SDCC Experience — The Walking Dead Escape 2015
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 23rd of July 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead Escape Was Back At SDCC Giving All Of Us A Feel For What A Survival Horror Game Really Feels Like Another SDCC down and another fun run of The Walking Dead Escape to show us all how a survival horror kind of game could be like in the real world. If this is your first time reading about The Walking Dead Escape this would be the zombie obstacle course that has been set up out in San Diego's Petco Park for the fourth year running. Pun intended. The quick breakdown, if you don't want to read our original write up, is that you get grouped together with a small group of other "Runners" and then set loose to get from one end of a set up obstacle course to the other all while a group of other paid participants dressed as the "Walkers" try to corner you and end your life. Hidden Gems In Batman: Arkham Knight Uncovered Based On Dates Again
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of July 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
A new event and Easter Egg in Batman: Arkham Knight has been discovered although you might want to skip if you want to keep your Batman: Arkham Knight experience spoiler free It really is no surprise that Batman: Arkham Knight has at least one interesting "Easter Egg" that is all based on the current date of the system you are playing on. I mean, Rocksteady Games made it a trophy in their last title in the franchise so it would be safe to assume that something would have to be added in for Arkham Knight right? Even if Calendar Man isn't one of the big bad villains in this game. Read More...

We May Have A Release Date For The Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 22nd of July 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
According to Amazon we now have a release date for Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition as well as how much we will be paying for the HD version of Darksiders 2 and its DLC It looks like we now have a release date for the Darksiders 2: The Deathinitive Edition; at least if you want to take what Amazon currently has listed completely to heart. It's not like they were wrong before when they posted all of the other HD versions of Nordic Games' properties were coming. They did hit the head pretty well on the Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition so I'll take it. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 7/13/15 — 7/17/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of July 2015 - 11:10 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games It's been an intense last few weeks in video games and the news and I'm sorry we've missed a few recaps for the week. I blame E3 and SDCC for being so closely crammed together and there being so many new video games and experiences to have to cover. We are small but we are mighty when it comes to covering our video games. If we weren't you wouldn't have had those track listings for both Rock Band 4 and Guitar Hero Live to go through here. Flow Through History With Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of July 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
Our first look at Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey even though it has been talked about for a few months now and we feel bad Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey wasn't on the radar I always feel lost and late to the game when little things like Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey falls through the cracks in the mix of other huge titles talked about and released. You most likely missed out on this as well given the fact that there wasn't more than a base concept talked about from developer Panache Digital Games. That and when not many things are fully shown or talked about Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey in a word of required visuals it slips very easily. Read More...

Dreams Can Come True As Dream Has A Launch Date Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 17th of July 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
Indie game Dream now has a release date after two long years of being up on Steam Early Access bringing the developer’s dream of Dream being a reality to life It looks like dreams can come true as the narrative indie game Dream has an official release date and it is July 31st. This may not seem like a huge deal as it is a smaller title but for Hypersloth Games this is a huge success as they have been trying to get things official for almost two years now. Now Dream is becoming a reality and available for all of those PC gamers out there who are interested in giving this mind-bending adventure title a go. Think of it like diving into the mind of a not-so-mad-man where you will have to overcome the nightmares and dreams he is having. Read More...

See A Small Bit Of The Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection In Action
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of July 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
A new video of the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection version of Uncharted 2 in action has been released for us to see why we need to buy this package Because we are an impatient bunch and need to see something from the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection months before it lands on the PS4 we have some new and improved gameplay from Uncharted 2 from said collection. Now we can all see if outsourcing the upgrades and conversions to Bluepoint Games is going to pay off when all is said and done. You know, because we can't expect Naughty Dog to do it while they are slaving away on Uncharted 4 and the ever so rumored The Last Of Us 2. Read More...

The Undead Finally Come In Game Of Thrones — Ep. 5: A Nest Of Vipers
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 16th of July 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Game Of Thrones has been released as well as the release date for Game Of Thrones — Episode 5: 'A Nest Of Vipers' That seemed like the shortest wait ever for the new episode of Game Of Thrones here as it looks like episode 5, A Nest Of Vipers, is releasing net week on all of the platforms the game is on. Of course this means that the PC, Mac, PS3, and PS4 version will be July 21st (Amazing day) and the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions on July 22nd. All of which in normal Telltale Games manner. More Until Dawn Screenshots To Tide Our Teenage Bloodlust
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 15th of July 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
A few more screenshots for Until Dawn have been released for all of the news outlets not lucky enough to play the alpha build of Until Dawn It looks like preview builds for Until Dawn have been making the rounds to all of the outlets that sell their services so they can help promote a game that isn't getting much backing from the publisher as it would seem. This of course means that the rest of us get some nice new screenshots for Until Dawn fresh from what Supermassive Games wants to share with us so as not to spoil anything. That would be a great letdown for Until Dawn if we spoiled all of the great PS4 horror fun before it launched on August 25th wouldn't it? Read More...

Guitar Hero Live Gets Ten More Tracks & A Pre-Order Incentive
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 14th of July 2015 - 07:03 PM ]
Ten more tracks are added to the ever growing list of Guitar Hero Live songs and now there is also a pre-order incentive for those who want to secure Guitar Hero Live before launch Because we all know that we need a solid Guitar Hero Live set-list to work with it looks like we have ten more tracks to add to the list of songs we can rock out to on October 20th. FreeStyleGames has their work cut out for them to do this but as long as they keep the tunes flowing for Guitar Hero Live I doubt anyone will take up issue unless the controllers begin failing out of the box. I don't think that would be their issue and more Activision's but still… None the less we have ten more tracks listed out for us all when Guitar Hero Live launches and we have that wonderful list just a bit further down for you to look at and listen to the tracks in question. During the Heroes Reborn panel at SDCC it was announced that Heroes Reborn will be getting two new video games to go along with the show If you are all hyped up for Heroes Reborn to hit the small screens again in September then you should be even more hyped as we are also getting two new video games based around Heroes Reborn as well. Journey Is Making The Leap To PS4 On July 21
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of July 2015 - 06:59 PM ]
A new look for Journey as well as the PS4 release date have been shared so we can all experience the fun of Journey That wait is almost over as Journey will be making the final leap onto the PS4 here on July 21st. No messing around with any jibber jabber we just get right into the point here just as ThatGameCompany did with the announcement for the move. It's not the biggest of news as there isn't all too much to add to Journey as a whole but now we will have it on every PlayStation platform available as Journey is fun enough to dictate more play throughs. If you don't want to believe me then give it a go on the PS3 and tell us all otherwise. Read More...

Guitar Hero Live Is Bringing Some Hero Power Into The Mix
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 7th of July 2015 - 07:01 PM ]
Star Power is a thing of the past as Guitar Hero Live brings new Hero Powers to the franchise and we have the details on how they will change Guitar Hero Live We would have been a bit daft to think that Guitar Hero Live wouldn't be bringing back Star Power in some way or another. For those not fully up to snuff on the Guitar Hero lingo that would be the extra boost you get when you tilt the guitar during gameplay. Of course it is making a comeback but it looks like FreeStyleGames is bringing something new into the mix for it in Guitar Hero Live. So not only is Activision pushing a new controller on us but it looks like more new gameplay as well. Read More...

Gauntlet To Start Slaying On PS4 With The Gauntlet: Slayer Edition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 7th of July 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Those who missed out on Gauntlet when it relaunched on PC will now get to play it on the PS4 with the Gauntlet: Slayer Edition I knew it was only a matter of time for the latest Gauntlet title to make it over to the consoles from PC and it looks like the first leap is with Gauntlet: Slayer Edition coming to the PS4. It only took about a year but Arrowhead Game Studio and Warner Bros. has been able to bring the dungeon brawler to a larger audience on August 11th. Read More...

The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter Is Appearing On PS4 Real Soon
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 6th of July 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
Looks like the wait is over as the PS4 version of The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter is slated for a July 15th release date now Hopefully by now all of you reading this know about The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter as it released on PC last year and was well received by many. This would be that amazing looking supernatural adventure title created by The Astronauts that even we spoke highly of back in the day. This was also back when we heard it was being redone in the Unreal 4 engine and also getting a PS4 release scheduled but there was never any word on when after all the great reviews began pouring in for the first release of The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter. All of that changes now. Read More...
