This Week In Video Games 5/29/18 — 6/1/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of June 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week I have a feeling that will be the last easy week for video games for the next month or so as we are now in the E3 pond and waiting. We had a few things leak out there or get the full announcement this week. I am sure that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was supposed to be one of those video games, but at least we also had a nice announcement with Fallout 76 in the mix. That and a date to look for Mega Man 11 on and our review of the second episode of The Council. Read More...

Create, Destroy, & Enflame With Underworld Ascendant’s Latest Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 1st of June 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Underworld Ascendant A new gameplay trailer for Underworld Ascendant is here just before its E3 showing and with it comes the release window for Underworld Ascendant Let us all make sure to hold nothing back for E3 this year as we have another trailer out there and this one is for Underworld Ascendant. Okay, maybe not the biggest or most hidden of game announcements out there but OtherSide Entertainment has been working hard on the game for a while now and we should take note of it in the mix of all of the other big PC games getting the fancier shows out there. Especially now that it is known that Underworld Ascendant will be dropping for everyone in September now and will be bringing it with it all of the Action-RPG elements some gamers have been craving for a bit. Review — The Council: Hide And Seek
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of May 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
The Council We sit down and review The Council: Hide And Seek. This is the second episode of Big Bad Wolf’s interesting take on history & the occult. Here’s our review of The Council: Hide And Seek After a good chunk of time, it looks like the second episode, The Council: Hide And Seek, is finally here for this episodic game. The first episode showed us all how the episodic story game could be changed and Big Bad Wolf did a lot in the way of advancement for this form of game. It set the bar pretty high and now it is time to see how the next episode for The Council fares in all of the mix up. Read More...

New Screenshots For Fear The Wolves Are Here To Entice Us More
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 31st of May 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Fear The Wolves Brand new screenshots for Fear The Wolves have dropped in on us to give us a look at some of the locations and horrors Fear The Wolves will hold Here we go with just a little more to look at for Fear The Wolves today as some new screenshots have dropped for the game. Nothing too spectacular, but that all seems to be just to be a tease as Vostok Games should have more for us out at E3 this year. That is as long as Fear The Wolves is not slapped with down by other Battle Royale titles out there on the PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Given the different setting and mechanics we will see here for the game, as claimed by Focus Home Interactive, I have faith that will not happen. Read More...

Fallout 76 Is The Next Major Installment To The Fallout Line Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 30th of May 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
Fallout 76 After twenty-four hours of Fallout teasing, Fallout 76 has been announced and we have another little teaser to go with it The teasing is over and now the extra teasing continues as Fallout 76 has been announced after having an all-day tease from Bethesda yesterday. If there was not enough speculation and pondering going on during said stream, we now have even more as we have a name, a little glimpse of the Vault 76, and not much more to go on for the game. Well, outside of the fact that Fallout 76 is hitting the PS4, Xbox One, and PC at some point. We will most likely hear about that at the big E3 event that the publisher is holding during the week. The Wolf Among Us Season 2 Will Now Be Coming At Us In 2019
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of May 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
The Wolf Among Us The second season of The Wolf Among Us has been delayed until 2019 but this could bring us a better version of The Wolf Among Us franchise The wait is going to continue for those of us out there waiting for a second season to The Wolf Among Us. It looks like Telltale Games is going to be delaying it until 2019 instead of later this year as originally announced. All of which comes from the changes that the developer has undergone since it first announced we were going to see a second season to The Wolf Among Us. It has been about four years since the last episode came out, so what is another six months to a year before we get to see Bigsby and crew back in action? Read More...

The Sinking City Will Be Sucking Us In Just Before E3 This Year
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 25th of May 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
The Sinking City New-ish gameplay for The Sinking City is here to tease a larger showing of The Sinking City at this year's E3 as well as a larger reveal Are you ready to get teased? I hope that you are as that is what we have here for The Sinking City to get us all ready for E3 this year. Just like most other developers and publishers out there, it looks like Frogwares is doing just the same to get gamers ready for a larger reveal during the event. This may not mean much for most of you out there, but it does mean we have a little to look at for The Sinking City right now as well as a promise to see a lot more in the coming weeks. At least in a few weeks when E3 finally pops off and goes into full swing. Read More...

Enter Another Dystopian World With The Latest For Insomnia: The Ark
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 21st of May 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
Insomnia A new trailer for Insomnia: The Ark is here to give us another taste of what the world will be like in Insomnia: The Ark when it comes this year Get ready for one more Sci-Fi dystopian landscape to come at us this year with Insomnia: The Ark. It has now been set that this Kickstarter funded title will now be hitting the PC later in 2018 once Studio Mono wraps up work on it all. That should be a given for the game as they are still working on it and we cannot really play it until they are done, but it felt like it needed to be stated again here. Nonetheless, Insomnia: The Ark is coming this year and we also have a nice new trailer to look at for this Sci-Fi RPG that gives us a better feel for the dystopian world that we are going to be stepping into here this year. Lara Is Ever Evolving To The Point In Shadow Of The Tomb Raider
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 16th of May 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
Tomb Raider A new developer interview for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider is here and it takes us through the evolution of Lara from the reboot of the Tomb Raider franchise to now I know we are all waiting for another big update for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider as all we have had since its first leak has been a nice looking CG trailer for the game. It showed us what Eidos-Montréal was aiming for, sure, but it did not give us any actual gameplay or too many details for the game. I have a feeling this was to hold off until Square Enix's big E3 showing that is planned but to give us all a taste. Read More...

Insanity Rules In The First Gameplay For RAGE 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 15th of May 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
RAGE The first gameplay for RAGE 2 is here and it looks to outshine the previous RAGE in many different ways from shooter to open-world Just as we were promised, we have the first bit of gameplay for RAGE 2 to gaze upon and so far it does not look like we are going to be let down in the hype arena. Not only that, but it looks like it all also came along with some other news from Bethesda for the game for us all to digest and get amped up for another large showing at E3 this year. Like, for starters, that RAGE 2 will be a collaborated effort between Avalanche Studios and id Software and not just a solo gig. Read More...

Get Ready To Die As RAGE 2 Is Officially Announced
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 14th of May 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
RAGE RAGE 2 has been officially announced after many ‘leaks’ and teases for RAGE 2 started to pop up all over the internet with more to come really soon It looks like all of those ‘leaks’ and teases that we saw out there for RAGE 2 over the past week have turned out to be more than wishful thinking for some. It also turns out to be more than a fun bit of marketing that Bethesda has had with it as it turns out that the game is officially in the works and coming to us. I know some of you out there were not happy with the first RAGE title, but we are getting this sequel and it also looks like Avalanche Studios will be taking over to make the game bigger and better. This Week In Video Games 5/7/18 — 5/11/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of May 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Mark one more week of video games down with so many more to go. At least as long as the world keeps spinning and we have developers out there still creating. We could all die in a fire here soon and end up in a realm like Agony has for us after all. That would not be the way we should want to go, if at all, when we have titles like Red Dead Redemption 2, Days Gone, and Jurassic World Evolution to keep us all entertained and having a good time in the land of the living. Grant Is Out There Searching For Something In Overkill’s The Walking Dead
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 9th of May 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead The third character for Overkill’s The Walking Dead is here and he has a tale to tell that is just as chilling as any story in The Walking Dead The next character for Overkill’s The Walking Dead is here and we get to know a bit more about Grant before we get to see any actual gameplay. Yes, this is a new cinematic trailer for the game that Overkill has put together and does not seem to house any real gameplay. It may not be what you were hoping for just yet for this title in The Walking Dead universe, I know, but it is still something that Starbreeze wanted to have out there as we wait for that fateful date in Fall of this year so we can play the game on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The Council The second episode of The Council has been given a release date and we also get to see some of the new things coming to The Council in this episode After an amazing opening with the first episode of The Council, it looks like Big Bad Wolf is about to wrap up work on the second episode as it has been given a set release date now.
