Go behind the scenes to see how The Casting Of Frank Stone is bringing the story of Frank Stone to life in the universe

Even though it was not fully featured during any of the "live" events recently, we have a bit more about The Casting Of Frank Stone and how the story of it all is coming together. Yes, this is a behind-the-scenes affair with Supermassive Games to see how the sausage is made, but one that will get a little more insight into the story we are going to get. All without spoiling any of the true horror that Frank Stone will be bringing to the universe of Dead By Daylight at the same time when it launches on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. All at a time that is still yet to be set down, but this does show how all of the expertise from all involved will be crafting a solid new title to expand on the lore.

As you are about to see here for The Casting Of Frank Stone is a fun little walk through the process that the team has taken to get to a place to tell stories within stories. By that, they are using the 8mm film framing device of the characters in the story to further be involved and drive things forward. It sounds a little like the premise of Wes Craven's New Nightmare by allowing the medium to be what is pushing the horror forward. If that means that the dark soul of Frank Stone is in the films we find or as we watch them in the game, the horrors come to life, we will just need to wait and see. It is a fun new way to take it all, so I know I am excited to see how this helps further elevate the part of Dead By Daylight that has always felt lacking, and that is a solid storytelling device.

Coming 2024

While the story of The Casting Of Frank Stone is kind of the focal point here, it is fun to see the character and creature designs we are going to have in the game in the background. I am assuming that the main masked person we keep seeing will be our Frank Stone in the story, and I am all for that. It looks like a welder who has had their lower face exploded out and never tried to clean things up. Something that can also make for a solid silhouette while we are being chased around in the game and making those snap choices that the teams have been known for in all of their other games. Each new update for this game gets me further excited and wanting to know a bit more about the lore of Dead By Daylight. If only that was told in a solid form instead of having to hope it comes up while running for our lives out there.

Do you like the look and sound of the story we are going to get for Frank Stone here? Does it sound like it is a good use of things used in the past or will that still need to be seen when all is said and done for this title? Could all of this be to further throw us off what the real story is going to be and that the masked thing will not be the true horror we are facing? Creep on down to the comment section to discuss all of that and anything else that may come to mind out there. We will keep on sharing all that we can for The Casting Of Frank Stone as it flows out there, so please keep on checking in for those updates and the many others we still have in store for you. It is going to be a fun ride to get to this finish line, for sure.
