by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 31st of August 2011 - 08:27 PM ]
Join Corey and myself as we tear apart and heap praise upon Deus Ex: Human Revolution. We cover everything from basic game play to voice acting to the weirdness of the game world. We also go into why you should or shouldn't buy the game; this includes from GameStop. Enjoy the listen and review. We are currently still having a technical issue with our usual feeds, so in the mean time, click here to listen, press play below or use the link below to download it directly. Direct Download Deus Ex: Human Revolution was developed by Eidos Montreal and published by Square Enix on August 23rd 2011 for the PS3, XBox and PC. Knuckle Bumps To The Gamers Behind Fallout: Nuka Break
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of August 2011 - 05:28 PM ]
So there was that abomination that occurred with Mortal Kombat's web series. I've all but given up on trying to care about any web series that are based on popular video game franchises. That is until I caught Wayside Creations' rendition of Fallout, aptly titled Fallout: Nuka Break. Before you ask, this was created by fans of Fallout for fans of Fallout. The creator's being a small independent production company. The same company that released the virally popular short film with the same title. Read More…

WarCorner: Blizzard Announces Vanity Pet Murkablo
by Corey Dockendorf [ Friday, 26th of August 2011 - 05:43 PM ]
Blizzcon is less than two months away and Blizzard has just announced that players who attend Blizzcon '11 on October 21st and 22nd at the Anaheim convention or those that pay $40 for the Pay Per View virtual ticket, will get the highly anticipated vanity pet Murkablo. It's like having a little Diablo in your Warcraft. Although this is not the first Diablo vanity pet found in World of Warcraft, as Mini-Tyrael was the pet given out at Blizzard's Worldwide Invitational back in 2008, it's still very exciting. We saw some brief video of this little fire breather back in June when a few data mining sites pulled him from the "depths of hell" and gave us a short preview. Read More…

It's About Time For Some New Final Fantasy XIII-2 Stuff
by Irene Collazo [ Thursday, 25th of August 2011 - 10:30 PM ]
Isn't it about time that we got a slew of new screen shots and such for Final Fantasy XIII-2? Not to mention a narration from the game's developers for the trailers that have been show to us in the past. Wouldn't that be a nice little update for the day? I think it would be, so I guess I'll do just that for you below. There is nothing too revealing on anything here except further proof of Square Enix doing an amazing job with visual effects in their games. As if we didn't already know that. Read More…

A Little Twsited Metal Before PAX Prime
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 24th of August 2011 - 03:45 PM ]
I like to think that there is no one sadder that myself about the Twisted Metal delay. I'm sure there might be, but I don't want to make assumptions here. No need to make and Ass out of U and Ptions. Am I right or am I right? Of course I am. Moving on now. Well we might not be getting the game in October and there won't be a "beta" for the multiplayer, at least as David Jaffe has stated. What we will be getting is a new playable map at PAX Prime. For those of us who are not going to PAX Prime and don't want to wait for news and videos to leak out, below we have a few new screen shots for your digestion. Read More…

Want To See What Was Shown For Star Trek At E3?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of August 2011 - 10:59 PM ]
So back in June we got to look at Star Trek from Paramount and Digital Extremes. It was overly impressive but it was also something that was behind some extremely closed door. In fact what we saw is still not out for the public yet to its full extent. This is sad for all those Trekkies out there and hardcore Sci-Fi gamers out there. Well here is the good news for you. Below is a short clip showcasing all the awards that Star Trek received even though it was so closely guarded. Read More…

Borderlands 2 Is Getting Chilly Too
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of August 2011 - 06:31 PM ]
Living in Vegas it is rare that we get to see snow. I'm talking real heavy snow. I personally hate the stuff but I do love the temperature that comes along side with snow. I do enjoy going outside on a nice brisk day where I can still wear short sleeves and not freeze my balls off. Much like the poster boy for Borderlands 2 as you will see below. Like how I brought that around? From Gamescom, 2K and Gearbox have given us some more to look at for the game. Read More…

How Do The PSP God Of War Titles Compare To PS3?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 16th of August 2011 - 09:17 PM ]
When I heard that Sony was going to bundle the two PSP God Of War titles, Chains Of Olympus and Ghost Of Sparta, for the PS3 I was a little upset. I already dropped the cash on these games for the PSP and the PS3 was already out. I thought then, why did they not just make these games on the PS3 and just make them downloadable or cheap disks? After seeing the below comparison, I am even more infuriated that I had to wait to get them in high definition and on my big screen at home. Watch the trailer clip below and tell me that it wouldn't have made sense to just put both of these titles on the PSN or PS3 in the first place. Read More…

Batman Getting The Cold Shoulder In Arkham City
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 16th of August 2011 - 01:17 PM ]
Here we go with yet another villain shown for Batman: Arkham City - Mr. Freeze. If you look below, you'll see the nice, shiny new trailer for this latest reveal. At first glance, it really just seems like another step to stop Bats from getting things under control. That is, until he begins to meander around like a smaller, frozen Big Daddy. It does look like Freeze will be adding a few new environmental challenges for Batman from the video. Most notably would have to be the freezing of ledges. Read More…

Inversion Lets You Co-Op With More Than Gravity
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of August 2011 - 07:09 PM ]
As if manipulating gravity for your own needs in Inversion wasn't advantage enough, you can also have a buddy in the mix doing the same thing. Given the story of the game, I can understand why co-op fits in. Saving the day is more than a one-person job, even for Davis - the main character. I get that. Though, for far as a game goes, it just seems like it may be too much firepower on your side compared to the challenge of the main Campaign Mode. I was able to make it through the E3 demo of the game not firing a single shot from anything but the gravity gun without much of an issue. Read More…

Review: Grand Prix Story
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 10th of August 2011 - 05:17 PM ]
Mobile gaming has come a long way in terms of game design and depth. One of the leading developers in this area is Kairosoft. Their first big hit, Game Dev Story, turned a lot of heads, gaining critical acclaim for their simulation of running a video game development studio. Their latest release on the Android platform is Grand Prix Story – a simulation of running an automobile racing team. Start your smart phones! You start out by choosing your racing team’s name. Dead Island Shows How Team Work Is Golden During Zompocalypse
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of August 2011 - 09:56 PM ]
When choosing one's zombie team, you generally want to have a good group whom you know will watch your back and not hesitate to kill a zombie. There is no room for cry baby whiners who will end up killing you and the group down the line. It is just good tactics for survival. It would seem very amateurish if you didn't know that rule when it comes to surviving the zombie plague be it urban or not. So what is the big news here as it clearly isn't just a lesson on surviving Zompocalypse? Well Dead Island has officially gone gold so we can expect it to keep the September 6th launch date.
