3D Realms, the developers of Duke Nukem Forever has shut down. Due to a cut off of funding from Take Two studios, 3D realms employees have already been let go. Take Two is keeping the publishing rights to Duke Nukem Forever, and Apogee Software have just confirmed that the situation at 3D Realms has not affected the development for the new handheld titles for PSP and Nintendo DS. The handheld will be developed by Frontline Games'. Duke Nukem Forever has been trying to release for almost 12 years, and even a short teaser was released in late 2007 (Seen Below). Read More…

More Peripherals!!!! Yay! I know that is what you're thinking as today Activision announced their fall releases of "Hero" franchises. Attempting to break into the hip-hop and R&B markets, they will be releasing DJ Hero, coming to you with special turntable peripheral. No longer content with sticking to plastic instruments, they are moving into plastic electronics. Couch Potato Hero will of course have plastic TV and remote as you sit on your couch playing a person sitting on a couch. FTW! Last month World of Warcraft made an announcement that they would be bringing us two new Gamer Fuel flavors of Mountain Dew. Alliance Blue and Horde Red. The official Warcraft site has been posting little about it but no real definite dates. Currently there is a website here with a timer quickly counting down. The mystery is that it says you can start winning tokens and you can enter a chance to win every 15 minutes. At the bottom of the page is your typical "enter e-mail address here" bar. Read More…

Another week means new downloadable releases on Wii and DSi. This ultimately indicates another first party cash-in for Nintendo. A rumor I had heard and spoke out about on Total Meltdown, Episode 26, that Nintendo would use their first party mascots/characters to sell little applications on the DSi has come to fruition.A pair of applications are new to the DSi Ware shop. New Beatles Rock Band Controllers With pre-orders starting to fly in for this new Rock Band game, The Beatles, the people over at Harmonix and MTV have decided to hook those pre-order people with a few little extras for shelling out a few bucks before the game comes out. Atlus Announces Golden Ticket Beta For Neo Steam

Atlus Online announced earlier today its plans for the intial run of its beta testing for their upcoming MMORPG, Neo Steam: The Shattered Continent. They will be limiting it to 2,000 random participants, including previous Neo Steam contest winners, to receive a Golden Ticket. The few lucky enough to be granted to enter the beta will find a Golden Ticket in their e-mail inbox from May 5th to May 12th 2009. Well there is a Twelve Million Dollar experimental recruitment facility called Army Experience Center in the mall. Capcom Confirms US Release For Fate/Unlimited Codes

Capcom announced last week during CAPTIVATE 09 that they will be releasing the PSP fighting game, Fate/Unlimited Codes Portable, in the U.S. Unlike Japan, the American release will be following Europe in releasing the game digitally only through the Playstation Store. Sony and Capcom both firmly state that they are not abandoning the UMD format that is the primary media used in PSP games. Capcom has promised a winter release at a retail price of $29.99. Feel Game Trailer A while back there was some buzz about a game based on the horror film The Grudge. It was quite a while back, and it was mainly the people that brought the film to you were working on a game, but the internet buzz twisted it one way and went with it. Well it's not really his game, but you can't sit there and watch the trailer or anything else for this game and not tell me the main character wasn't written to have Mr. Black voice and be modeled after. 4Chan Eroge Title Katawa Shoujo Releases Demo

A group of 4Chan /a/ regulars have decided to step away from posting memes and get into Eroge/Hentai game creation. It began in 2007 when an anonymous posting of Doujin work by Raita focusing on character designs for a dating sim revolving around Crippled characters. The lightbulb went off and the small group banded together to bring that idea to reality. Once a dedicated team was fully assembled, they created Four Leaf Studios and began their work.Here is the official description of the game: Katawa Shoujo is a bishoujo-style visual novel set in the fictional Yamaku High School for disabled children, located somewhere in modern Japan. So the Fallout franchise has been out in the media and news quite a bit lately after the London conference. After surfing around the interwebs, look at this interesting bit of info i came a cross. A listing on eStarland is reportedly selling a 2 pack of expansion codes for the "Broken Steel" expansion pack and another expansion called "Point Look". The item although says "Point Look - Information Not Available Yet for This Expansion." The cost for both is $20 and will begin shipping on June 9th. Read More…
