We have eight more eye popping screen shots for Destiny from Bungie and Activision. Did J.J. Abrams take over the game's visual direction? Sure looks that way. I will still admit that I am not completely sold on Destiny yet as many of the developer's fans already are. That said, I cannot deny that it is looking absolutely amazing and my jaw is dropped with almost every new shot. Not as far as The Division just yet but it is getting there with each new batch of visuals or gameplay video. That isn't what sells a game for me though even though it is nice to look at. Here we go with some great news for all of you out there looking forward to Destiny. If you pre-order the game now, and I'm assuming up until spring of 2014, you will gain access to the official beta for the game. The assumption before is based on the fact that this beta is slated for "Early 2014" or "spring 2014" and there would be no need to gain access after said beta has concluded. Either way, if you haven't pre-ordered yet, or if you have, you need to head down and get your beta code so you can get all set up. You most likely saw the Destiny game play footage during the PlayStation event at E3. You also most likely saw my Destiny recording from the Activision booth. Just in case you missed it all of those times, Bungie and Activision have been gracious enough to give us yet another look at the game play of Destiny. If I have to say one thing to start it off, Bungie and Activision kept the ball rolling with Destiny and not hiding anything special behind the closed doors of E3. While yes there was a demo that people stood in line for up to two hours to get a new look at Destiny, for the most part it was exactly what was shown during the Sony press conference at the start of the show. I recently got the chance to sit through the whole 10th Anniversary box set of Red vs Blue. It consists of all 10 seasons of this superb show and to top it off each season has been re-cut into feature length style with no breaks and remastered with surround sound. Sometimes after shows have been around 10 years, as RvB has, it doesn't age well. I can assure you this is not the case here. As I woke up this morning and logged-in to my Twitter account only to find shocking news of the day. If you do not know by now, Bungie has signed a ten year partnership with Activision. Despite everything that is going on with Infinity Ward and Activision, Bungie went ahead and pulled a fast one on everyone. Activision will have exclusive, worldwide rights to publish and distribute all future Bungie games based on their new intellectual property on multiple platforms and device. For you non-hardcore Halo fans out there, you may not have known that the Halo: Reach beta is kicking off in the next week, May 3rd to be exact. Perhaps you did know because of the mighty inter-webs. In either instance, Bungie wanted to ensure that everyone knew that there was a Beta on the way. A new collectors edition as been announced by Bungie for Halo: Reach, which will be available in standard, Limited and Legendary editions when the game launches this fall. Both the Limited edition and the Legendary edition will have content that is based on the fiction of Halo: Reach and the Halo universe. That's right. You read the title right. IGN just posted the video that came along with the cryptic image of Master Chief that appeared yesterday (3/31/10). It wasn't the tease for a new game, but a live action Halo film. Oh yea. It's happening. Words can not sum up the epicness of this video. Attention Halo fans. The World Premiere Trailer for Halo Reach is out. It is also below for you to check out and gaze at what Bungie and Microsoft have in store for you sometime later this year. All in a fully rendered video clip with the following seeming to be the story they wan to tell with this clip: A bunch of space marines, Spartans, are gearing up to go fight some huge alien threat, the Covenant. You could potentially get your hands on the new Firefight mode from one of the most anticipated titles of the year. Bungie, Microsoft, and Gamestop have joined into an unholy alliance and are presenting a Halo 3: ODST Transport vehicle that will be making stops at GameStops all across the US, giving lucky folks a go with the title. Turns out the Europeans are getting Halo Wars nearly a week before North and South America. Halo Wars will release in Japan and Asia on February 26th, in Europe on February 27th and North and South America have to wait till the Third of March Pre-order the game at a participating retailer and you'll get an exclusive in-game Warthog with flame decals, whether you buy the Limited Edition or not. The Bungie countdown has ended, and with it releases a new teaser trailer.  Set in a futuristic city, you are looking through a camera at various areas when pods drop from the sky.  When the cameras are brought back online, you see destruction and damage everywhere. Cut to "Halo 3" and after which the camera itself is hit by a pod, and the video cuts to "Prepare To Drop". New Halo Figures Out From McFarlane Toys They are action figures. In fact they are action figures of one of the most popular games on the Xbox system. McFarlane is also know for having some of the best figurines ever made. I know I have a slew of them in my pad just cause they are so frigging cool to look at. That being said, you can now pick up the set of figures and play out you Halo fantasies like Darth Helmet in Spaceballs.
