A new promotional series for Fallout 4 has begun to show us how we are S.P.E.C.I.A.L. in the game starting with the Strength attribute we will need to survive in Fallout 4
Since we had a look at where Fallout 4 will be heading after it launches on November 10th on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC yesterday I guess it is high time we start to look at some of the mechanics we will employ in the core version of the game. With that we have Bethesda's new video series aimed to show us all how we are S.P.E.C.I.A.L. in Fallout 4. If you've played Fallout Shelter recently then you know that is the acronym for all of the character's stats. Those being Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck respectfully. You should have known that already though.
The first attribute up for Fallout 4 here is obviously Strength as I am sure Bethesda is going to just move down the list here. While we don't get any real gameplay showing off how you can build your strength, outside of the normal ways, we do get a fun look at what it will let you do in Fallout 4. Outside of damage it looks to drive the same mechanics that you can pretty much assume to be the case. Pretty much how much you can carry and what you can ultimately craft in Fallout 4. Pretty much the easy assumptions. Even with the addition of gear and add-ons that will help boost that score.
If there was more to say about it all here we would have it but this is pretty much just a promotional thing for Fallout 4 with little game substance to add to. If you are looking for a bit of fun and humor to remind you that Fallout 4 is still coming then you will have a blast with it. I am guessing the future "episodes" will be coming in short order as well. None the less do enjoy it if you want to watch it.
Fallout 4 — S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
Are you all that shocked by Fallout 4 having the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats in the game? Were you expecting the Strength attribute to drive more than what we see here in the video? Do you think we saw most of what it will drive in gameplay mechanics or do you think Bethesda has a few more little tricks hidden in there? Let us know and discuss in the comments. Seeing as we have presumable six more of these coming be sure to keep checking back in for more on Fallout 4 and hopefully these little videos will shed more light on the actual mechanics we will be playing with in the game. They have to don't they?
