Well it looks like the boasting of how difficult pitching a perfect game is in 2K's MLB 2K10 just cost them a million clams, or dollars if you are not hip. How is that? Through a competition they were hosting where they tempted fans and players of MLB 2K10 to prove they could pitch a perfect game. Dead to Rights: Retribution is a third person action title following vice cop Jack Slate and his groin-ravaging, canine companion Shadow as they uncover the seedier threats that are rising against an already seedy Grant City. Essentially, it is a re-imagining of the franchise that began with very basic, but very fun run and gun gameplay with a hint of John Woo-style dramatics. The sequel to the original, Dead to Rights II: Hell to Pay, moved the series from all the aforementioned positives into an area of monotony and outright brokenness. Super Street Fighter IV is definitely a great value at $40, especially for people who didn't pick up the original. Aside from everything originally included with IV, Super also includes a handful of new characters, new stages, new music and updated online play. This includes some new modes and features that fans have been wanting for over a year now. A new roster update comprises of a nice selection of characters from various series in the Street Fighter universe, as well as two new ones exclusive to Super. Juri is a welcome addition with a quickness that many other characters are lacking, and Hakan is a grappler covered in oil that brings more depth to his style of character. Read More...

Last week we were lucky enough to sit in on the developer call for Iron Man 2: The Videogame. During the call, it was asked about further enemies and heroes to be shown in the game. Now it is on, 505 Games and Naughty Bear. Not once or twice, but thrice now have you plagiarized a rule from the book "How To Be More Like Hades™" and I won't stand for it. This is the exact steps in Chapter 8, Communication. The chapter that has Rule #562 titled the same as your rule #162, "Smoke Signals." Well now that the film has come and still kind of around in theaters, some of these screen shots (below) for Namco's video game version of the game have begun to make a little more sense. Although there were still no frog people in the film, some of the updated and altered creatures and scenes fit in a little better. This is quite possibly the most miraculous announcement coming out of Captivate '10. Sure, there was that other little game that apparently was a big deal, but for me it's all about the return of Rad Spencer and some of the guys from GRIN, albeit under a different studio name. Fat Shark Games will be keeping Rearmed 2 true to the original, though some new things will be thrown into the mix, including jumping and more physics-based puzzles. Simon Viklund, who did the music for Bionic Commando: Rearmed and Final Fight: Double Impact will be returning to do the score as well, which is very exciting to hear. At first I thought this was a joke. A very clever and well constructed joke. This is one of those instances where I am incredibly pleased to report that this is no joke. The third game in the combo-laden fighting game series, Marvel vs Capcom, is coming to PlayStation 3 and the XBox 360 in 2011. The game, which is already said to feature Wolverine, Spider-Man, The Hulk, Magneto, Storm (and from the looks of the trailer, Ryu, Morrigan, and Chris Redfield), seems to draw an aritstic style closer to the most recent iteration of the Street Fighter series. Some art from a teaser poster also seems to reveal a few other characters. Now, the battle between Wolverine and Ryu is more than enough to get my attention, especially considering the art aesthetic of the game. Read More...
