Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Well that wraps another great week in video games for us here. All kinds of news and review popped up this week for all of our favorite video games now didn't they? Zombies A new trailer for The Giant bonus map for the Zombies mode for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 was unleashed and looks to continue the original Zombies story even further If you were able to catch the livestream for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 today you may have been treated with a nice little look at the Zombies bonus map called The Giant. If you missed out on Treyarch showing this new map for Zombies mode off then you are also in luck as we have said trailer for the map right here just for you. Darksiders 2 The release trailer for the Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition has been released and now we can see all those upgraded Darksiders 2 visuals in action Next week is the big week as the Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition is going to be released and I couldn't be more excited for this. Up until now we have yet to see any solid gameplay with the updates that Gunfire Games has been able to make to Darksiders 2 so far but now we have a nice long trailer showing off all of those said updates and to get us even more hyped for it to hit the PS4 and Xbox One on October 27th. Such an amazing franchise and I hope the first Darksiders gets the same treatment and we get the ever-sought-after Darksiders 3. Call Of Duty The launch trailer for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 has been released and not only does it show more Call Of Duty gameplay but it hits the right levels of hype for the game Not much longer until we are all killing each other, virtually, in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 now. November 6th really creeped up on us and soon the launch will be on us. In fact I thought it a bit weird that Activision and Treyarch released the launch trailer for the game so soon until I looked at the calendar and saw that it was just about Call Of Duty and that it is right about on time for the releasing of a launch trailer. Black Ops 3 A new gameplay mode for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 has been revealed in the latest livestream and this one adds a full free run mode for all to play in Black Ops 3 As if there wasn't going to be enough to do in Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 with the campaign mode and the multiplayer modes, it looks like Treyarch is adding in yet another mode for all of us to enjoy in the way of Free Run mode. If that sounds a little familiar then you might be thinking of the entire Mirror's Edge gameplay or that of Dying Light. The difference here is that it is more of a "multiplayer mode" than anything for Black Ops 3 which adds yet another to the mix when it launches on November 6th for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. Adrift New gameplay for Adrift has made its way online and it shows off a bit of gameplay and what it feels like in Adrift to run out of oxygen I believe this is the first time we have brought the first-person, interactive fiction game of Adrift up on the site before but that doesn't mean it hasn't been on our radar since it was first announced by Three One Zero. For those who don't know what Adrift is, outside of the genre description before, it is a story game that has us in space experiencing what it may be like for those who want to be up there. I personally blame it all on the releases of the current video games and the news of other major video games like Friday The 13th and Styx that keeps all of the other news as fluff and filler instead of anything solid. I mean we do have Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3, Halo 5, and Fallout 4 releasing as well but when we have other great titles out there already why waste the shelf space now for when we can wait until there is nothing else in the limelight? Resident Evil A new CGI feature film for the Resident Evil has been slated for a 2017 release to make sure we are all inundated in Resident Evil lore All because we didn't ask for it directly it looks like we are getting another Resident Evil film. Another one that isn't part of the live action films and of the CGI persuasion as Capcom has given us in the years past. This animated film goes above and beyond that part of the Resident Evil franchise and will be the third of its kind in this aspect. Tales From The Borderlands The season finale trailer for Tales From The Borderlands has been released with all of the accolades and sneak peeks at Tales From The Borderlands' last episode in the season As with all good things like Tales From The Borderlands' first season, they have to come to an end at some point. It's even more depressing when it has to happen when Telltale Games dis such an amazing job of bringing Gearbox Software's franchise to perfect life in their storytelling medium with Tales From The Borderlands. Overwatch The Overwatch closed beta has now been dated and the process that players will be able to help shape Overwatch has been detailed out a bit more We've seen all the heroes and villains of Overwatch in action and now it is time to play them and help tweak them with the announced beta for the game. There had been no date set by Blizzard for said beta up until now. Styx Following the great reception for the Styx franchise from last year, we have the sequel Styx: Shards Of Darkness getting an announcement today It looks like that amazing little stealth game Styx: Master Of Shadows was as great of a success as I know I was hoping for that we are getting a sequel called Styx: Shards Of Darkness.
