We've Boosted Some New Assassin's Creed Unity Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Ubisoft has released a new gameplay video for Assassin's Creed Unity showing off the Heist Co-op mode Before when I made comments on Assassin's Creed Unity looking more Thief-like by the day, I was just goofing around. With the latest gameplay video for Assassin's Creed Unity it looks like I am more and more on par; the most recent video of course covering the new Heist Co-op play mode for the game. This makes it so you no longer need to be assassin's but are rewarded on how much better a thief you are than a killer. The bigger difference is that in Assassin's Creed Unity it looks like Ubisoft nailed the gameplay mechanics that were lacking in other's titles… Unlike the game that will no longer be mentioned, Assassin's Creed Unity's heist mode will pit players to traverse areas to attempt to steal some item from said area. Looks Like We Are Getting One More Assassin's Creed Title This Year
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Ubisoft has just announced a new collection of titles for the Assassin's Creed franchise titled the Birth Of A New World - The American Saga launch before the newer titles Just in case you didn't think you were going to get enough Assassin's Creed this year with Unity and Rogue launching in November it looks like there is another set of titles coming just weeks before the one-two punch of those titles. All on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC at that. This new addition to the franchise is Assassin's Creed: Birth Of A New World — The American Saga although it really isn't a fully new addition to the universe but a way to get caught up on all the lore and events leading up to Rogue/Unity. We've Hunted Down Some New Assassin's Creed Rogue Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of September 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Ubisoft has released a new gameplay trailer for Assassin's Creed Rogue and it looks like Shay has some work cut out for him We had a few images for Assassin's Creed Rogue yesterday and now it looks like we have a bit more gameplay to show in video form. Not only has a bit of gameplay but it looks like a bit more of the game's story has been mixed into the footage as well. Granted it isn't much more than we already know but one thing it does seem to stress upon is that Shay will be hunted just as he is hunting down the assassin's in Assassin's Creed Rogue. This no begs the question of how all of this will play together in the final product and story here. Read More...

Time To Get Our Assassin On With Styx: Master Of Shadows
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Styx: Master Of Shadows shows off the assassin gameplay as well as hints to a release date Up until now Styx: Master Of Shadows has been shown off as a stealth and Thief-like title but now it looks like there is a bit of Assassin's Creed brought into the mix with the latest gameplay trailer. This is a little bit of a shock to me as up until now it has been shown that Styx cannot handle multiple enemies and needs to stick to tricks and sneak attacks. I'll take it none the less as this looks to add yet another manner of gameplay to Styx: Master Of Shadows for all those out there who don't have the patience to take things slow and stealthy. Here Are The Ins And Outs Of Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare's Multiplayer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
All of the basics of Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare's multiplayer are explained in the most recent trailer released from Sledgehammer and Activision Last month Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare's multiplayer was shown off to the public during the Gamescom event. Everyone had nothing but amazing things to say about what was shown even though it was only the tip of the iceberg, so to say. Obviously be who we all are we want to see more of the gameplay, modes, customization, and kills coming in the next Call Of Duty. The next bit of wait time is over now as we have a nice long look at the multiplayer just a bit lower down the page. Read More...

Looks Like The BS Meter Is Brought Out For Sunset Overdrive
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 26th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
We get another fun look behind the scenes of Sunset Overdrive and learn nothing we didn't already know about the game If you are looking for more news and information on Sunset Overdrive then you have come to the right place. Unfortunately we don't have anything as of right now. That is at least if you don't care about hearing the same descriptions of Sunset Overdrive over and over from Insomniac Games and the whole press crew trying to pimp out the title. You would think for another of those Xbox One exclusive titles they would be flooding the market with news and awesomeness for the game but it looks like all we are getting is a whole bunch more to let the BS Meter go off with an annoying buzz again. Just a bit lower you can see the latest "behind the scenes" video for Sunset Overdrive. Read More...

There Is A New FAQ To Try And Quell the Rise Of The Tomb Raider Exclusivity
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 25th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Over the weekend there was a new FAQ posted to the official Rise Of The Tomb Raider Tumblr to try and explain what is going on with the platform exclusivity A few weeks back there was a huge stir as to if Rise Of The Tomb Raider was ever going to see the light of day on anything other than the Xbox One or Xbox 360 come the holiday season of 2015. The announcement of everything sure made it sound like it was not in the books at all that we would get to see the Tomb Raider again on the PS3, PS4, or PC. At least in the guise of the amazing reboot that Crystal Dynamics has already given all of the platforms out there. Read More...

It's Time To See What The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Is All About
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 22nd of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new bit of gameplay for The Vanishing of Ethan Carter has been released showing off some of the core mechanics and story of the game When I first heard about The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter I kind of let it fall a bit to the side of the metaphoric video game road. I didn't disregard the game completely but with the little description I was given it just wasn't something that caught my eye and sucked me in. That was at least until we got some new gameplay footage for The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter and got to fully see what we will be doing on our PCs and PS4s in the coming months. Sooner on the PC but that is a whole other discussion. Read More...

See All The Haunted House Jump Scares Of Bloodborne From Gamescom
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A new gameplay video for Bloodborne has been released and it shows off the combat and odd AI for the game Just like the Wild Hunt gameplay I spoke about earlier, here we have the same treatment for Bloodborne from Gamescom. It may not be 37 minutes but it is a nice chunk of change that shows off all the gameplay for Bloodborne in action. As well as a bit on that Regain System that was talked about during the convention proper. It shows that and a bit more on what I touched upon when I saw the gameplay at E3 but we'll get to that in a moment. Read More...

It Looks Like Assassin's Creed Unity Is Becoming More Thief-like
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new bit of gameplay for Assassin's Creed Unity has been released from Gamescom and it looks like there is more stealth action included Earlier today we had a look at Assassin's Creed Rouge's naval gameplay now we have a look at Assassin's Creed Unity and its new features to the franchise. In this case it looks like there are more and more features that are turning Assassin's Creed Unity into what looks like a Thief mod for the franchise. At least since there are new stealth modes, the need to pick pockets, and also pick locks. All things that make sense for Assassin's Creed Unity but just feel like more mechanics added just to be added. Read More...

Let's Regain Some Perspective On The Combat System Of Bloodborne
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
Not only was there a new trailer for Bloodborne out of Gamescom but some new information on the combat system and how it differs from other IPs When I first saw Bloodborne at E3 I was under-impressed with what I saw. Visually Bloodborne looked spectacular but as far as gameplay and combat went it looked nothing like the announcement trailer or other bits of CGI that was being shown. What I was expecting was fast paced and not along the lines of Demon's Souls' kind of combat for this PS4 title. Luckily there was a bit more of an explanation for Bloodborne at Gamescom here recently and it is starting to make more sense now. Read More...

Naval Combat Makes A Huge Return In Assassin's Creed Rogue
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 15th of August 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Two new gameplay demos for Assassin's Creed Rogue have been released and show off the new and upgraded features of naval combat So it looks like Assassin's Creed Rogue is coming out strong at Gamescom here and with its imminent release date approaching the dev team took time to show off the new and improved naval combat system for the game. This was an amazing feature that I thought made its real debut in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag but it looks like Ubisoft is just pushing things further by taking us into uncharted waters, pun intended, with different locations that we can sail in. Below you will find both the videos for River Valley and Arctic locations we will get to sail and kill through. Read More...
