In mathematics, singularity theory is the study of the failure of manifold structure (yes, that is taken from wikipedia). In the game Singularity, something definitely failed, and while I'm not sure what a manifold structure is, it sounded like a cool sentence to start off with. All this aside, Raven Software's Singularity looks like one of the best shooters coming out this year.
