Many outlets are reporting on the new DLC for Left 4 Dead. Worthplaying has a small, but solid, summary:"The first L4D DLC - dubbed the L4D Survival Pack -- is due for release this spring and introduces a new multiplayer game mode entitled, Survival, plus two complete campaigns for Versus Mode . A Critic's Choice Edition of the game is also heading to retail stores this spring, and will include access to all the content introduced in the L4D: Survival Pack. Dead Space Wii Announced So completely out of left field, the guys over at Kotaku found some interesting news about Dead Space. It is slated to get a Wii port sometime in the 3rd quarter of this year. So like around Halloween I would guess. So I guess we'll get to actually move things around with the Kinetic gun with the WiiMote not to far off. I'm not sure if I should be excited for this or not. Mirror's Edge Third-Person View Activated One of the major complaints I've heard about from this game is the fact that you can't play it in any way except first person mode. It is to keep you immersed in the world, but in some instances, it would be nice to have the option to just out to an over the shoulder camera view. Or at least a 3rd person view. I Am Alive due by end of March - Ubisoft No this is not a sequel to or homage to Portal and the end song. It's actually a new game that is being released by Ubisoft. Our friend Six Okay over at GearsOfWar.com made an update yesterday afternoon telling everyone that there has been an update to Gears of War 2. Here is the breakdown of what's included in the fix: Exploit Fixes: Crabwalking, invisibility, weapon-slide, melee through walls, unlimited ammo. General Fixes: Shotgun and Boomshot updates, meatshield chainsawing updates, team communication, Insane gamer pic award. Balancing: Planted proximity grenade updates, increased quitting penalties, spawn protection, flamethrower stopping power. A while back, I posted about a Gears of War 2 patch coming later this month. Now it turns out that coming along with the patch are seven new achievements. No official release date has been said, but should go live once the patch is released. All seven equal up to 175 points, mostly focused on the flashback and combustible maps. Left 4 Dead has its first update available now, and the list of fixes, tweaks and upgrades is pretty vast. Currently this is only on the PC, and the Xbox 360 gamers can expect their update in a few weeks.  Here is the long list of fixes and changes included in this update:General- Fixed Survivors being able to climb surfaces marked for versus infected only.- Fixed a class of SurvivorBot bugs dealing with rescuing downed players.- Players can no longer grab ladders while flying through the air after a Tank punch. What is it, well like the header alludes to, it is a new reality TV show on Sci Fi showing who is the ultimate gamer out of a selection of 12 professional, and extremely good gamers.
