Review — Batman: The Telltale Series — Realm Of Shadows
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of August 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Batman We sit down and review Batman: The Telltale Series — Realm Of Shadows. This is the first episode of Telltale's take on the Batman franchise. Here's our review on how they did It seemed like a weird time to bring out Batman: The Telltale Series given all of the other titles fighting for the limelight back when the game was first announced. But given that Telltale Games has had a pretty solid record on their storytelling titles to date I know myself and many other tried to ignore all of the other Batman going on to give this version of the franchise a fair shake. Well the first episode of the game has been released and we have been able to play it. Read More...

Review — ADR1FT
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of August 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
ADR1FT We sit down and review ADR1FT. A new exploratory title that shows us some great fears of space. Here's our review of ADR1FT When I first saw ADR1FT I was under the impression it was just another serene space adventure that was a "paint by numbers" kind of design. Then as Three One Zero kept giving us more and more to look at the game evolved and looked like it was becoming truly unique all its own. Now that 505 Games has released the game we have had a chance to play and review ADR1FT in all of its forms outside of just watching nice little trailers. Here's our full review and thoughts on just how the game played and felt along the way. Read More...

Review — Dead Island Remaster
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of August 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Dead Island We sit down and review Dead Island Remaster. The old title has been revamped up for the new systems with all the bells and whistles. Here's our review of Dead Island Remaster It's been almost five years since Dead Island first came out on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. In my opinion this is what started Techland off on the road to making some amazing zombie games and now it has been remastered and bundled together by Deep Silver for the PS4, and Xbox One. All of the usual remastered items being added into the mix here for Dead Island to keep us all playing it further and possibly stepping away from the other titles we have out there currently. Thankfully we had the chance to give this remaster a whirl and here is our review of the Dead Island remaster. Read More...

Review — The Technomancer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of August 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
The Technomancer We sit down and review The Technomancer. It's the developer's next foray into the RPG realm with a cyberpunk feel. Here's our review of The Technomancer Here we go with another lesser known RPG game set in a weird future in terms of The Technomancer. This would be the latest RPG title that Spiders has put out on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC and so far it has been getting mixed reviews. Thankfully Focus Home Interactive gave us the chance to check out The Technomancer and give it a solid play-though. We put the game through its paces and now is the time to let you all know if you should add this game to your play list, back log, or steer clear list. Read More...

Review — Mighty No. 9
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of August 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Mighty No. 9 We sit down and review Mighty No. 9. Some say it is a Mega Man rip-off and others just another Kickstarter title. Here's our review of Mighty No. 9 If there has been a game in recent history that has had one rocky development cycle it seems it would be Mighty No. 9. It was backed and funded with the quickness when comcept original brought the idea to market as many saw it to be the Mega Man title they have been waiting for. Then Deep Silver hopped in and made sure that development on Mighty No. 9 would be certain to make it to the end. Read More...

Hitman's World Of Assassination Expands For The Summer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of July 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Hitman Two new mini-episodes for Hitman have been added into the mix to expand the world of Hitman just a bit more for the summer It was certainly looking like we were going to be getting a new episode of Hitman each month since its launch as we have since. Sadly, it looks like Io Interactive has fallen a bit behind on that schedule or that was just the assumption we all had since we saw a new one by the end of each month until now. Whatever the case may be, it looks like we are getting a few new bits of gameplay as well as some new missions in Hitman for this Summer. There is no word out of Square Enix if this will be what we get for the summer and nothing else but it looks like there is a bit more of the game to be played on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC as of right now. Review — Minecraft: Story Mode — A Portal To Mystery
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of July 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Minecraft We sit down and review Minecraft: Story Mode — A Portal To Mystery. This is the sixth episode of Telltale's take on Mojang's famed franchise. Here's our review on how they did The story continues for Minecraft: Story Mode as we have the first episode in the expanded adventure and the sixth episode in the epic tale of Jesse and his crew as they do what is apparently done in Mojang's world. If you are somehow still behind the times though this also expands on the story that Telltale Games has been building up for us over pretty much a year now. I'm still confused as to why they didn't go a solid second season and just have all of this is part of it but they didn't Now let us dig into this new episode of Minecraft: Story Mode before we get bogged down with even more of their great stories and such. Hitman Fans Have Spoken & It Is Time To Hunt Down Gary Busey
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of July 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Hitman The next big elusive target for Hitman has been selected and it looks like Hitman fans will be hunting down Gary Busey for some reason It looks like the Hitman fans have spoken and they have voted for their next elusive target to go live this week. This one won't be some made up character or villain from Io Interactive but instead it looks like it will be some Hollywood big-hitter in the cross-hairs of Agent 47's gun. The next big target for Hitman is…Gary Busey and we get to put an end to all of his antics. You know, because nothing says fun like a huge group of gamers getting around and debating who they should have to kill in a game with all of the other death that is going on in the world. This Week In Video Games 7/4/16 — 7/8/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 8th of July 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games One more week in video games is in the bad now and it has been another fun one. We were able to see Evolve go free-to-play, how South Park is taking comedy serious here, and also a whole bunch of new Battlefield 1 gameplay to tide us over for a bit. We also had the chance to review three more video games here this week with some highs and some lows. It pains me to see horrible game reviews but then again it is our job to tell the developers when they have given us trash and when they have given us gold. Read More...

Review — Deadlight: Director's Cut
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 6th of July 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Deadlight We sit down and review Deadlight: Director's Cut. It's another remaster for a game that didn't get much love before. Here's our review of Deadlight: Director's Cut It's only been a short four years and now we have Deadlight: Director's Cut landing on the PS4 and Xbox One after a nice stint on the 360 and PC. This would be Tequila Works' side-scrolling zombie adventure that aims to focus on story more than just exploding brains. It was decently received the first time around but now we have a more definitive edition of the game here now with all of the extra mixed in that the original Deadlight just didn't have. Read More...

Review — Hard Reset Redux
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of July 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Hard Reset Redux We sit down and review Hard Reset Redux. It's another remaster of a classic title but it is one that needed to be done. Here's our review of Hard Reset Redux It's been some time coming but Hard Reset Redux has launched on consoles and has been given a full remaster on the PC. It only took five years for Flying Wild Hog's title made it to the PS4 and Xbox One. That is okay though as Gambitious had some great ambitions for all of this and now it has come to light. Thankfully we had a chance to sit back and give this remaster a shot from start to finish. Read More...

Review — Hitman — Marrakesh
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of July 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Hitman We sit down and review Hitman — Marrakesh. This is the third episode of Io Interactive's latest addition to the Hitman franchise. Here's our review on how they did. The world is ever expanding for Hitman and here we go with another episode and location to explore and kill many people that we are told to target. That is just how Io Interactive has everything set up in the game and that is just we have to do. All with a nice little story around it all but mostly just for the mechanics. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 5/23/16 — 5/27/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of May 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Another week in video games in the bag and now we get to move on to the next. This should have been a slower week given the proximity of E3 now but there was plenty rolling out to get us all prepped for the event. We had a few sneak peeks of sorts with Vampyr and Umbrella Corps here as well as the announcement of a new title Absolver to see. Then of course we were able to get the nice big review for Homefront: The Revolution out there for you after waiting for the updates to fix some of the major issues with the game. Read More...

Review — Homefront: The Revolution
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 26th of May 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Homefront We sit down and review Homefront: The Revolution. A reimagining of the franchise to make America great again. Here's our review of Homefront: The Revolution It's been a while coming but Homefront: The Revolution has released and we've been able to dive right into what Dambuster Studios has to offer us. It may not be what was originally in store for us back in the THQ days but since Deep Silver picked up the franchise and put the teams to work to reimagine the game we are in store for another fun ride in a fake historical timeline. It makes sense I swear. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 5/16/16 — 5/20/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 20th of May 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games One more week in video games in the bag and many more to go. Although I have a feeling we are going to be on the lighter side of the news here soon as E3 is rolling in and there will be way more rumors that we can shake a stick at. All that aside though, this one has been fun with all kinds of updates on Final Fantasy XV and Dishonored 2. Not to mention our latest reviews here for Hitman and The Magic Circle. Read More...
