads of amazing experiences to promote and excite fans all around. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel was not going to be left out of this as the event out there in San Diego was the perfect place to show off how awesome the game can be. Even more so when 2K Games teams up with the Nerdist crew to bring us all a way to play a live Borderlands game via laser tag and some amazing set pieces that looked like they were lifted from the game. SDCC Experience: The Walking Dead Escape
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Escape was back at SDCC giving all of us a feel for what a Survival Horror game really feels like For the third year running (pun intended) I was able to experience The Walking Dead Escape at SDCC. I broke down what it was all about before but I'll give the quick version just in case you are lazy. In a nut shell it is a real world survival horror event that tests if you could escape from one end of a location, Petco Park in this case, to the other without being swarmed by the undead horde. The Walking Dead Escape of course using portions of the AMC show, comic books, and video games to theme everything. Read More...

SDCC 2014 Impressions: Escape Dead Island
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 30th of July 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
While At SDCC I Got To See Escape Dead Island In A More Intimate Setting Than Just The Trailer. Here's My Take On It It seems like I should have had to wait a bit longer to get a look at Escape Dead Island as it was only announced a month ago but I'll take it none the less. Especially since Escape Dead Island seems to be taking the amazing universe and changing a lot of the mechanics that we are used to and changing them or removing them to fit this new take on Dead Island. Without any further gilding the lily here, let's dig right in. For those not familiar with Escape Dead Island it is sort of an in-between-quel from Dead Island: Riptide and Dead Island 2; although all you really need to know are the basics of the universe's story to be able to hop on in. Here Is The Extended Tekken 7 Trailer Straight Out Of SDCC
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
The extended trailer for Tekken 7 was shown at SDCC this year and we have it here for you to see Well I guess Namco kept their promise of showing more of Tekken 7 at SDCC this year. Although I am pretty sure this was not what fans of the franchise were looking forward to when said promise was made. In fact, if I was as rabid of a fan for Tekken as I am for other franchises I would be a little put out and upset with such a tease. That is all because nothing more than a very small bit of Tekken 7's story has been released surrounded by the same visuals we already had. Read More...

This Week In Gaming 7/21/14 — 7/25/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of July 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming Well this has been one crazy week in the gaming world. I blame it mostly on SDCC and all of the craziness that brings with it. It is way more than just comics and their other forms of media outlets. We've been trying to keep up with everything we can while covering all of the stuff on the show floor directly but it can get insanely overwhelming. But I am not here to complain about all of that. I am here to bring you all that gaming news I know you are craving to sink your eye balls into. Read More...

Care To See What Halo: Nightfall's Agent Jameson Locke Looks Like?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of July 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
New images and details about Halo: Nightfall have emerged from SDCC showing off the actor charged with portraying him I know all of you Halo fans out there are probably losing your shit right now as the announcement of the closure of Xbox Entertainment Studios could have rocked the boat for Halo: Nightfall. Well the good news is that at least this project doesn't look to be affected by the closure announcement. That is basically because we now have a good look at one of the main characters that will be in the show as well as Halo 5: Guardians. Read More...
