There is a new Assassin's Creed fan site that not only is allowing you to interact with the developers but can also grant you access to special Assassin's Creed stuff
Just in case you needed one more social site to keep you engaged with Assassin's Creed it looks like we get one more. This time in the form of Assassin's Creed Council that is kind of like a social sharing site that Ubisoft has set up for all fans of the franchise to share on. If you were thinking this is for Assassin's Creed Syndicate then you would be mistaken as that game already has its own site set up for fans to engage with and earn points toward in game items to add to your PS4, Xbox One, or PC experience that is coming here soon. Get it straight Assassin's Creed fans.
What this new site is about is letting everyone with access to the internet have a chance to talk to others who are fans of Assassin's Creed, share stories, talk to the devs a bit, share fan art, earn points, share game ideas, and maybe be able to gain access to special events just for Master Assassins. This is where the points come in as you gain arbitrary badges on the site along with said points until you make it to Master Assassin levels of "pointitude." Thirty of those people will be chosen by Ubisoft to come and experience special events for anything Assassin's Creed.
I am guessing that there will be other ways to use the points given the past Assassin's Creed companion sites, apps, and experiences but for now that seem like it. Of course all of this is driven based on your shares and how many people "upvote" your stuff so unpopular fans of Assassin's Creed may be up shit creek while the, let's say gaming whore, will be able to get those fun trips to Ubisoft's studios to help shape the future of Assassin's Creed. You know who I am talking about here. But at least there is a chance for some of you to hit the Master Assassin mark somehow. Then it is just hoping to get selected.
You can sign up and start sharing your Assassin's Creed right here if this sounds like something you want in on. All it takes is an uPlay account and a lot of patients…
Assassin's Creed — Welcome To The Council
What are your thoughts on yet another Assassin's Creed social site? Or should we call it a social experiment? Do we all generate enough Assassin's Creed content to keep this site flowing? Do you think that Ubisoft will be doing the David Copperfield method of selecting those Master Assassins? Let us know and discuss in the comments below. Also feel free to share this bit of Assassin's Creed stuff to gain fame or infamy over on their site there. I am sure it won't hurt too much.
