Torchlight Picking Up Steam For Day One

Yesterday Runic Games announced that Torchlight will be available day one on Steam. Making a big splash at E3 and then at PAX, Torchlight has been winning hearts and minds with its intuitive and fun playstyle. Where Did My Hats Go?

Today to my surprise, while chatting amongst fellow TF2 players in IRC, a sudden cry of "NOOOOOOOO!" began to fill the channel. Valve, the developer of Team Fortress 2, had gone in and flagged about 4.5% of accounts for using idling programs. I, being one of these hat hoarders, was also affected and have become quite saddened at the loss of my 2 hats. For those not familiar with the TF2 Drop system, Team Fortress 2 has items such as weapons, hats, and other misc unlockables available to earn at random when you play a server. Atlus Announces Golden Ticket Beta For Neo Steam

Atlus Online announced earlier today its plans for the intial run of its beta testing for their upcoming MMORPG, Neo Steam: The Shattered Continent. They will be limiting it to 2,000 random participants, including previous Neo Steam contest winners, to receive a Golden Ticket. Left 4 Dead Update Available Now For PC

Left 4 Dead has its first update available now, and the list of fixes, tweaks and upgrades is pretty vast. Currently this is only on the PC, and the Xbox 360 gamers can expect their update in a few weeks.  Here is the long list of fixes and changes included in this update:General- Fixed Survivors being able to climb surfaces marked for versus infected only.- Fixed a class of SurvivorBot bugs dealing with rescuing downed players.- Players can no longer grab ladders while flying through the air after a Tank punch. Valve Corporation and Sony Online Entertainment have just announced the availability of multiple Massively Multiplayer Online titles to Steam. You will now be able to purchase the complete Everquest and Everquest II collections, Vanguard: Saga Of Heroes, and Pirates of the Burning Sea through Steam. Left 4 Dead Demo Free 4 Everyone *Updated*

The PC demo for Valve's upcoming survivor horror game Left 4 Dead is now available for download without putting down a pre-order like in the 360 version. I haven't got a chance to try, or even download it yet. Hell I don't even know if my computer will run it. A Steam Cloud is rolling in...

Today, Valve has announced a platform that will store game applications online so that gamers can access them from any PC. Affectionately titled Steam Cloud, the November zombie thriller Left 4 Dead will ship with out-of-the-box support. According to Valve, the Steam Cloud "just works," meaning that any changes a gamer makes to configurations in-game such as button layouts, difficulty settings, or multiplayer options will be automatically delegated to the user’s Steam Cloud account on another computer. Gabe Newell, president and co-founder of Valve, explains: "For some time now, Steam has allowed gamers to log on from any computer in the world and access their applications.
