by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of March 2008 - 10:02 PM ]
Rockstar Apologizes For And Is Working On 360 Bully Now that I've suckered you into the article, time to mess you up. I'll try not to mess you up as bad as Rockstar has made it seem that they have messed up. Apparently their testing and QA department didn't catch all of the bugs in the game before release. Let me list them for you: Serious frame rate issues Audio glitches Freezing At least those are the ones reported thus far. Sam Houser had this to say about the whole things to boot. Read More…

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of March 2008 - 07:31 PM ]
Circuit City Has A PS3 Return Policy For HD-DVD Players Ok, now this one isn't the online scams and such that you get spammed with every time you log online or do a search for the PS3. Circuit City has announced that they will take back any HD-DVD players and exchange them for a nice shiny new Blu-Ray player. The customer still has to pay the difference, but you can also take back a player you bought no more than a couple months ago. You know, before Toshiba dropped there bomb of backing out of the HD format race. Read More…

THQ Has Spirit, How About You?
by Trina [ Thursday, 6th of March 2008 - 05:57 PM ]
THQ announces All Star Cheer Squad for the Wii and DS Okay get ready to roast me, but I am completely intrigued by THQ's announcement of All Star Cheer Squad for the Wii and DS. As a former cheerleader, I can't help but giggle as I imagine people cheering with Wii-mote in hand in the their living room. Players will enter into the world of competitive cheer leading as seen in Bring it on. "With the explosive growth of the girls gaming market in recent years due to the continued success of Wii and DS, our ongoing goal is to stay at the cutting edge of that success by bringing a brand new property for this segment to these popular systems," said Jim Huntley, director of global brand management, THQ. SSB:Brawl Biggest Tournament At GameStop I know I've talked about it the few times I've been in the ShoutBox and once on the Forums, but here is the release event to end all release events, at least for now. But it looks like they are promoting even further a game that has already hit over 2 million pre-orders already. Awesome right? Well you will get to play the game before the actual US street release, at least for a few hours before you get to take it home with you. Read More…

Now That's A Proposition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of March 2008 - 05:03 PM ]
Romantic Hacks The DS To Pop The Big Question Now here's something positive coming out with all the negative press the gaming community gets. And Gods know we need it. But in any instance, a man decided to find another unique way of popping the question to his betrothed. He hacked into the DS and created a version of Bejeweled and sent it to his love. She opened it, and start playing the game only to find that after racking up a certain score, the screen shifted and a grouping of blocks in the shape of a ring dropped onto the screen. That's when he actually asked the big question. Read More…

Uwe Boll Considers Spielberg A Hack
by Trina [ Thursday, 6th of March 2008 - 12:07 AM ]
The worst video game film maker, Uwe Boll, challenges the great Uwe Boll lives in some alternate universe and I don't know whether to laugh or to pity him. But since he's making a ton more money than me making crappy movies, I'll laugh at him. Uwe has put Postal up against Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on May 23rd of this year. Most people wouldn't be crazy enough to go up against Indy, but horror website Bloody Disgusting got a quote from him in an email where he thinks he's going to take down Spielberg: "On the Indiana Jones weekend - May 23 - we will go out and destroy Indiana Jones in the Box Office! We all know that Harrison Ford is older as my grandpa and his time is up - would Michael Moore say! Read More…

"Geek" Culture
by Alyssa Porter [ Wednesday, 5th of March 2008 - 11:04 PM ]
Geek Culture though my eyes We all know what it feels like to be an outcast and somewhat different than your peers. Whether you are in middle school, high school, college, or the work force, you know what it feels like to be left out. For all of you who have ever been called a geek, nerd, dork, or freak, I know how you feel. When I was in high school I used to try to defend myself against such names as “geek” but now I realize that names like that are not such bad things. Each of these descriptive definitions of someone has many positive aspects to offer. Read More…

First Jason And Now Freddy Slashing Away
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of March 2008 - 09:14 PM ]
Rumor: Europe Might Be Getting A Xbox 360 Price Cut So yesterday I talked about how and why the PS3 might get a much needed price slash. Now it turns out that the Xbox 360 might be getting one as well. The big difference in these two stories is that this one seems more like a fact than a rumor, unlike the PS3 report. This should go into effect some time before the Easter sales period and it is reported to be a 50 EUR drop down on all systems. Making the ranges of the systems down to 150 EUR for the Arcade Version, 200 EUR for the Premium, and 240 EUR for the Elite version of the system. Read More…

Kai Kicks Nariko Out…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of March 2008 - 06:52 PM ]
Info about Heavenly Sword II We all knew it would happen, with Heavenly Sword being a huge game. Not to mention being featured on Heroes. Good news on this is that it has been written already and production is going. Another interesting thing that people didn't know is that they were asking us normal folk, from here on in Normies, our opinions. Before you ask "Where?", it was a focus group out of Chicago last night. Read More…

Double Axe For Wii
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of March 2008 - 06:17 PM ]
Guitar Hero III Gets New Pack So you might have heard or been mixed up in the fiasco of the Mono-sound issue with the Wii version of the game. If you signed up for the replacement disc, I'm sorry for you since that doesn't seem to be going to well, at least from what has been reported to me. I hear it is a long turn around time to get your disk shipped back to you. So you might want to pick up another game in the mean time to fill the void of the wait. No More Heroes is a good choice, but I digest. Read More…

Audiofurf is one of the best selling games according to Steam and Valve Valve sent over a press release on my favorite game Audiosurf. Don't forget our interview with Audiosurf just in case you missed it.
