We Have A Few New Batman: Arkham Knight Screens Flying At You
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A few new screen shots for Batman: Arkham Knight have been released and show off Batman being Batman… While it may not be more video footage of Batman: Arkham Knight we do have a few new screen shots for the game to tide us over until the next big video of gameplay. Although this looks like it is all about the Batmobile or Batman in full action here in the game. If only there was more to speculate on and think about for Batman: Arkham Knight or the reason it is coming out in February next year instead of October here in short time. But alas, there is nothing more to go with than these images. Read More…

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 18th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
As we gear up to re-enter the metro with Metro Redux we have two new comparison videos to show all of the upgrades for the games The release of Metro Redux is almost upon us. Just about a week now until fans of the franchise can replay both of the amazing titles that have come out in an all new fashion and on the PS4, Xbox One, or their PC again. Granted we already know that Metro Redux is going to look spectacular and leaps and bounds over the PS4 and XB1 versions of the game but wouldn't it be awesome to see how amazing the games look over the consoles of yesteryear? Look at all that old timey talk. Read More…

This Week In Gaming 8/11/14 — 8/15/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Gaming It was Gamescom week so as to be expected the gaming news came rolling in nonstop. We are still trying to recover and get everything we can out there for you readers. There were some ups, like Until Dawn getting revitalized for the PS4, and then there were some downs, like Rise Of The Tomb Raider being slated as an Xbox exclusive for a bit of time. Then again that is only bad news for those out there planning on playing the game on a PlayStation or PC so you can take that as you will for now. Another bit of interesting-ness in the world of gaming is that it seemed like there was a hard push for horror games this week. Read More…

It Looks Like Assassin's Creed Unity Is Becoming More Thief-like
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new bit of gameplay for Assassin's Creed Unity has been released from Gamescom and it looks like there is more stealth action included Earlier today we had a look at Assassin's Creed Rouge's naval gameplay now we have a look at Assassin's Creed Unity and its new features to the franchise. In this case it looks like there are more and more features that are turning Assassin's Creed Unity into what looks like a Thief mod for the franchise. At least since there are new stealth modes, the need to pick pockets, and also pick locks. All things that make sense for Assassin's Creed Unity but just feel like more mechanics added just to be added. Read More…

Let's Regain Some Perspective On The Combat System Of Bloodborne
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Not only was there a new trailer for Bloodborne out of Gamescom but some new information on the combat system and how it differs from other IPs When I first saw Bloodborne at E3 I was under-impressed with what I saw. Visually Bloodborne looked spectacular but as far as gameplay and combat went it looked nothing like the announcement trailer or other bits of CGI that was being shown. What I was expecting was fast paced and not along the lines of Demon's Souls' kind of combat for this PS4 title. Luckily there was a bit more of an explanation for Bloodborne at Gamescom here recently and it is starting to make more sense now. Read More…

Naval Combat Makes A Huge Return In Assassin's Creed Rogue
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Two new gameplay demos for Assassin's Creed Rogue have been released and show off the new and upgraded features of naval combat So it looks like Assassin's Creed Rogue is coming out strong at Gamescom here and with its imminent release date approaching the dev team took time to show off the new and improved naval combat system for the game. This was an amazing feature that I thought made its real debut in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag but it looks like Ubisoft is just pushing things further by taking us into uncharted waters, pun intended, with different locations that we can sail in. Below you will find both the videos for River Valley and Arctic locations we will get to sail and kill through. Read More…

Wait…We Will Get To Play As Boxman With The Evil Within's Season Pass?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Looks like there will be a season pass for The Evil Within giving us a few interesting ways to play the game When it comes to season passes for games The Evil Within doesn't seem like it would be a title that would have a need for one. Granted, that is looking at most season passes as multiplayer add-ons for games or bonus maps for said multiplayer but that isn't the case here. Don't think that some form of multiplayer has been shoe horned in for The Evil Within when it wouldn't be needed nor wanted for the horror experience. It is all story or mission based content planned to roll out after the October launch. Read More…

Have A Look At How Terrifying Alien Isolation Is Trying To Be
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new CGI trailer for Alien Isolation has been released from Gamescom showing off the terror that Creative Assembly is aiming for There shouldn't be any mistake in knowing that Alien Isolation is being slated more to the horror and suspense side of the franchise than the pure action schlop we've been getting. I've played through a bit of the game at conventions past and while it is now Silent Hills teaser it is a down right suspenseful title. At least that is the case based on the little bit I have played for Alien Isolation but I am sure that SEGA and Creative Assembly want to instill that fear that the franchise had so long ago. So… Rise Of The Tomb Raider May Not Be An Xbox Exclusive Forever
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 14th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
In a recent interview Phil Spencer confirmed that the exclusivity deal for Rise Of The Tomb Raider has a time limit During the recent Microsoft press event at Gamescom it was claimed that Rise Of The Tomb Raider was going to be an exclusive for Xbox next year. This of course upset A LOT of gamers out there, like me, who fell in love with how Crystal Dynamics gave the franchise a re-boot. Tomb Raider Definitive Edition was the first retail game I purchased for my PS4. Well it would seem that during a recent interview from Phil Spencer this exclusivity may not be forever based on the deal Microsoft and Square Enix struck. Read More…

If You Haven't Had A Chance To See/Play P.T. Here's What It Is About
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
During Sony's press event at Gamescom 2014 a new IP called P.T. was announced but it was more a tease for Silent Hills Talk about a thrilling and scary title here with P.T. from 7780s Studio. Or as we should all better know it now as Playable Teaser from Kojima Productions. Or as we should all know it even better as Silent Hills from said studio with Guillermo del Toro and Norman Reedus attached to it as well. Although at its core it is one of the best ways to announce a new title coming to the PS4 from all those great minds and talent. If you have yet to play through the P. Read More…
