The Story For Resident Evil 2 Seems To Change In The Remake

Resident Evil

A new story trailer for the Resident Evil 2 Remake is here and we can see some of the changes coming from the original version of Resident Evil 2

There have been quite a few good looks at the Resident Evil 2 Remake since it was first announced and I am sure we will have many more before the January 25th release date that is set for it all. We still have a few more conventions and shows out there for Capcom to show things off at and they have done just that again out at TGS. This time it is a bit more than just basic gameplay but a look at how the story for the remake will play out a bit different than most will remember from Resident Evil 2 so long ago. At least that is how it all looks and feels here with the new trailer we have to ingest for the game.

As it is called, this is the story trailer for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. It shows off all of the fan-favorite characters doing what they do in the game. All set with the new visuals and gameplay that we are expecting for the game. As I said, though, it does look like the team is taking some liberties with the story to tell things in a way they may have wanted too before and were not able to. That is at least what I am going with here as it has been over a decade since the first version of Resident Evil 2 came out and technology for our video games has advanced quite a bit. Not only in terms of visuals, but also in terms of storage so they can house all of the spoken word and extra animations needed to bring us the full story that was most likely intended.

Have a look and see what I am talking about just below. It would make sense that there would be a few things changed up for the remake of Resident Evil 2 and from what I can see it will make for a better and richer story. At least based on what we have to look at here. It does look like the dialog is sticking true to the franchise and staying very "campy" or basic. It could also just be the parts that were used for this trailer. I am just getting a lot of the "Jill Sandwich" vibe from it all. Something I always loved in the Resident Evil franchise even though there were so many out there who would rather mock it. Haters are going to hate I guess.
