Dead Space Has Gone Gold So they announced today that Dead Space has gone gold. No surprise there with the release date no more than two weeks away. And that they have bumped the release date forward twice now. PS3 owners who are desperatly waiting to play Bioshock will get a little taste of the action very soon. According to official word from 2K Games, Bioshock has officially gone gold and will be releasing a demo this Thursday in the Playstation Store. The full game hits retail in North America on October 21st and goes global on October 17th. Note that there are really no changes from the 360 version to the PS3, except graphics wise. Read More...

In Gears of War 2 news, the people of Epic seem to really understand their audience. Epic loves us for exactly what we are, a bunch of achievement whores. Now while some people may be above spending time going through games solely to raise their gamer score, most of us are not. Epic has created a whole new type of achievement system, called "linked" achievements. Linked Achievements occur when someone obtains an achievement in the first game(Gears of War), this then unlocks new content in the second game(Gears of War 2). Then you use Google Earth to save all the people who were not ready for Z-Day. Brilliance! And it is call The Last Guy. Sounds a bit like playing Infected only using the top down map view, but still, it is a great idea. Could really help you finalize your zombie plan in your own town. This past Thursday saw the release of a brand new costume pack for Hot Shots Golf 5 (Minna No Golf 5 in Japan).  For 600 Yen (approx. $6 U.S.), you can have 5 new sets for your existing characters. They include a ninja costume that resembles Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden and DOA fame, two Street Fighter knockoffs resembling Chun Li & Ryu, and finally a Sailor Boy and Baseball Player  costumes.  Each costume has 2 different color schemes to them.  This is the 2nd pack released of costumes in Japan, and I would expect both to be released in the states by the end of the year.
