Square Enix Wants To Prove We Can't Kill Progress

If you have been keeping tabs on the weird stuff on the internet over the last few days then you may have heard or seen the Can't Kill Progress video stream taking place as I type and you read. This is all part of some huge game reveal from Square Enix and one of their Western developers and kind of shows how depraved humans truly are. As of right now the titles we can speculate on here are Can't Kill Progress and Project CKP and the video shows a man being broken down and "tortured" in a small cell. Of course you can see the feed below but what is interesting is that we get to help choose his fate via Twitch voting.

The voting for the Can't Kill Progress stream fires off at predetermined events in the video but other than that it really is just a fancy loop of this poor human going through what looks like hells. Some of the actions that have been seen thus far have been him lying on the floor, screaming at the walls, undergoing audio torture with the theme song from Hostel 2, being interrogated, and having his jacket ripped from his back by a man with a robotic arm. The votes have mainly being on how he should react during some of the interrogation scenes and from what I have seen most want him to lash back at the captors.

It's fun and all but what could Square Enix be teasing here with the Can't Kill Progress stream? The speculation has been all over the place from a new IP to the continuation of other IPs that Square has under their belt already. Have a look at the Can't Kill Progress feed below and then we will continue with what this could mean.

Can't Kill Progress — Live Feed

If I had to put money on this I would go with a possible Deus Ex sequel or addition to the franchise. The look and feel of everything here seems to match up with what we have experienced in the most recent major addition to that franchise. Just watch a bit of the Can't Kill Progress feed and you can see the camera hacking, the bio-mechanics, the futuristic setting, and well pretty much all kinds of things pointing there. Eidos Montreal also happens to be one of Square Enix's Western developers and have been working on a Deus Ex: Universe title already. This could be the big push as in that franchise you "Can't Kill Progress." See what I did there?

Another speculated, and a bit reaching for me, would be the next Hitman title that we already know is coming from Io Interactive. The cell where someone is being held captive and watched for unknown reasons. The man we are watching being tortured in the Can't Kill Progress feeds could be the next Agent or target for Agent 47 but that seems a little too out there. Although I won't lie; if Agent 47 can busting in guns-a-blazing when the final vote comes up for the Can't Kill Progress feed I would lose my mind. I just don't see that happening on April 8th when it all goes down.

To go along with the above Can't Kill Progress feed we've also had a few smaller videos to also tease and boggle the mind. Have a look at them here as we also have three more on the way.

So what do you think is going on with this Can't Kill Progress feed? What do you think Square Enix has up their sleeve here? Let us know what you think down in the comments and we'll see if we are right or not.
