Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy Takes Us Back Before The Plague Even Started
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 10th of June 2025 - 05:00 PM ]
A Plague Tale A new chapter for A Plague Tale is on the way with the recent announcement of Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy If you thought the run of this IP might be over after the last title, then you are in for a treat with the announcement we have for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. Another in the line of titles that Asobo Studio and Focus Home Interactive have been dropping out there, only this time it takes us back before a good chunk of the main games. Yes, this is more of a prequel to the titles in A Plague Tale, but also focusing on a character we were only introduced to in the second full title. It is a weird bit of timey wimey stuff, but I am sure it will all make sense when 2026 rolls out and we get to experience the title on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Read More...

Resident Evil Requiem Is Aiming To Bring Us All A New Era Of Horror In 2026
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of June 2025 - 05:00 PM ]
Resident Evil The ninth main Resident Evil title has been revealed with Resident Evil Requiem on the way and coming much sooner than expected We made it through villages and various other remakes out there, and now we are back with the official reveal for Resident Evil Requiem. This is going to be the ninth official title in the mainline of the IP that Capcom has been bringing us for decades now. Something truly new, even if it looks like we will go back to a few places from the past in the Resident Evil story. Not a terrible thing at all, but worth noting so we can get an idea as to what is going in out there. Read More...

Final Fantasy Final Fantasy fans are going to be getting yet another blast from the past with the announcement for Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles Another classic case of something that started out as a rumor and now is a real thing, with the announcement for Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles. 007 The tease of Project 007 is finally revealed as we have the full announcement and look at 007 First Light now It has only taken five years, but here we are with the official announcement for 007 First Light. It is hard to think that it has been in the shadows for that long over at IO Interactive, but here we are fresh out of the State Of Play with the announcement. Sadly, the announcement does tell us that we are going to have to wait until 2026 to actually get to experience the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC. On the positive side of things, though, we do get to see some of 007 in action as well as when and where this version of it all is going to take place. Read More...

Review — Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
by Cody Killebrew [ Wednesday, 4th of June 2025 - 09:00 PM ]
Clair Obscur We sit down and review Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. A true French JRPG game that most did not see coming. Here is our review of half of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 A true French JRPG game, both in the sense that it was developed by a French company, Sandfall Interactive, and in the sense of a throwback to when JRPGs were turn-based rather than action RPG oriented. While Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is turn-based, it keeps the player engaged during enemy turns by incorporating some active elements into the turn-based system, namely that of Dodge and Parry. With successful Dodging and Parrying having more impact beyond the immediate, such as a counterattack with an individual character, or the entire party for enemy attacks that strike the whole party, if you successfully parry all attacks in the attack pattern, as well as potentially gaining more Action Points for your next turn on each character. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of May 2025 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week While we did not get a full week this week, we have made it to the end of things and had so many video games show up in the mix. All of the fun with titles like Mafia: The Old Country and Atomfall getting some fun new updates to take in. Then some of the smaller titles like Bad Cheese and Five Nights At Freddy’s: Secret Of The Mimic are having some fun too. Okay, the latter title might not be as small as the others, but it is not on the level of a AAA title we all have been conditioned for. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of May 2025 - 07:00 PM ]
Backrooms Enter into a new space of the Backrooms with the recent launch of Backrooms Level X on the PC Get ready to clip out of our reality and into another with the current launch for Backrooms Level X. At least, the PC launch of the game as Firenut Games, is still working on getting the game out there on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch. There is still a bit of a wait there, but for the rest of the fans of the Backrooms, there is no more waiting on the PC. The platform that I am sure most are going to try to experience the game on in the first place, given the origins of the universe the game is set in. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 20th of May 2025 - 09:00 PM ]
Killing Floor The new release date for Killing Floor 3 is finally set and we can gear up this July for more of the Killing Floor When it was delayed a few months ago, it was hard to figure out just when Killing Floor 3 was going to hit the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It was vague back then and the beta tests Tripwire Interactive were having did not offer up much in the way of hints.
