Styx: Shards Of Darkness Adds A Mess Of New Enemies To Hunt Us
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 19th of May 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Styx New screenshots for Styx: Shards Of Darkness have been released and they showcase some of the new dangerous enemies Styx will have to take on or avoid in the game I was pretty sure we were going to have to wait until E3 to get more on Styx: Shards Of Darkness but it looks like we don't have to. Of course that is where the bulk of what Cyanide Studios has to offer us will be shown but at least for now it looks like we are getting a small update. In this case it is a few new screenshots for the game as well as some descriptions of the horrible monsters and enemy factions that Styx will have to kill or avoid along the way to his next big score. This Week In Video Games 5/9/16 — 5/13/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of May 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games This was a slower week in video games but we made it through. Of course I chalk all of this up to it being Friday the 13th week as well as it being filled with a whole lot of game releases. But of course we also did get a lot of Mafia 3 news out there as well as some Hellblade and of course it wouldn't have been a solid week in video games without the Friday The 13: The Game updates. You know it had to have some solid stuff this week and of course it did. I have a feeling that next week may just about the same in the lighter side of news of video games. Read More...

Call Of Cthulhu Takes Us On A Trip To Darkwater Island
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 13th of May 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Call Of Cthulhu A few new screenshots for Call Of Cthulhu have been released as well as a great overview of what Call Of Cthulhu's story is going to be all about It looks like some new Call Of Cthulhu tidbits have crawled out of the abyss here and is ready to show us just a bit more on what the game will be all about. Updates have been very sparse since Cyanide Studios took over for the title and it looks like it is going to stay that way for just a bit longer. Unless Focus Home Interactive has some huge plans out there to shock and awe. Read More...

Dead Island The first trailer for Dead Island Retro Revenge has been released and shows us that little extra we'll be getting in the Dead Island Definitive Collection If Dead Island Retro Revenge doesn't sound overly familiar then you may not have been paying attention to the latest Definite Collection that has been announced. That would be one for the titular franchise that Deep Silver is having all polished up for us and releasing on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 31st. You know, the Dead Island Definitive Collection and all. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of May 2016 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Such an amazing week in video games this one has been. We started off with the announcement of a new Call Of Duty title and then ended with the announcement of Battlefield 1. All with a bit of Dishonored 2 mixed in and the start of the mad rush to get all of these reviews out to you all. We need an extra 30 hours to get to all the video games this week and even then I don't think we would have enough time. We are not even in any kind of convention season so we can only imagine how crazy all of that will be. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of May 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead We sit down and review The Walking Dead: Michonne — What We Deserve. This is the final episode of Telltale's take on one of The Walking Dead's fan favorite characters. Here's our review on how they did Here we go as The Walking Dead: Michonne has come to an end and the story arc of one of the fan favorite characters has been fleshed out even more. Telltale Games set out to tell us a great story and fill in a rather sizable gap in the character's story from the comic books. It was over a year gap for the comic book readers and much longer for all of those in The Walking Dead universe. Read More...

Review — Minecraft: Story Mode — Order Up
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 5th of May 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Minecraft We Sit Down And Review Minecraft: Story Mode — Order Up. This Is The Fifth Episode Of Telltale's Take On Mojang's Famed Franchise. Here's Our Review On How They Did Normally this would be the final end-cap on the season for Minecraft: Story Mode but as it turns out we still have three more episodes to go before season one officially ends. Yes, Telltale Games is taking this whole story into an eight part thing instead of the traditional five. I guess there is a lot to tell for Mojang's title that has never had a story before. New Dead Facts & Visual Updates For The Dead Island Definitive Collection
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 3rd of May 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
Dead Island Some new bits of gameplay for the Dead Island Definitive Collection have been shown off and it shows the great visual upgrades for Dead Island and Riptide that we will get to experience soon We've had some nice new screenshots for the Dead Island Definitive Collection to see just how the upgrades have come along for the game but now it's time to see it all in practice. That is to say that we have some new gameplay footage for the remastered titles to spy upon here from Deep Silver to get us all pumped up for the games inside to land on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC this May 31st. Hopefully just in time to get us all settled and ready for a possible Dead Island 2 update of some sorts but that could still be a bit of a ways off…sadly… Of course this isn't much of a how to play the game kind of trailer but more of an accolades trailer to show off why we need to pick up the Dead Island Definitive Collection but at least there is a fair amount of gameplay with the high resolution textures and characters running around. Review — JettyCat Towers (Mobile)
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Friday, 29th of April 2016 - 09:00 PM ]
JettyCat Towers Going up with JettyCat the cool cat with a jetpack in JettyCat Towers JettyCat Towers is a mobile game developed by Andrej Preradovic of Ohsat Games. JettyCat looks very nice. I feel like he will make a good mobile game mascot being a very cute cat with a jetpack. The game has thirty levels divided up into three towers; with the third tower being a master challenge that requires you to collect 170 coins scattered across the past two towers. The controls are simple: tap left to go left, tap right to go right, and hold both to go straight. The first tower consists of rooms that have salmon colored walls and yellow block backgrounds. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided's Adam Has More Augments Than The CE For The Game
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 28th of April 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
Deus Ex Another trailer for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has released showing off a few new secrets of the game alongside the official Deus Ex Collector’s Edition The last we heard on Deus Ex: Mankind Divided was that the game was delayed until August 23rd of this year and it was a sad day. Today we get a whole bunch of updates from Eidos-Montreal for the game as well as a nice new look at the Collector's Edition that Square Enix is going to bundle up and ship out to us all for the pretty standard price. Are you as glad as I am that we have new Deus Ex news that isn't bad for once? Although it does err on the side of a little bit of confusing in name more than anything. Read More...

Prepare For More Zombies As The Dead Island Definitive Collection Is Coming
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of April 2016 - 07:00 PM ]
Dead Island New screenshots for the Dead Island Definitive Collection have dropped showing off how the upgrades to Dead Island and Riptide are looking for us Just over a month now and the Dead Island Definitive Collection will be releasing on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC for all of those who missed out before to give the games that put Techland on the map a go. I'm not talking in any kind of backwards capability form either as Deep Silver has footed the bill to get the two big titles to play natively. That would be Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide for those who have become lost in all of the hullabaloo up until now. Read More...

The Walking Dead Season 3 Is Looking To Bring More Of The Comic In
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of April 2016 - 05:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead As The Walking Dead: Michonne wraps up it looks like new tidbits of The Walking Dead's third season are coming out and we may be seeing more of the comic in the game As The Walking Dead: Michonne has just come to a close and we settle in to either play it all or take in everything that happened it looks like those kinds of plans are nowhere on Telltale Games' mind. We all know that we are getting a third season to the game that kicked it all off but now we are getting a few more things to chew on for it. At least as Robert Kirkman states in the most recent interview about the addition to the Michonne story of The Walking Dead's comic series but he also had some extra words on things for the next major season we will be getting.
