Metro Exodus Is Now Releasing Earlier Than Expected
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 13th of December 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Metro Exodus Gold status has hit Metro Exodus and with that comes a few release date changes bringing the launch of Metro Exodus closer than expected The release date for Metro Exodus has been shifted again, but in this instance, it is a good thing. At least for those who have been waiting to get their hands on the latest from 4A Games. The game has finally gone gold and it will be hitting the PS4, Xbox One, and PC a week earlier than expected. Now we will be able to start playing Metro Exodus on February 15th of 2019 instead of February 22nd as we were told by Deep Silver the last time we had a release date to go for the game. Read More...

Spider-Man’s Final Chapter Is Just About To Strike
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 13th of December 2018 - 06:00 PM ]
Spider-Man The third and final DLC for Spider-Man has a release date and it looks like even more Spider-Man suits are coming our way for cross-promotion It has been one hells of a run for Spider-Man on the PS4 so far and it is all coming to an end. At least in terms of DLC as the third and final bit is dropping out there on December 21st now. Unless Insomniac Games has more for us hidden away for a surprise, this will be the end of the cycle as we wait for there to be the most likely sequel. For that, it feels like the team just has to have the want to do it and a new Spider-Man title will be greenlit. Read More...

Go Back In Time With New Gameplay For Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 11th of December 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Ancestors A plethora of new gameplay is here for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey so you can see just how the game has evolved to the Ancestors we have now Finally we have some of the first real gameplay to look at here for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey all fresh from The Game Awards. Sure, we have had some nice little teases from Panache Digital Games in the past with some screenshots, but that is not true gameplay. Given that this is a huge deviation of gameplay style for the creative director of some Assassin’s Creed, there is a lot riding on Ancestors before it hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. In terms of reputation more than anything as this is a deviation from what we know. Read More...

Try To Defy The God Of The Underworld In Hades
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 10th of December 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Hades A new rogue-like dungeon crawler, Hades, is announced and challenges you to escape the Underworld that Hades lords over Going down the list of new games announced during The Game Award again, we have another rogue-like dungeon crawler to add into the mix called Hades. Wait, what? Yes, it looks like someone has gone and worked on a game all about the big guy and that someone would be Supergiant Games. Awesome. That is unless you are looking for something that is accurate to the source material that the God of the Underworld is actually from. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 12/3/18 — 12/7/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 8th of December 2018 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Yet another week in the bag for all of our favorite video games out there. This was a big one as it started off the wrap up for this year as we had The Game Awards yet again and it brought a whole lot of other fun into our lives as well. Nothing in terms of Resident Evil 2 as we had the rest of the week, but we did get to see that Mortal Kombat 11 is officially coming and coming real soon. We also had a chance to get our review out there for Arca’s Path in the mix of all of those other updates for our favorite or anticipated video games. Read More...

The Game Awards Join us as we watch The Game Awards for 2018 and see just which video games were thought the best and earned their place in The Game Awards The big night is here again and it is time to dive into The Game Awards for 2018. It has been one of the better awards shows that we have seen for the video game industry and been going rather strong over the years. All so we can make sure that those developers and designers know that we have loved the entertainment and worlds they have pumped out there for us. It is also a night where we get to see multiple other video games announced or updated in the time where things normally slow down. Read More...

The Ghost Ship Decays Even More For Man Of Medan
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of December 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Man Of Medan The second part of the Man Of Medan developer diary is here to go further into the decay we will experience in the ghost ship of Man Of Medan We are back with more for Man Of Medan as the second part of the developer diary on the Ghost Ship has been dropped out there. Last time we had a chance to see how Supermassive Games took inspiration and audio to craft a horrifying location, now we get to see just how some of it was put to use in the game and other aspects we may not have seen just yet. Specifically as it all comes to the decay and reclamation of the ship that is happening in Man Of Medan. The reclamation being that of nature and the sea and what happens to large hunks of metal when left out there for too long. Read More...

Last Year: The Nightmare Will Be Stalking Us Real Soon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 4th of December 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Last Year The release date for Last Year: The Nightmare is now set and it looks like console gamers will be able to play Last Year: The Nightmare next year It looks like Elastic Games was pushing things right up to the end to make sure they hit that Fall release for Last Year: The Nightmare via Discord on the PC. I say this as we now have a release date for the game and it falls just shy of the actual change from Fall to Winter as it is now December 18th for all of those who are looking for another one versus many styles of video games out there. This could be the right time for Last Year, though, as it could be working its way out into the wake of all of the others in the gameplay genre that has fallen flat or completely away too many other reasons. Walk Around The Ghost Ship Of The Dark Pictures’ Man Of Medan
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of November 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Man Of Medan A new developer diary for Man Of Medan is here to take us on a bit of a tour of the ghost ship we will be exploring in Man Of Medan There is no doubt that Man Of Medan has already looked like a dark and horrific experience we will all be having. All in the best of ways, but it is shaping up to be one of the dark horror film-like video games I have seen to date on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Given the work we have seen from Supermassive Games in the past, it is not a huge surprise there. That is why it is always nice to see behind the curtain of how they make their games and have a new behind-the-scenes video for Man Of Medan to build us up and get excited for this new anthology called The Dark Pictures. Meet A Few More Of The Sins Just Before The Launch Of Darksiders III
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 26th of November 2018 - 08:00 PM ]
Darksiders On the verge of the release of Darksiders III, we have a look at more of the bosses we will be facing in Darksiders III with a few more of their tricks November 27th will mark the day that Fury rides on with Darksiders III, but that does not mean we all have to wait to be able to check out more of the game as well as a look at the Seven Sins. That is at least if you want to throw away quite a bit of the parts of the game that should be considered spoilers. I am going to guess that Gunfire Games and THQ Nordic just want us all to see more and ignore that side of things, but do take notice of that before you press on. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 11/19/18 — 11/23/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 24th of November 2018 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Such a great week for video games here, yet again, even with one of the bigger North American holidays going on. Further proof that we should be looking at the industry as a global thing and not a local one. Kind of like how Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus all played out here. Just to name a few of the video games we had a chance to review this week. Read More...

Get Ready To Rampage On A Horse With No Name In Darksiders III
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of November 2018 - 06:00 PM ]
Darksiders We finally have a look at the next horse for Darksiders as well as a new recap on some of the lore just before Darksiders III launches It seemed to take some time but now we have a look at Fury and Rampage for Darksiders III now. Rampage being her horse that she will be riding and having all kinds of fun within the game. I know I was starting to worry that Gunfire Games was going to leave the horse out of the game, but knew it would not actually happen. It would have been odd, for sure, but the black horse is now here and it looks to be a more playful one than we have seen in the past Darksiders titles. Read More...

Review — Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus
by Chris Avila [ Thursday, 22nd of November 2018 - 10:00 PM ]
Mechanicus We sit down and review Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus. A new 40K RTS game with some weird choices. Here is our review of Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus Launching onto Steam like the ever-increasing swarm that is the Warhammer franchise, Mechanicus tries to head in a different direction than previous titles. Focusing on the often background relegated computer nerds and mechanics of the Imperium, the Adeptus Mechanicum seems like a strange move. They do not really fight, they are the ones that build the spaceships and design weapons for the Imperium at large but never as frontline fighters. Read More...
