Final Fantasy New gameplay for Final Fantasy VII Remake has surfaced and it looks like Final Fantasy VII's combat system is getting a little bit of an overhaul It has been quite some time since we've had some updates on Final Fantasy VII Remake and how it is coming along. I know Square Enix gave us a nice trailer and all of that about a year ago and there have been peppered bit here and there but nothing solid for a while. They are focusing on Final Fantasy XV right now and the various other titles in the franchise so it makes a little bit of sense but that doesn't change our need and want for new content to look and/or hear about the game. Final Fantasy With the announcement of Final Fantasy VII Remake being multi-part Final Fantasy fans have asked for a reason and now we have one straight from the source Earlier in the week we had our first solid look at more than a tease for Final Fantasy VII Remake. Sadly this was also accompanied by a press release from Square Enix stating that Final Fantasy VII Remake would also be a multi-part experience on the PS4. As that was announced many Final Fantasy fans who have been begging for Final Fantasy VII Remake went on to express their gamer rage about it being an 'episodic' game and not the full one. It has been made official as Resident Evil 2 is getting the remake treatment so even more gamers out there can experience the horror of Resident Evil 2 It looks like fans and the internet win again as Resident Evil 2 is getting a remake treatment and it won't be a fan project as we've seen spreading all over the internet. In fact this news comes right from the horse's mouth as Capcom has green-lit Resident Evil 2 Remake and Yoshiaki Hirabayashi will again be at the helm. That would be the producer behind Resident Evil HD Remaster that hit the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC not too long ago and I am pretty sure he has his hands in Resident Evil 0 Remaster as well. I'm kind of at a loss given the world premiere videos that were shown already from the Square Enix catalog. A screenshot from the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain looked real enough to be used for real news This news report has since been updated but it feels more like a PR spin than truly admitting that they screwed up and used an image from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to shock people into believing their propaganda or at least listen to what they were saying. "News" outlet RT and show SophieCo were recently covering a story on children soldiers and were speaking to a former child soldier when the camera panned by and showed a scene from the next Kojima game. Like I said, it has since been updated to state that they knew it was from a video game but I have a feeling that is just to save face as something like this could ruin what the discussion was actually about. While at E3 I got to see Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in a more intimate setting than just the trailer. Here's my take on it All of the teases and short shows of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain can all be put aside now as we were given a new and nice look at the game and features that have yet to be announced or shown in a public form. It also kind of puts the whole demo thing for Ground Zeroes to the side as with what was shown here at E3 was considerably more and with a demo you should get all of the game's mechanics and features. Hideo Kojima gives us a minute and a half tease of what we will be seeing for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain out of E3 next week There has been no shortage of teases that we would be getting a small look at Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain before E3. Those have only been followed by the news of how big and "hard to watch" the actual gameplay footage at E3 will actually be. An interview question gets Hideo Kojima talking about remakes of the early Metal Gear franchise. In a recent interview on Twitch Hideo Kojima talked for a whole hour. Some stuff we already knew but a fan question made the future seem even brighter. While it would probably be very far off into the future it still makes my heart beat with glee. The only hope we have is that Kojima said he would like to remake the first two Metal Gear games. Lunar: Silver Star Story (Lunar: Harmony of Silver Star in Japan) has been slated for a new remake, this time being released on the Sony PSP. Originally released in 1992 on the Mega CD in Japan, and then brought to the U.S. by Working Designs to the Sega CD, it eventually saw a re-release on the Sony Playstation. The new version of the game will be fully remastered with updated graphics, music and video at an unprecedented quality.
