Hope He Hasn't Been Slaying Hot Girls
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 4th of May 2009 - 08:56 PM ]
Brütal Legend Official Trailer Even though it is still about 5 months out, the PR train is starting off for EA's Jack Black video game. Well it's not really his game, but you can't sit there and watch the trailer or anything else for this game and not tell me the main character wasn't written to have Mr. Black voice and be modeled after. I'd go close to saying it is the closest to a Tenacious D video game that will ever be made. Read More…

The Coffee Corner
by Ben Brody [ Monday, 4th of May 2009 - 01:39 AM ]
The Coffee Corner:The Coffee Corner is a weekly review of the last week in gaming, chock full of opinions, sexual innuendos, and hot ladies... well maybe not, but still, it's pretty cool. It's not meant to give an ultra in-depth look at the news, but rather a glance and a quick quip. This past week saw two fairly large releases: X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the video game, and the movie. While neither were recieved by amazing reception from critics, both managed to sell fairly well. While video games based off movies haven't been regarded as the best games (Read: Jumper, Tale of Despereaux, Any Brash Game, etc). Read More…

4Chan Eroge Title Katawa Shoujo Releases Demo
by Michael Camacho [ Sunday, 3rd of May 2009 - 10:04 PM ]
A group of 4Chan /a/ regulars have decided to step away from posting memes and get into Eroge/Hentai game creation. It began in 2007 when an anonymous posting of Doujin work by Raita focusing on character designs for a dating sim revolving around Crippled characters. The lightbulb went off and the small group banded together to bring that idea to reality. Once a dedicated team was fully assembled, they created Four Leaf Studios and began their work. Here is the official description of the game: Katawa Shoujo is a bishoujo-style visual novel set in the fictional Yamaku High School for disabled children, located somewhere in modern Japan. So the Fallout franchise has been out in the media and news quite a bit lately after the London conference. After surfing around the interwebs, look at this interesting bit of info i came a cross. A listing on eStarland is reportedly selling a 2 pack of expansion codes for the "Broken Steel" expansion pack and another expansion called "Point Look". The item although says "Point Look - Information Not Available Yet for This Expansion." The cost for both is $20 and will begin shipping on June 9th. Read More…

by Kevin [ Saturday, 2nd of May 2009 - 05:47 PM ]
In keeping with the Mass Effect news that was previously presented concerning the concept at for ME2, here's some information on the side story coming to iPhones and the iPod Touch.Kotaku reported,"Intergalactic role-playing adventure is coming to the iPhone and iPod Touch with Mass Effect: Jacob's Story, a two-hour "animated presentation" with top-down arcade-style space combat that serves as a prequel of sorts to Mass Effect 2.The iPhone version of Mass Effect is currently being test-marketed via online survey, touting an "animated graphic novel experience" that blends "nuance[d]" story telling with "gripping top-down shooter combat."Mass Effect: Jacob's Story stars Jacob Taylor, "a biotic-powered super-soldier who stumbles across a plot to terrorize civilization's greatest beacon of hope," who must save the galaxy, naturally, but with an Apple brand touchscreen. A Mass Of Images
by Kevin [ Friday, 1st of May 2009 - 07:32 PM ]
After spying these over at Kotaku (and IGN for the wallpapers), I find myself getting even more excited for future information concerning the game. While the 'Death of Shepherd' has been mulled over by speculative fans, I wonder more about the supporting characters that you encountered in the first game. There is plenty of room to to explore more about the relationships between them and their history, and to visit some of their home worlds as well. You can check out the newest art here. Read More…

Another Evil Blast From The Past
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of May 2009 - 05:39 AM ]
Resident Evil: Archives I said it a long while back that this year was going to be the year of Resident Evil. Not that it would dominate the market and be game of the year. But that there was going to be a cornucopia of Resident Evil titles out for consoles this year. Although it would seem that more of them will be on the Wii over the other consoles out there. Count is 1 to 1 to 2 now. XBox, PlayStation and Wii respectfully. Read More…

Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 Coming To Live And PSN Looks like the complaining and wishing have finally paid off for all of us Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 fans. Well somewhat. Don't you hate when I say that because it generally means it comes with some kind of "but" or bad news? Well not totally this time. The aforementioned "somewhat" only means that we will have to wait until this summer to get it on our XBoxes and PlayStations. In fact, we will be getting it then with some new features that I'm sure will not let you down. Well as long as Live and the PSN do what is hoped of them. Read More…

Almost Died From Memory
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 29th of April 2009 - 05:21 PM ]
More Dead Space Extraction Screens Just when the buzz started to die down about this Wii Rail Shooter, Dead Space: Extraction, EA throws a few more screen shots out at us. Not the best way to generate that buzz back up about the game, but it is a good way to keep the slight vibrations of it going just a little bit longer until the big pay off. I know where all of your minds just went with that last sentence there. Don't deny. Read More…

Alright, Enough Already
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 29th of April 2009 - 04:29 PM ]
More Wii Accessories Well it looks like the Wii is now creating it's very own fitness facilities right in your home. I understand the popularity of the Wii Fit, I mean its innovative, it's new, it's healthy, but really these items will be put in a closet or stashed somewhere after a few months of boredom if more games cannot be used with them. First up is the WiiDum, 1.7lb weights that cradles the controller ever so softly. Read More…
