New Gameplay For Layers Of Fear To Add To The Horror
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of February 2016 - 10:00 PM ]
Layers Of Fear Another trailer for Layers Of Fear has been released and it shows off how Layers Of Fear is going to look when running on the PS4 and driving us mad A lot of buzz has been going around as of late for Layers Of Fear and the nightmares it looks to bring us all. The buzz should be going abound as Bloober Team still has us set to enter this horror title on February 16th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Between the early access stuff and the insane press kits that have made the circulations it looks like they are going the extra mile for Layers Of Fear. It needs to be done to make up for the last flop that they had and it looks like a lot has been learned from it. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of February 2016 - 10:00 PM ]
Overwatch The Overwatch beta is back in full swing and a few things have been added to Overwatch in the way of player levels and a few other game altering additions Just when you thought it was over they drag you back into Overwatch as the beta access has been turned back on. Not only is the beta back on and waiting for all of us to flood the game again but it looks like Blizzard has added a few new options and tweaks to Overwatch that are all based on suggestions from the community. Of course there would be alterations to the game. That is generally what a beta is supposed to be fore and there is a lot that can change in Overwatch before it hits the PC, PS4, and Xbox One in any official capacity. Read More...

Learn What You'll Need To Master To Master Far Cry Primal
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of February 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Far Cry Primal A new Far Cry Primal video has emerged to the net and it shows off all the basics of Far Cry Primal that we will need to become experts in to master the game We've seen a lot of great gameplay for Far Cry Primal up to now but not much of it has given any real great insight on how the mechanics and gameplay for the game will and can be mastered by us. One could just assume that Ubisoft wanted all of us to figure it all out when February 23rd rolls around and we all start to see Far Cry Primal on our PS4, Xbox One, or PC. Of course that is an assumption and it looks like it would be false as we have a new "101" video for Far Cry Primal that shows a good portion of the ins and outs of the games world, tools, and mechanics. Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games There we go and wrap another great week in video games. It may not have been the most exciting in the lot but there was a whole lot of great things covered during the week. Such video games as Final Fantasy XV and Friday The 13th had some great coverage but also a final release date for DOOM and new bit of story for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst even if it does make the overall game look a lot different than we grew to love before. Thus is the way of video games right? Of course it is. Read More...

Here's Paragon's Kallari Showing Off All Of The Hero Abilities
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of February 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Paragon Another hero for Paragon is out there and showing off hero abilities that we will all get to employ once we dig into Paragon on our own time Yet another hero for Paragon has stepped out of the shadows for us and all in the vein of showing off some new hero abilities for the game. Well at least hero abilities for Kallari as I know each hero is being hand crafted by Epic Games to be unique and not share a thing. Of course that is the hope for Paragon and we'll all just have to wait and see if that is how things actually go. I have faith and so should you but then again Paragon could fall to the same gaming issues as many other games out there. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of February 2016 - 10:00 PM ]
Dying Light Be The Zombie mode is back for Dying Light: The Following and it has been given a few tweaks and updates to make this 4v1 online experience in Dying Light even more intense with the new expansion Only a few days now until Dying Light: The Following is available for us all to enjoy. One would think that Techland had already shown us all the good stuff for the huge expansion so far but it looks like they had yet another thing up their sleeves. While it did make sense for it to still be in the game as it was on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC already, the Be The Zombie mode is coming back for Dying Light: The Following. Of course with the alterations included to make it balanced again given the new updates and changes coming with the expansion. Read More...

DOOM Is Finally Coming This May & Bringing Something Extra
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of February 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
DOOM The release date for DOOM has been set and we also have a nice, new collector's edition for DOOM to try and get us to drop even more money on the game The wait is almost over for DOOM, or at least in sight, as we now have a solid release date for the game and it is May 13th 2016. Looks like id Software has finally made it to a place in the development process where they feel they can dictate when DOOM hits the PS4, Xbox One, and PC without worry of having to delay. Now mostly everything rests on Bethesda's shoulders to make sure we all know about DOOM and what to expect in this title even though the franchise has been around for over two decades. Hopefully you have a grasp on it so far. Read More...

Another Pair Of Badasses Join The Ranks Of Battleborn
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of February 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Battleborn Two more characters join Battleborn as playable and we have a bit more gameplay for Battleborn to show off how they fit into the 5v5 multiplayer experience We can now bring the total number of characters revealed for Battleborn up to 20 out of the 25 as we have two more to add to the list. Not only two more characters to add but Gearbox has also given us some new gameplay footage for Battleborn to show off these new characters in all of their virtual glory. There is still plenty of time before the May 3rd release date for Battleborn to get those other five characters in there but there is a beta and promotions to be had for the game on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC so I am sure they will be in short order to get out. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of February 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Hitman Another promotional trailer for Hitman has come out and it helps dictate a little more on the overall story of Hitman's episodic journey as well as some of the items to be used If you had no clue that the new Hitman was about being in a world where assassination is key then you have no clue what the franchise is about. Luckily for those not in the know Io Interactive has a new trailer for us all to take in to get us hyped for Hitman's eminent release on March 11th in terms of the first episode and PS4 exclusive contract. The PC and Xbox One gamers get only the core episode of Hitman on that date so don't fret too much. Read More...

The Plants Of Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 Come In Varieties
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 2nd of February 2016 - 08:00 PM ]
Garden Warfare 2 A new gameplay video for Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 is out and it shows off some of the other plant types we will play in Garden Warfare 2 outside of the norm You would be daft to think that Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 was going to deviate from the normal set up that we had in the previous game when it came to variants to the core classes/characters. I'm not talking a few new skins that PopCap Games threw together to make it feel like there is something completely different for each of the characters but in some cases, hopefully in Garden Warfare 2, these added different gameplay features into the mix. Now we have a nice view of some of the other Plants coming to the game when it lands on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 23rd. Read More...

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Is Coming To Expand The Universe
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 2nd of February 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Star Wars LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens has just been announced and coming later this year to further expand the Star Wars universe in a way that only LEGO can do We all figured it was coming but now we have an official announcement for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I would have thought that TT Games would have tried to get this out closer to the release of the film to try and capitalize on all of that at the time but it just wasn't in the cards I guess. Maybe Warner Bros. couldn't secure the needed materials to make LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens back then. Read More...

Final Fantasy XV's Combat Has Huge Changes From What We Knew
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 1st of February 2016 - 06:00 PM ]
Final Fantasy XV New gameplay footage for Final Fantasy XV has been released and it looks like Final Fantasy XV is deviating a bit more from the formula we once knew We had a nice look at some of the stealth action coming for Final Fantasy XV in the near future already but during the last Active Time Report over the weekend we had some new gameplay footage that shows all of that have a huge change since last we knew. Square Enix still hasn't fully defined out for us all on how it will fully play out when all is said and done but those who have played the early demo of Final Fantasy XV on the PS4 or the Xbox One may be seeing things altered a bit more. In fact it looks like the team is trying to make the game open for even non-fans of the franchise here. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 1/25/16 — 1/29/16
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Saturday, 30th of January 2016 - 12:00 AM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games This week in video games did start out on a somber note but then things escalated quickly. I'm talking about the delay announcement at the start of the week and then a whole slew of new games like Conan Exiles and Song Of The Deep getting full announcements. We even were able to put a nail in the announcement of TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan and sit back and wait for that to come out now. All kinds of great news in video games and we haven't even made it into the bulk of PAX South that is going on right now. Read More...
