The How Will You Survive Video Series Continues For Alien Isolation Showing Off What Happens When All Chances Are Used Up The reviews for Alien Isolation are starting to pour in and your last chance to pre-order what looks to be an amazing title is running out. Just like Amanda's life in the most recent and final video in the "How Not To Play" Alien Isolation video series to prep us all for the game's release on October 7th. That is when we will really see if Sega and Creative Assembly have been able to make up for the franchise's failing in the past. That is starting to sound like a broken record so let's just move on. Quan Chi Is Around In Mortal Kombat X To Make You Kill Yourself
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 2nd of October 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
The next character revealed for Mortal Kombat X is Quan Chi and we have a nice look at all the variations he will bring to the game It's been about two months since we had a full character announcement for Mortal Kombat X so it is about time to see a new character. Yea, we did kind of get Goro announced but that doesn't fully count as NetherRealm and Warner Bros. didn't give us any information on the character outside of being pre-order DLC. We need a full character announcement with variations and Kombat video to go with it. Read More...

Light Up And Get Stomped Out In Alien Isolation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 1st of October 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
The How Will You Survive Video Series Continues For Alien Isolation Showing Off Why Lighting Up Will Only Lead To You Getting Stomped Out Well it looks like things have just gone from bad to worse in the Alien Isolation "how not to play the game series" as now we are seeing blatant things most of gamers would never do in a game. At least if you watch the latest two videos from Creative Assembly and Sega just on that. We have one where Amanda chooses to use a flare to distract the Alien but then stupidly runs over an active android for a tag-teamed death. Read More...

All The Epic Beards Of Dragon Age: Inquisition
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 30th of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new video from BioWare and EA show off all the customization options we will get in Dragon Age: Inquisition including epic beards I guess customization in our games is something we really want in games and the latest Dragon Age: Inquisition video shows that off to a great extent. This of course is title that should have a crazy customization tool as BioWare and EA know we all want to be our own little snowflake even if no one may ever sees it. Not to mention that Dragon Age is an RPG franchise so it makes sense that we are going to be able to make our character look how we want to feel while playing Dragon Age: Inquisition. That is our prerogative isn't it? Read More...

Controlling the Crowd & Hiding Won't Help In Alien Isolation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 29th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
The How Will You Survive Video Series Continues For Alien Isolation Showing Off How hiding and crowd control won't help you survive the game Looks like we have a few more ways on how to not play Alien Isolation here for our viewing pleasure to burn out the week we have until launch. This time around Creative Assembly and Sega are pin pointing that there really is nowhere safe on the Nostromos. Not only that but we will have to herd humans and androids alike to make sure that Amanda makes it out of there alive. This of course is not new information for Alien Isolation but it is a new look at the challenges and gameplay we will come to expect. Read More...

You know what we are talking about here as we've had a whole slew of videos come out to show us how we can die and what not to do when playing Alien Isolation once it hits out PS4s, PS3s, Xbox Ones, Xbox 360s, and PCs. Some have been the basics that any infant who wants to survive anything knows not to do while others are very specific to the game. So let's sit back and give another look at how to die in Alien Isolation with this latest gameplay trailer. Read More...

All Those Wonderful Toys Of The Order: 1886
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 23rd of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
A new developer diary for The Order: 1886 has been released from Ready At Dawn to show off all the cool weapons and gadgets for the game We've seen some the cool guns in action for The Order: 1886 in the past so it is high time that we see how they came to be. I'm not talking about in the real world during the design of The Order: 1886 but also during the core of the game from Nikola Tesla and others. That is just what we have in the following video from Ready At Dawn and it is quite an interesting watch if I do say so myself. I won't go into all the details here as that would defeat the purpose of watching the video below but it looks like most of the gear in The Order: 1886 is based on, closely and loosely, the real world state of affairs at the time. There Is A Wealth Of New Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Information
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
Another gameplay demo for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has revealed a few more gameplay mechanics as well as insight into new characters Fortunately for everyone who wanted to see more gameplay for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain outside of the similar demos from E3 and Gamescom, we are in luck as we have a fresh new look from the TGS. Unfortunately it is all in Japanese so unless you can speak or read the language you are going to have to just go on all of the new and pretty visuals that Kojima showed off for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Don't worry too much as all of it makes perfect sense and you are only really missing out on the dialog for the scenes and slight commentary provided. Read More...

The New Hotwire Multiplayer For Battlefield Hardline Looks Intense
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 22nd of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new multiplayer mode for Battlefield Hardline has been detailed and has a new trailer from EA and Visceral Games What would the cops and robbers style of Battlefield Hardline be without epic car chases through the city? It wouldn't be worth its weight in platinum multiplied by a hundred if it didn't have that kind of gameplay included somehow into the game. Good thing that EA and Visceral Games thought ahead for all of us and included just that in the Hotwire Multiplayer mode of the game. Yes, there will be some epic car chases coming to our PS4s, Xbox Ones, and PCs here in short time and I have a feeling that they are going to be some of the most intense matches to date. Read More...

In Alien Isolation Everyone Will Hear You Scream
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 19th of September 2014 - 09:00 PM ]
The How Will You Survive Video Series Continues For Alien Isolation Showing Off Why You Don't Scream For Help Everyone knows the old adage that "in space no one can hear you scream." Well in Alien Isolation it looks like that is the next way that you can have the titular Alien upon you and ripping you apart. Yes, we have another video showing us how not to play Alien Isolation and this time it looks like taking the quieter option when traversing the ship to safety would be the best choice to survive. Although I don't think I hear any other screaming but the Alien's in the video below as the noise is made by trying to blow the thing up. Read More...

Survivor Mode Explained For Alien Isolation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 17th of September 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The latest 'developer diary' of sorts for Alien Isolation explains what Survivor Mode is for the game In the past weeks we've been treated with fun looks at how NOT to play Alien Isolation trough Sega and Creative Assembly's 'How Will You Survive' campaign. We've seen why going guns-a-blazing is a bad idea, why we shouldn't hide in air vents, and also just running from the problem will not help you survive Alien Isolation. It turns out that these are not just clever little videos to help promote the game but they could also be mixed into the Survivor Mode that has been seen at conventions since E3 this year. Okay, that may all be a bit of a stretch to try and link everything here back into this Alien Isolation topic but hear me out. Read More...

It's In The Vents Of Alien Isolation…
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 16th of September 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The How Will You Survive Video Series Continues For Alien Isolation Showing Off Why You Don't Hide In The Air Vents You would think by now that it would be common knowledge not to hide in air vent in Alien Isolation or in any horror situation for that matter. It is a tight fit for most and usually leads to a dead end quickly. They may work wonders for Batman but face it, all but one of you reading this are not Batman. Hiding in air vents when being hunted down is just not a good idea. Read More...

Skylanders Trap Team Adds More Kaos To The Mix
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 15th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
A new gameplay mode for Skylanders Trap Team has been announced called the Kaos Doom Challenge and plays like a tower defense Just in case giving us the ability to use and play as the villains in Skylanders Trap Team wasn't enough, it looks like we are getting yet another mode to play the game in. No longer do we have just a fun little platformer game but now we are looking at a "tower defense" of sorts making its way into the game in the form of the Kaos Doom Challenge. There is something about that word and Kaos that I can't just seem to put my finger on…* Anyways, this new gameplay mode for Skylanders Trap Team looks to pit players and all of their Skylanders in a 100 wave of "doom" where enemies will be flooding the arena to take you down. Mixed in will be the "Mystery Box of Doom" that will unleash gigantic villains into the mix to ensure your ultimate doom. Read More...

Guns Are Not Always The Best Option In Alien Isolation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of September 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
The How Will You Survive video series continues for Alien Isolation showing off why guns don't solve everything in the game If you've been out of the loop then you may have missed that Sega and Creative Assembly have a nice little video series slowly coming out for Alien Isolation. The idea behind it all is how to survive in the world that the game takes place in. It is also a nice look at how not to play Alien Isolation as the actions taken by the player in these videos seem to always lead to the titular alien hunting them down and doing very bad things to them. This latest trailer is no exemption from the concept. Read More...
