by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 8th of February 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn During a recent stream for Horizon Zero Dawn the developers walked us through some of the game as well as Horizon Zero Dawn's new photo mode It was brought up recently that Horizon Zero Dawn was going to be getting a photo mode mixed into the game so players could immortalize some of the best scenes in the game and show them off to the world. That was pretty much all that was said about it back then but recently Guerrilla Games hosted a live stream where more of the game was shown off but one of the big highlights was this new photo mode. Maybe you saw it or maybe you skipped it so you could go into Horizon Zero Dawn as fresh as possible. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 1/30/17 — 2/3/17
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 4th of February 2017 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site This week of video games totally felt a little skewed now didn't it? Between For Honor and Horizon Zero Dawn it almost felt like there were no other huge announcements or news to have been had. Of course we did as Resident Evil 7 had its first batch of DLC launch out there and then we had another character added into the mix for Injustice 2. There were also a few good recaps from titles that were shown off or discussed at PAX South and many other things. Read More...

Mass Effect: Andromeda's Pre-Order Bonuses Are Here With A Hint Of Multiplayer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 3rd of February 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Mass Effect A new pre-order trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda has shown up online and not only do we see the bonuses, but Mass Effect: Andromeda's multiplayer is teased Here we go with kind of a two-for-one with a new Mass Effect: Andromeda update here. We have just under two months to wait until the game hits our PS4, Xbox One, or PC and that means it is time to start putting our money down to secure what BioWare has for us in the game. Pre-ordering shows your support for Mass Effect: Andromeda as well as puts the bean counter's minds at ease over at EA; at least for a bit. That all said, now we have a look at just what securing your copy of the game a little early will secure you in terms of bonuses. Read More...

Let's Go Behind The Scenes Of Horizon Zero Dawn To See What It Took To Make
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 3rd of February 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn A new set of behind the scenes videos for Horizon Zero Dawn have been released and show off more on how Horizon Zero Dawn went from concept to the final build Just when you thought we might end the week without more for Horizon Zero Dawn we are all treated to yet another fun surprise for the game. Most of which is expected given the gold status and that Guerrilla Games has firmly set the February 28th on the PS4, but it is always a nice little surprise when something new pops up for the game. Well, at least it is for me and more so when it is something like some more behind the scenes footage on how Horizon Zero Dawn was crafted. Read More...

Time To Go Faster, Baby As Mafia 3's Story Is About To Expand More
by Duke Searles [ Thursday, 2nd of February 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
Mafia 3 New details on Mafia 3's story DLC have popped up and we can all look to see Mafia 3 change a bit before the end of July this year It's hard to imagine that Mafia 3 has been out for so long already and just when you think it is safe to put the fun all behind you…they pull you back in. Sure there have been a few updates here and there with a bit of DLC pumped out from Hangar 13 but the real substance people have been waiting for is to expand the story. That could be just me but that doesn't change the fact that 2K Games has helped it finally come to a reality as Mafia 3 will be getting three new story expansions before the end of July this year. This totally makes that Season Pass purchase worthwhile now and we have some timelines to look forward to now. Read More...

Horizon Zero Dawn Has Gone Gold & We Have A Good Look At The Collector's Edition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 1st of February 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn It has been announced that Horizon Zero Dawn has officially gone gold and it looks like the first Horizon Zero Dawn collector's edition has been unboxed There is no backing out now as Horizon Zero Dawn has been hit with the wonderful Gold Status that we love to hear about for our video games. All of which generally happens about a month out from launch and such is the case here as Guerrilla Games has given us all the thumbs up that the game is gold and getting printed to disks as you read this. Well at least that is the thought as I am sure that there are other things that have to happen or could be going on for Horizon Zero Dawn at this exact moment but none the less this PS4 exclusive will not be seeing further delays. Friday The 13th: The Game Has A Few Changes Coming Out Of PAX South
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 31st of January 2017 - 10:00 PM ]
Friday The 13th During the PAX South panel Friday The 13th: The Game had some new changes shown off as well as a new Jason coming to Friday The 13th and other customization Just before PAX South we had a nice new trailer for Friday The 13th: The Game pop up and it showed off some new music and a new Jason mixed into the game now in terms of the Misfits and the Part 6 version of the character respectively. Of course if this was all that Gun Media had for us it would have been a bit pointless for them to have a solid panel down at the convention over the last weekend. Thankfully for all of us and Friday The 13th fans that was only a small sample to give us all something on the first 13th that fell on a Friday of the year. Read More...

New Horizon Zero Dawn Gameplay Shows Off A New Quest & Much More
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 30th of January 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Horizon Zero Dawn Some new gameplay for Horizon Zero Dawn has been placed out there that takes us through one of Horizon Zero Dawn's main quests while showing off other new features Today is the day that we start to get inundated with all kinds of Horizon Zero Dawn impressions and first looks. That is because the embargo has lifted for all of those other major outlets out there that had a chance to join Guerrilla Games as they showed off the latest build of the game on the PS4 just to get everyone even more hyped up for February 28th here. Of course that means that some will just be words and others just b-roll footage of Horizon Zero Dawn, but thankfully it looks like we have a new look at a main quest in the game right from the developers and it not only shows off how nice the game looks but also a few new features that have only been glossed over in the past so far. Seeing as this bit of gameplay takes place somewhere in the middle of Horizon Zero Dawn and also contains some minor spoilers, I'll break down a few of the new items so you can skip the video if you want to have a pure play through the first time. Gwent A new content update for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game's beta is coming next week and will bring the Nilfgaard faction to Gwent in the process Gwent: The Witcher Card Game may still be in a closed beta setting here but it looks like the updates for the game's content will not be missing out on major things while we are getting prepped for the full release. As it looks, we will be seeing yet another faction coming to the game from CD Projekt RED here soon just as was promised and mentioned a few times in the past. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 28th of January 2017 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site One more week of video games in the bag and yet again we had a whole lot to talk about here. So many great announcements and updates where had as well as a few new games getting their official launch or heading into a form of beta or another. Of course there was a whole lot for Resident Evil 7 this week due to all of this but that is not to discount the Injustice 2 news and the fact that we are all gearing up for the Conan Exiles early access next week. That and the upcoming Ghost Recon Wildlands "beta" that will also be getting the kick off there as well. Read More...

Paragon Turns Down The Heat With Aurora As The Next Hero To Enter The Fight
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of January 2017 - 08:00 PM ]
Paragon The next hero to enter Paragon has been announced and we will see her and her icy powers in Paragon before the end of January Where does the time go as it looks like it has been yet another three weeks and now we have yet another Paragon hero getting added into the mix here. Well, at least getting added into the mix on January 31st as that will be the date that Aurora hops into the mix here on the PS4 and PC. That would be name of the new character that Epic Games has for us here in Paragon before you ask where I grabbed that name from. Maybe you already guessed that but I figured that I would cover all the bases here for now as sometimes basic intelligence seems to be lost on us for "reasons. Read More...

Just Another Bad Day At The Office Is What Looks To Have Caused The Surge
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 27th of January 2017 - 06:00 PM ]
The Surge A new trailer for The Surge has popped up and this one aims to show us just what caused The Surge that we will be dealing with; at least the aftermath of Here we go with a better look at The Surge just before the big showcasing that is slated for next week. Well at least a better view at the general story that is being set up here by Deck 13 as this seems to be a bit more of a cinematic trailer than anything that shows off some new gameplay. Seeing as story is an important role in an action-RPG, I guess it is good that The Surge is looking to have a solid one for us to explore and in turn survive. Dystopian futures are some of the worst ones out there and we all may need a bit more training on this as of now so I guess it's good that it will be here in May for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC for us all to ingest. Mass Effect A new cinematic trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda has been released to tell some more story and we get briefed on more Mass Effect goings on in the universe I hope you are ready for some more excitement here today as it looks like we have more to look at for Mass Effect: Andromeda in both a cinematic way and a briefing way. Both of which not really showing much in terms of the gameplay but a lot more on the way of the world that BioWare is bringing to us. Or at least lack of world as it seems that is what we are on the hunt for still in Mass Effect: Andromeda based on the new cinematic trailer that we have here. Read More...
