Let's Get Super Naughty With Naughty Bear
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of August 2010 - 04:28 PM ]
You know for a game that was not as widely accepted, outside of a small cult following, you would think that 505 Games and A2M would have moved on to another IP. But I guess it looks like Naughty Bear finally balled up and took them on to make his game even better. Better by adding in a whole new level, bear types, costumes and more to the story of Naughty Bear. Looks like the bears on the Island of Perfection have yet another scheme to take Naughty on with. Only this time a new group of superhero bears have come to the island. Read More…

SOE Fan Faire Hands On: DC Universe Online
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of August 2010 - 01:17 PM ]
You would think that with E3 and Comic Con only two months and two weeks, respectively, before Sony Online's big Fan Faire, that there would not be all that much new to happen with DC Universe Online. At least that's what I thought as I arrived to see what SOE had on display for their "true fans" in Las Vegas, NV last weekend. But I was greatly surprised that I was wrong; something that I rarely admit to happening. First, there was a new instance being shown off: Joker's Carnivale. Read More…

Brink Developer Diary - The Ark
by Corey Dockendorf [ Tuesday, 10th of August 2010 - 08:37 PM ]
In the latest Game Developers Diary for the much anticipated action FPS Brink, we learn the story behind the Ark. This post apocalyptic battle rages within this compound which houses way more citizens than it was designed for. So now this takes us to the story line, which is the turtle vs. the hare. You have on one side the resistance camp that is out of resources due to overpopulation, and think that the islands security has been hoarding their resources, and need to start sharing the wealth. Thus begins the close quarters civil war. Read More…

Looks like today is day for everything Fable 3. First pumping news and trailers, now we have information on pre-order content. Microsoft announced today the 'Fable 3 Villager Maker.' Players that pre-order the game will be able to build and import your own character into the game, along with some other interesting features. Microsoft is boasting that there are more that 2,000 combinations players can take advantage of - including back story, personality traits, gender, clothing, accent, hair and geographic origin (where in the world of Albion your character came from). Deus Ex Let's You Revolt By Shanking People
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of August 2010 - 05:16 PM ]
Let's face it, everyone likes to hand out a good old shanking to someone's face every now and then.* What better way to do that than a really cool "electrified" blade from behind? Am I right? Of course I am right. All proving-myself-right aside, it looks like that is just one of the really cool looking ways you will get to take down enemies in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. At least that is what I am gathering from these new screen shots handed out by Square Enix and Eidos for the game. If stabbing people isn't your bag, don't fret, there are a few other things you can observe. Read More…

Fable 3 Is Finger-Licking Good
by Corey Dockendorf [ Monday, 9th of August 2010 - 01:05 PM ]
Peter Molyneux's popular title Fable 3 is being released in October. This week we got a full opening cinematic that would make Colonel Sanders giddy with excitement. Although the main character is created by the player, this cinematic follows the adventures of everyone's favorite feathered football, the chicken. Fable 3 takes place during an age of industry and we see a lot of that highlighted in this trailer. The entire video is obviously a metaphor for our hero; you are the same as this 'brave chicken' - challenging Albion and its dangers. Read More…

Comic Con 2010: The Sights And Sounds
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of August 2010 - 10:36 PM ]
Now that Comic Con 2010 is a thing of the not too distant past, let's take a moment to reflect back on everything that happened there. Or at least everything that myself and the AggroGamer crew got to see and experience there - albeit with a caveat. That caveat being that I am only going to place the pics and videos of the fan stuff. So don't expect to see skimpy cos-play below. What you will see is some of the stuff for Thor - both video game and film, some of the filming set for The Walking Dead, randomness from around the show floor and a butt load from Tron. Read More…

Minerva's Den Is Where All The Cool DLC Was Hidden
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of August 2010 - 06:08 PM ]
Just when you thought that maybe there was nothing left to be done in BioShock 2 another DLC pack is sent our way. First it was more multiplayer. Then it was more "single" player in the form of harvesting challenges. Let's see what 2K Game is going to try and milk us for this time. Most likely more map packs for a multiplayer mode that is getting a little on the light side. *[Insert Press Release Opening Noises]* Oh, well isn't this interesting? New DLC that is all about expanding the best part of the game, THE STORY. Read More…

by Corey Dockendorf [ Friday, 6th of August 2010 - 03:52 PM ]
For the lucky few that were chosen to rally together and fight the new horrors of Azeroth in the World Of Warcraft: Cataclysm Beta test, a pretty big update was currently launched. The new clients, which can be downloaded from your battle.net account page, fully re-installs the beta test and showcases Blizzard's new streaming content feature; so you can download while you play. What does all this mean? Can't I just login the same way I have been since the start? Read More…

Mortal Kombat Cooler Than A Punch In The Face
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of August 2010 - 08:17 PM ]
Who doesn't like a good punch in the face right? Oh wait, that would totally suck. Especially if it were followed by a sai or a spear to the face as well. But obviously punches to your face are not what Warner Bros. and AggroGamer are trying to give you here. We're actually trying to just give you a new look at the new Mortal Kombat game coming out next year. Clearing all that up, let’s take a look-see here. Nothing too new for the franchise huh? Arkham Asylum Remodeled To Arkham City
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of August 2010 - 06:13 PM ]
It has been a long while since we had any good news about Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 hasn't it? Almost eight months it has been since the VGA's ran the announcement trailer for Warner Bros. and Rocksteady Games' next incarnation of the best Batman game to date. The only thing we've had to go on from there is the small slips that the voice actors have passed out. Well here is something better than those small things. For starters, it is no longer called Batman: Arkhamn Asylum 2. Read More…

Review: All Points Bulletin
by Corey Dockendorf [ Wednesday, 4th of August 2010 - 06:00 PM ]
Being an MMO fan, and always having a strong interest in online games it was a nice gesture that I would get a chance to review Real Time Worlds' All Points Bulletin. APB is a unique game, since it attempts to stand out and make changes to an MMO formula by giving players a new design in the Action-MMO world. Sometimes change is not a good thing. So let's jump right into it. Read More…

Runic Games Announces Torchlight II
by Brian Bentley [ Wednesday, 4th of August 2010 - 03:58 PM ]
Today via Twitter, Runic Games announced the highly anticipated sequel to last year's hit action-RPG, Torchlight. While only a teaser website today, Torchlight II looks to bring everything that made the original successful, build upon it and enable co-op game play. New classes to play, new TorchEd modification editor and a new user interface are just a few of the features already listed for Torchlight II. Did I mention Co-Op multiplayer? I was a big fan of Torchlight and while the fans (myself included) patiently wait for Torchlight MMO; this will definitely tide us over until then. Read More…
