It Was Late For An Important Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 20th of February 2009 - 04:24 PM ]
EA and Spicy Horse Return to Wonderland for All-New Alice Title Yes, you read that title right, if you read it that is. EA and Spicy Horse are working on a new Alice game to follow up the awesomeness of the 2000 game of the same title. Alice for those that got confused with the round about talk there. Little else has been brought up about this title other than just the announcement and how excited American McGee is to be working on a follow up to the twisted view of Alice in Wonderland. Well outside of the announcement that it will be produced for PCs, PS3s, and XBoxes instead of just PCs like the first go around. Read More…

Street Fighter IV PS3 Review
by Jesse [ Thursday, 19th of February 2009 - 08:47 PM ]
When I first saw the early gameplay footage of Street Fighter IV I was ready to start flipping in the air and do moonsault kicks in celebration, but then I remembered I couldn’t. I’m probably not the only one in saying that The World Warrior is my favorite installment of the Street Fighter franchise and seeing Street Fighter IV in action made me so excited because in many ways, it was like seeing a modern version of one of the greatest classic fighting games of all time. Still the question stood, could Capcom create a sequel that kept everything that makes a good Street Fighter game while still adding enough to the mix that would attract new fans? Thankfully they did almost exactly that in giving us a great new chapter in the Street Fighter saga. Read More…

In The Interest Of Not Being Eaten
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 19th of February 2009 - 06:53 PM ]
Resident Evil Retrospect: Episode 3 It's that time again, to lead up to the release of Resident Evil 5 with more story and world background. Just to add to the first two that have come out. But on top of that, Capcom has also graced us with some extra images from the game show casing some of the villains and enemies. Some of which look really cool. Like say the "zombie" who's head is split open or the giant. Read More…

Nintendo DSi to Launch on April 5th
by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 19th of February 2009 - 05:05 AM ]
Announced today by Nintendo, the third iteration of the DS will hit store shelves in less than two months.  A lot of excitement has been building around the DSi for it's ability to download and store software from the DSi Store, which will be similar to the Wii Shop Channel.  The DSi will also feature dual cameras (one pointed towards you, the other pointed out) and an SD card slot.  It will be slimmer than the DS Lite since they removed the Game Boy Advance slot.  It will come at launch in Blue and Black and sport a nice $169. by Brian Bentley [ Thursday, 19th of February 2009 - 02:15 AM ]
A little late is better than never.  The next batch of Wii DLC hit this past Monday with one Wii Ware title and one Virtual Console title.  There is a surprise wrapped up in the update this week if you're crafty enough to piece together the clues.  A good luck to all our super sleuths and to those who continue to have patience waiting for Earthbound to drop... Outer space meets inner space at the Wii Shop Channel this Presidents Day. A new WiiWare title will have you soaring across the astral plane, while a vintage NES shooter for the Virtual Console invites you to battle your way through the innards of an alien creature. Extracting More Story From Dead Space
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 18th of February 2009 - 04:35 PM ]
EA Announces Dead Space Extraction Exclusive for the Wii Not to long ago it was brought up that there was going to be a Wii port of Dead Space. Well this was only partial true and based off of reports from an interview. But today came the full on announcement about the Wii version of the game, or should I say the Wii prequel to the game. Yes, it'll be kind of like Resident Evil 0 on the GameCube for the game that came on so strong for the PS3, XBox, and PC. Dead Space: Extraction will be the story leading up to the opening of Dead Space. Read More…

Team Fortress 2 Scout Update Coming Next Week
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 18th of February 2009 - 03:06 PM ]
Yesterday, Valve began the unveiling process on their new Team Fortress 2 update adding new achievement weapons.  This time to the Scout class.  Quick and wiry, the scout is listed as an offensive class, but as anyone who has put time in the trenches will tell you, the scout can also be a formidable defense class.  With the new site in place, Valve plans to release a bit of new information each day.  For day 1, they released information on the new weapon to replace the bat, called The Sandman. BlizzCon® 2009 Announced You remember the craziness of BlizzCon last year? The tickets going on sale and being sold out in minutes. The cool swag that people, who were able to go, got to walk away with. The cosplay. Well there is some good news for those who didn't make it. Get Yo' Killzone 2 On
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 17th of February 2009 - 05:00 PM ]
This Week in Killzone 2 (and more demo codes) There have been many ways for people to gain access to the Killzone 2 demo before the game actually comes out in about 10 days, from now. Most recently one could have hunted down one of the only Helghast avatars in PlayStation Home and request one from them. Apparently something that was difficult for a bunch of people on the PlayStation Blog. But outside of that or pre-ordering the game, like one should, Sony is hooking everyone up again with a chance. Black Mesa Mod Coming Later This Year
by Sam [ Tuesday, 17th of February 2009 - 03:18 AM ]
Remember a couple years back when they first announced the Black Mesa Mod and showed off all those beautiful screen shots but never really gave a release day? Well now we have one...sort of. In an Interview with Screen Plays project leader James "DexX" Dominguez, James says:I won't say anything more specific than "Late 2009". Like any developer, we want to squeeze as much awesome in as possible before we ship, but we won't withhold it any longer than absolutely necessary once it's done. Read More…

FEAR 2 Review
by Ben Brody [ Tuesday, 17th of February 2009 - 02:28 AM ]
What's scarier than a little 7 year old girl just absolutely tearing people apart? Nothing, that's what. FEAR 2, the true sequel to FEAR, comes to us from Monolith and is hands down one of the scariest games ever. Dead Space, Silent Hill, and Condemned are given a run for their money with Alma, the girl previously mentioned. The game starts out about 30 minutes prior to the ending of the first game and puts you in the shoes of Sgt. Michael Becket, a Delta Force member who was mentioned in the first game as apart of a team assigned to bring Genevieve Aristide and put her into protective custody, which is the first mission of the game. by Sam [ Sunday, 15th of February 2009 - 12:35 AM ]
Leaked info from anonymous people about Game Crazys Resident Evil 5 Pre-Order gift are now spreading through the internet, something that Capcom is supposed to announce on Tuesday. Not really a snow globe, but a sand globe of Chris and Sheva. Probably something I, and many others, were not expecting. Below is a picture of Game Crazys latest manager memo. Read More…

Amazon Bans Sales of Japanese Hentai Game Rapelay
by Michael Camacho [ Saturday, 14th of February 2009 - 03:12 PM ]
Amazon has found itself in a gaming controversy in the past few days as they pulled sales of a Japanese Hentai Game entitled Rapelay. Political pressure from the UK and outcry after various media reports caused Amazon to crack and stop the used sale from on of its affiliated sellers. This has brought about a huge debate of censorship against decency&values. A brief overview of this game is due for those who are not familiar with this game, and I assume that is most of the readers. Rapelay is a game produced in Japan only, and is about a young man who was turned in by a young school girl after molesting a woman on a train. Read More…

Virtua Tennis 2009 to be Released on Wii
by Brian Bentley [ Saturday, 14th of February 2009 - 02:28 PM ]
Sega announced yesterday in a press release that their best selling tennis series Virtua Tennis will be hitting store shelves in May 2009, that includes on the Nintendo Wii.  Before you Wii owners (myself included) start dreaming of Wii Sports tennis, only more responsive and on a grander scale, I caution you that they have not released any information on how the Wii's "unique" controls will factor into the game mechanics.  I am a little frightened that the Vice President of Marketing, Sean Radcliffe, chose the "Court Games" as the feature he wished to highlight for the Wii.   The last thing this console needs is another mini-game affair attached to wagglefest main feature.
