Now here is an interesting twist that could occur with the upcoming Batman: Arkham City, co-op play with the Clown Prince of Crime! At least from a video that seems to have been leaked out through a few European websites that shows just that. With less than 24 hours until the latest Rift Beta ends, Trion Worlds releases its latest three minute cinematic trailer and it looks great. If you haven't heard about Rift yet this is the latest MMO from Trion Worlds coming out March 1st 2011. Rift pits the religion vs. technology in an epic war between two factions, the Guardians and the Defiants. Now we've seen that formula more than once but the kicker here is while you're busy fighting each other another war wages on from the skies as Rifts randomly open around the world and dump big baddies all over the ground to make your life miserable. Rockstar Games just released a new game play trailer for their upcoming title, L.A. Noire. Oh and the release date of May 17th here in the US. Well here's an interesting little tidbit of news. Any gamer that purchases Portal 2 on the PlayStation 3 will get FREE access to play the game from their Steam client. Think like a digital copy that comes with most BluRay films nowadays. Oh, but wait, there is more. Not only do you get a "free" copy of the game for PC, and technically Mac, but the two systems will be able to communicate with each other to allow for co-op play between the PS3 and PC/Mac. Probably the coolest thing I saw this week was a video presentation for World of Starcraft! Ok, so I might have to eat my previous words about the reboot for Tomb Raider. I may have been a bit quick to judge but in my defense that was back before anything real or tangible had been seen. I mean all we had was a rather unimpressive description of the story. Well now we have a good look at the new vision that Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix are taking the game. At last year's CES we were introduced to a product called Sixense. It was a motion controller being made by one of the smaller companies Razor had under its wing. Sixense was a really cool device with A LOT of potential, but nothing seems to have happened over the last year. Well at least nothing all too public. So the beta for DCUO came and went. We were lucky enough to be part of that whole experience. Well now the full version of DC Universe Online is ready for you to pick up or download depending on your preferred platform to play. To celebrate that fact, as is usual, there is a new trailer to show off for the game and to help promote it. CES is generally not known for the game developers rocking out their new products and IPs. That is what E3 is for and we all know that. Capcom likes to break the mold and show up in force every year just to spread a bit more of the word on all of their upcoming titles. So here we are a week out from the launch of DC Universe Online and considerable time has been spent tweaking and fixing bugs in the beta, both on PC and PS3. I had the chance to be a part of the beta, along with all of you PSPlus subscribers or those lucky to have swagged a code to get in. Blizzard's World of Warcraft is the current definitive MMO. With six years of collected content, twelve million players, and three expansions, it doesn't look like WoW is going anywhere soon. Blizzard had built an empire, but to strengthen the empire's walls, it would have to rebuild itself from the inside out. For the past six years, in order for a player to reach the cap level of 80, players had to grind through some of the most grueling quests we've seen since Everquest.
