Review — Binaries
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Monday, 4th of April 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Binaries We sit down and review Binaries. It's a quirky little platformer of sorts from another small developer. Here's our review of Binaries Binaries is the world’s first concentration-platform game developed by Ant Workshop. This is the Scotland based developers first project. Lead developer Tony Gowland has been a game designer for over fourteen years, and has quite the list of accomplishments along with Will Morton who has many accomplishments to his name as well. I found this game to be a love hate relationship. I would power through levels and get angrier with each death. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 18th of March 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games This has been one crazy week for video games hasn't it? We had a whole load of new rumors fly out there and some huge announcements. Could we be getting Red Dead Redemption 2 and a BioShock Collection or is that just wishful thinking? How about the price announcement for the PlayStation VR that came out and then was followed up by a bundle that still greatly undercuts the competition in terms of price. Hells, we also had a nice review for the first episode of Hitman land out there for you. Read More...

Review — Hitman — Paris
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 17th of March 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Hitman We sit down and review Hitman — Paris. This is the first episode of Io Interactive's latest addition to the Hitman franchise. Here's our review on how they did. The wait is finally over and the multi-delayed Hitman has been released. Well at least the first full episode and the prolog that many of us had a chance to experience during the beta that Square Enix put on for us. That was a nice taste but the maps were small and tight and it is time to see what Io Interactive has in store for us as we move forward with the rest of the content coming for Hitman. Here's our review of the first "episode" of the game just for you to read. Read More...

Here's our review on how they did When it comes to some great storytelling The Walking Dead graphic novel is one of the best. King's Quest We Sit Down And Review King's Quest: Rubble Without A Cause. This Is The Second Episode Of The Odd Gentlemen's reboot to the Famed Franchise From Sierra Entertainment. Here's Our Review On How They've Done So Far Slow and steady seems to be the pace that the new King's Quest is going in terms of releasing new episodes for the game. Only six months since The Odd Gentlemen game us the first taste to hook us in and now here comes the second one. All in a storytelling experience that claims that each episode of King's Quest can be completely isolated and playing the others just helps with the overall narrative of the game. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 2/15/16 — 2/19/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 20th of February 2016 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games There we go with yet another week in video games in the bag. As usual there was so very much that we had to cover and we did our damnedest to make sure we were able to get to every last bit that we could. We did have a lot more on the Far Cry Primal and Paragon side of things than could have been expected but the world of video games is a fickle bitch. I'm just glad we were able to get to the Layers Of Fear and Minecraft: Story Mode reviews we kept talking about that last few weeks. That all said, now we just have to keep looking forward to the next week and all of the other video games that we are going to hear about in the coming days. Read More...

Review — Layers Of Fear
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of February 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Layers Of Fear We Sit Down And Review Layers Of Fear. It's been labeled as one of the scariest games in a while but is that true? Here's Our Review Of Layers Of Fear Last year some of the bold gave Layers Of Fear a chance as it hit Steam in way of an Early Access. Usually these don't amount to much and given the failure that Bloober Team suffered not long before that with Basement Crawl not many people wanted to go through the horror of another terrible game. Then it was shown to have some great promise and Aspyr Media chose to foot the bill and give the developer another chance at greatness. It has since been claimed to be like other great horror titles out there but did they hit the mark with Layers Of Fear or is it just another jump scare into mediocrity? Read More...

Review — Hitman: Agent 47 [Blu-Ray]
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 5th of January 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Hitman: Agent 47 Hitman: Agent 47 has recently hit the small screens of home with new content. We had a chance to sit down and break the film down piece by piece. Here is our review of Hitman: Agent 47 Here we go with yet another film based on a video game here with Hitman: Agent 47. Originally it released in theaters on August 21st of 2015 but the home version of the film has finally been released and I had a chance to sit back and take in this rendition of Io Interactive's Hitman franchise. The previous installment wasn't accepted greatly by the fans of the video game but Hitman: Agent 47 looks like it gets a few things right from the onset. But looks can be deceiving. Read More...

Review — Amplitude
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 29th of December 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
Amplitude We sit down and review Amplitude. It's been 12 years in the re-making so there is a lot to live up to. Did they do it? Here's our review of Amplitude It is hard to believe that Amplitude originally came out back in 2003. It truly doesn't seem like that long ago but none the less Harmonix has come together again, with the help of a successful Kickstarter, to bring Amplitude off of the PS2 and onto the PS3 and PS4 for the new generation. This isn't just a port but a true remake of Amplitude. Of course fans of the game have a lot of expectations here and now is the time to dig in and see if they were met. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 12/21/15 — 12/23/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 24th of December 2015 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Another short week in video games but it was a bit hardier than we have had in Christmases past. Usually this time is filled with all kinds of fluff and filler for our precious video games but there were so many little tidbits revealed and shared for our video games that it was fruitful. Granted some were on the sad side like the Uncharted 4 delay but then there were others like the Kingdom Hearts 3 gameplay and additions coming to Dying Light and Black Ops 3. We were even able to crank out a few of those promised reviews into the mix as well. Read More...

Here's Our Review Of Among The Sleep Among The Sleep originally released back on May 29th 2014 for Windows, Linux, and Mac but now it is time for the consoles to have a chance to give the game a good go. For those who don't know what Among The Sleep is, it is a survival horror style game where you take on the role of a toddler instead of some bad ass cop or space marine. All developed by Krillbite Studio and now Among The Sleep has made the leap over to the PS4 and we had a chance to give the game a whirl. Read More...

Review — Just Cause 3
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of December 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
Just Cause 3 We Sit Down And Review Just Cause 3. There Has Been A Lot Of Hype & Other Sandbox Games But Does This One Take The Cake? Here's Our Review Of Just Cause 3 We all wanted the madness of Just Cause 3 or just another entry to the franchise and now we have it. In a sea of sandbox titles this year who doesn't need another one right? At least Just Cause 3 has a nice little franchise history of doing things right to piggy back on. That also means that Avalanche Studios has a lot to live up to in terms of not only gameplay but also an amazing narrative to go hand in hand with it. Read More...
