This Week In Video Games 4/20/15 — 4/24/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of April 2015 - 11:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games Another week down and another week closer to having all of those video games that we keep talking about here. Or the DLC of said video games. You get the deal here. We had yet another productive week in video games and all of the news and updates we could have wanted. Granted we have the big Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 reveal coming over the weekend even though all of the 'leaks' and teases may have spoiled a bit of it all. We can ignore all of that and look towards Mad Max and whatever Marvel and Telltale have chambered for us in 2017. Read More...

Telltale Games Will Be Bringing Us A Game Based On A Marvel IP
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 24th of April 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Telltale Games has announced that they will be teaming up with Marvel for a game series in 2017 Time for the internet to explode as Telltale Games is teaming up with Marvel to bring us all a game series based on something based in their universe. That being Marvel's universe and not Telltale's The Walking Dead, Game Of Thrones, or Minecraft universes that they are currently working on. There is now clue yet as to what could be in the works between the two but given the history of Marvel and Telltale we can hopefully expect greatness. We may also be able to expect something along the lines of the TV/Game hybrid that Lionsgate has signed a deal for with the developer. Read More...

Review — Game Of Thrones: The Sword In The Darkness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 30th of March 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Game Of Thrones: The Sword In The Darkness. This is the third episode of Telltale's take on HBO's famed TV franchise. Here's our review on how they've done so far Fresh off the last episode of Telltale's Game Of Thrones we have the third episode The Sword In The Darkness. There was a rather quick turnaround on this episode which is good but did the episode suffer at all from the speed or does it help keep us all engaged as the TV version of the franchise is coming back soon? Well we sat down and played through the latest episode of Game Of Thrones so you can gauge if this needs to bump to the top of the play list or you can leave it be for a little longer. Without more gilding the lily let us get into our review for Game Of Thrones: The Sword In The Darkness. Read More...

Review — Tales From The Borderlands: Atlas Mugged
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 26th of March 2015 - 09:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Tales From The Borderlands — Atlas Mugged. This is the second episode of Telltale's take on Gearbox's famed franchise. Here's our review on how they did It has been some time since we had the first episode for Tales From The Borderlands. In fact we had four holidays and a whole lot of snow in between the first episode and the second one. This scared me somewhat as the first episode was so well done that I thought all future episodes for Tales From The Borderlands were going to take this long to perfect. I truly hope they don't. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 23rd of March 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
The launch trailer for Game Of Thrones' third episode, The Sword In The Darkness, is out as the episode launches this week It looks like the wait for Telltale's next episode for Game Of Thrones is going to be a lot shorter than we thought before. If you are playing the game on the PS3 or PS4 in North America then you have about 24 hours to wait as the third episode for Game Of Thrones will be out tomorrow. The rest of the platforms will be just like the rest of the game with Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3 EU, and PS4 EU on Wednesday and the rest on Thursday. We weren't too far off from the assumptions again on this episode of Game Of Thrones did kind of surprise now didn't it? Read More...

The Dragons Are Here For Game Of Thrones — The Sword In The Darkness
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 18th of March 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
A new promo banner for Game Of Thrones — The Sword In The Darkness, episode three, shows that we may be seeing more Daenerys Targaryen in the game Here we are just over a month from the last episode of Telltale's Game Of Thrones and it looks like we may be getting the third in short order here. At least that would be the normal speculation as a promo banner for the third episode of Telltale's take on the franchise has cropped up. What is interesting here of course is that it proudly displays one of the great fire-breathing worms that everyone jokes about never coming. Well if speculation is true then it looks like we may be getting more of the dragons and their mother in the coming episode of Game Of Thrones. Read More...

New screenshots for Tales From The Borderlands' second episode have been released to show a bit more of the action coming next week The second episode for Tales From The Borderlands will finally be out next week and we've already seen the trailer for it. Atlas Is Getting Mugged In Episode 2 Of Tales From The Borderlands
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 9th of March 2015 - 07:00 PM ]
The second episode for Tales From The Borderlands has a release date and a new trailer showing off some of the action we can all look forward to It's been some time since we had the last episode of Tales From The Borderlands hit our gaming machines. I guess it would be the first episode and there has been almost a 5 month gap in between which sadly looks like it is placing Tales From The Borderlands on the same level as releases for The Wolf Among Us. Maybe I am being a bit harsh here but this is one of my favorite titles from Telltale as of late and didn't want to have to wait until March 17th for the second episode. Yes, that is the date that we will be getting the second episode for the game. Read More...

Review: Game Of Thrones — The Lost Lords
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of February 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Game Of Thrones — The Lost Lords. This is the second episode of Telltale's take on HBO's famed TV franchise. Here's our review on how they've done so far The release of Game Of Thrones — The Lost Lords has come and now we have Telltale's second episode for the six part story that links into the TV Show from HBO. The first episode was a bit on the slow side and stayed safe with all of the standards that have been set up via Telltale's normal storytelling structure but did this episode follow suit? Or did The Lost Lords break free of the iron bonds and give us something really new to experience with Game Of Thrones? Read More...

Game Of Thrones Episode Two Has Its Launch Trailer Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 2nd of February 2015 - 10:00 PM ]
Game Of Thrones — Episode Two: The Lost Lords has its launch trailer released now just in time for the episode to hit our systems It feels like Telltale is a little off the ball when it has come to the next episode for Game Of Thrones. At least when you compare it to all of the other titles that they have released usually we have this kind of trailer the Thursday before a huge launch. Maybe they didn't want it to get lost in the myriad of Super Bowl ads over the weekend or maybe I am just skewed in my memory. It just seems odd for them to have their launch trailer hitting just like every other developer's launch trailers do. Read More...

Game Of Thrones — The Lost Lords Has A Trailer & Release Date Now
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 22nd of January 2015 - 08:00 PM ]
Telltale has released a new trailer for Game Of Thrones Episode 2 — The Lost Lords and with it comes the release dates So the whole theory that the Game Of Thrones video game from Telltale was going to sync up with the premier of the next season of the Game Of Thrones TV show is going to be thrown out the window. That is unless we get hit with a few episodes back to back real quick as the next episode, The Lost Lords, for the video game is slated to hit on February 3rd now. That's right, no Game Of Thrones episode for January at all as we now have to finish out the two month wait for this new episode. Read More...

Telltale Is Working On Minecraft: Story Mode Now?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 18th of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Telltale and Mojang tried to hide a Minecraft: Story Mode announcement in a game but it looks like we are getting it Hey look, just what all those Minecraft players want; a story mode. No? Well Telltale and Mojang are now officially working on Minecraft: Story Mode just for all of you out there who truly want some kind of story behind all of the mindless hours of tree punching. My whole experience with Minecraft should be obviously only based on what was shown on South Park so I have no clue if there is more to the game than that. All I know is that there is no Minecraft 2 announcement but a Minecraft: Story Mode announcement here. Read More...

Review: Game Of Thrones — Iron From Ice
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
We Sit Down And Review Game Of Thrones — Iron From Ice. This is the first episode of Telltale's take on HBO's famed TV franchise. Here's our review on how they've done so far The wait for the next Game Of Thrones season to start on HBO has been a long and grueling wait. Lucky for us Telltale has found a way to try and keep us involved in the franchise without having to read the books and spoil what we have yet to see make the adaptation. We finally have the first episode of Game Of Thrones out on our PS3s, PS4s, Xbox 360s, Xbox Ones, PCs; you see where this is all going. It's out on as many consoles as those who died in the first few minutes of the first episode of the TV show. Read More...

Here Is The Iron From Ice We Want For Game Of Thrones' First Episode
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 1st of December 2014 - 08:00 PM ]
Telltale Games has released the full trailer for Game Of Thrones — Iron From Ice to get us all ready for the episode's launch tomorrow The wait is now over and we have the first full length trailer for Game Of Thrones — Iron From Ice. This would be the first of six episodes for Telltale's episodic game adaption for the insanely popular TV show/Book series. Although the game is stated to follow the show more than anything and this of course covers the characters and the actor portrayals on the show. I mean, they have one of my favorite little people carried over in voice and likeness for Game Of Thrones officially now and he is supposedly one of the characters that made a huge change from page to screen. This Week In Video Games 11/24/14 — 11/28/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 29th of November 2014 - 12:00 AM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games The biggest take away for this week in video games would have to be Evolve, Reviews, and Telltale. When you look at the list of what we were able to cover this week in video games then it should be easy for you to see just about that. There were a few deviations from that list of items there but with American Thanksgiving and Black Friday causing so many hiccups in the news streams not many other developers and publishers had much in the way of news and updates for their titles. I am sure that will not be the case for the next few weeks given what is coming up in the world of video games. Read More...
